19: The Not-So Lovely Tale of a Cheesy Boy

🎁 Blake Christian – Dec. 19, 2014

I used to think that I was a very good liar, where I could let a lie slip past my tongue and no one would question it but this wasn’t the case with Liam. I don’t know how, but he knew I was lying. He gave me a disapproving look before taking a seat in front of me. He had two lattes in his hands which he placed on the table before sighing.

“I was going to go visit you because you were sick, and I’d thought some coffee would help you get better,” he tells me just spinning one of the drinks with his hands. I then realized that Liam knew much more about me than I know of him, he just seemed like a closed book and I wanted to know more about him – so that I could add to the gift I had thought about. “But it’s obvious that you’re not sick.”

“I’m sorry, I just needed a break from work,” I tell him with a sigh which is half the truth but I had mostly skipped so I could look for a gift for him. I look down at the latte that I presumed was supposed to be mine. “Liam, tell me more.”

“What?” He asked, eyebrows rose as he looked up to meet my gaze. He took a sip of his latte after I shrugged.

“I mean, I feel like you know more about me than I know of you.”

“Uhm, let’s fix that then…  I was born in Wolverhampton, England…”

We spent the rest of the day, in Starbucks, talking about our lives before New York, then why we came to New York – he had the purpose to experience a new place and I had come here just because Christmas in New York was amazing and it would be too expensive to make a trip to New York every time – then how life had been. I was honestly glad that this happened because I feel like I knew more about him now and that’s just what I needed. That time spent with him was filled with laughter, adoring smiles, hand holding across the table, an overwhelming amount of lattes and storytelling. It was one of the best days of my life.

The next morning, I woke up to see Liam beside me – in all honesty, it freaked me out so I naturally screamed causing him to jolt awake and roll of the bed. It was then that I realized that he had spent the night, because it was very late when we left Starbucks and both of us were dead tired, him from working and worrying about my health – which I think is bull because he can’t be that worried and me from running around looking for the perfect gift for him. Which, I had finally decided one once I saw him at Starbucks.

“What the hell, Blake?” Liam grumbled, sitting up so his head was visible beside the bed. I gave him a sheepish grin to which he rolled his eyes at. “You’re lucky you’re cute in the morning.”

“Stop lying,” I say while sitting up myself revealing that I was in a tank top and fuzzy pajama pants. Liam sat back on the bed all while looking me in the eye.

“I’m not lying,” he says in a genuine voice. He pushes a strand of hair behind my ear. “You look like those girls in the films that wake up with neat hair and natural beauty.”

I push his shoulder slightly, making him chuckle. “I’m serious, Blake.”

“No, you’re just a big ball of cheese.”

(A/N): aw, they’re getting to know more about each other! And they had their first #lake sleep over and I thought it was funny that Blake freaked out, and I thought it was cute how Liam is such a cheese ball. Oh my gosh, I can’t handle right now. I hope you liked it though!

Please vote, fan, comment – have a freaking party because break is finally here!

P.S. gif gif gif omg he looks so good
