"You have to promise me you will keep it safe at any cost, protect it with your whole being. If it ever gets into the wrong hands the whole empire would be destroyed. I don't think I'll be able to live much more. You have to take care of Taehyung-ah, protect him, there are too many people who'd want to take over the company and for that, they will go to any limits. Promise me you will stay by him."

"But sire, you need to get to the hospital. Please let me take you!" The lone voice in the room said.

"I don't have any more time. I have spent too much of it running from them, even if not today I'll eventually be murdered." Mr. Kim said taking a deep breath. "Better I die an honorable death on my throne, reigns still in my hand then get murdered in the hospital bathroom-" His words were cut off by the sudden coughing spree, puking out blood. "Promise me you will be by Tae's side."

"I p-promise." His voice broke, the dying man had never seen him shed a tear or even show a slither of emotion but here he was holding on to him like he had been the most precious thing in the world until he was the only one alive in the room.
