Shadestar settled down in his willow tree for the night.The deaths had been shown for day one.Apollo and Arjanna had died,not that Shadestar cared that much.Less tributes to worry about for him.

Although,he had been surprised by the fact Silverpaw,Bearpaw,Kelive,and Splash had survived day one.Tributes their ages would be dead by the middle of the first day.Could they actually have a chance at winning?

No,Shadestar thought,curling his claws into the soft wood.If anybody's going to the win the Games,it's going to be me.

As he was about to drift off into sleep,he heard a soft scrabbling at the bottom.Suspicion rose in Shadestar.Looking down,he saw a brown wolf gazing up at him,his pale green eyes expressionless.

"Are you teamed up with anyone?"he asked.

Shadestar curled his lip."No,why?"he answered curtly.

The brown male wolf didn't draw his unblinking gaze from him."You want to win the Games,correct?"

Shadestar's hackles rose along his neck."Yes...and this concerns you why?"

The wolf narrowed his eyes."I'm Dodre,and I'm going to help you win the games."

The wiry brown tom suddenly widened his eyes in curiosity."Hmm...continue."

"My strength is what got me through the beginning of the Games.Lucky it did.Because I got these,"he answered,lifting a paw to show sharp-to-the-point dog teeth over his blunt claws.

Shadestar's tail twitched in surprise.Amazement grew inside of him.He'll be a valuable companion,he thought."Impressive,"Shadestar mewed."But what if you lose those?How will you defend yourself then?"

Dodre just smirked."You're really blind to the obvious,aren't you?"he snarled,showing his yellow teeth."I can kill without some dog's teeth."

Shadestar growled deeply,his pelt growing hot.He didn't like being made a fool of."Fine.You may as well join me,"he grunted,curling his tail around his body.

"I'm glad we came to an agreement,"Dodre woofed,nodding."Tomorrow,we hunt and find a water source,then we go in for the kill."

Who said you're suddenly now the leader? Shadestar thought bitterly.He didn't dare speak it out loud though.Now that he had reinforcements,he had a better chance of winning,so it was better he kept his muzzle shut and not do anything to upset Dodre.Although something about the brown wolf sent shivers down Shadestar's spine...

Now Shadestar's got himself a partner,and he be dangerous... -3- But can he be trusted is the question.What do you think so far? c: Should I team the other O.C.'s up,or just let the majority fend for themselves?Let me know what you think!
