Third Person POV
Tul was awakened by the feel of a hand lightly brushing away a few strands of hair from his forehead. He slowly opened his eyes, squinting them in reflex at the light streaming through the window. Then he sat bolt upright at the realization that he was not in his own room.
"G'morning, love."
Tul turned his face and looked down to the sound of the voice coming from his right side.
"Aimee! What am I doing on your bed in your room???" he asked in a panicked voice.
"How do you know that this is my room? You've never been in my room before." Aimee teased him.
"This isn't a hotel room, I can tell," Tul said in a somber voice.
"Oh you've been in hotel rooms so many times that you can tell in one glance," Aimee's voice was still teasing.
"I need to know what happened, what's happening ..."
"And what might happen?" Aimee interrupted. She posed seductively, lying on her side, resting her head on the back of her hand, her elbow propping up her upper body.
Aimee was wearing a sheer transparent negligee.
Tul turned his back on her and quickly stood up from the bed. He looked around for his clothes when he realized that he was wearing only a pair of boxer shorts.
He noticed them draped across the wide stool in front of Aimee's vanity dresser with a large mirror.
He pressed two fingers against the side of his head when he started to feel a throbbing pain. Oh no, he knew this was the beginning of a hangover. Now he started to remember what had happened last night.
He and Max had a big argument earlier that evening. The argument had turned so intense that they had almost exchanged blows.
Max and Tul were partners in a men's apparel business and a large amount of funds had gone missing and unaccounted for. Tul got so upset and offended when Max hinted at him being the cause of the disappearance of the funds.
Max and Tul had parted ways very angry at each other and Tul had invited Aimee to a bar where he had hoped to have only a few drinks but before the night was over he was totally soused.
Aimee watched from the bed as Tul put his clothes on, pausing every now and then to press two fingers against the side of his painfully throbbing forehead.
"I'm guessing by your silence that you have now recalled what happened last night," Aimee said as she continued to watch Tul from the bed.
"Thank you for taking care of me last night," Tul said as he started to walk out of Aimee's room.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa there Nelly," Aimee said, getting up from the bed to grab a garnet silk robe and quickly putting it on, tying the sash as she followed Tul into her living room. "Not so fast, handsome. Your car is still in the parking lot of the Melody Lounge (A/N: This is just a made up name for a bar. Author doesn't know if such a name exists. If it does, it's purely coincidental.) I will have to drive you back over there to pick it up. But before we do that, why don't I fix you some breakfast."
"I don't think I can hold down any solid food," Tul said gloomily. "But thank you for the offer."
"Some chamomile tea, then?" Aimee offered.
"Yes, thank you." Tul replied. "And I'm sorry for being so grumpy to you."
"No worries, I understand," Aimee said, walking into her kitchen and starting to fix Tul and herself some chamomile tea.
Tul was just about to bring the hot cup of tea to his lips when his phone started to sound.
The ringtone indicated that Max was calling him.
Tul put his cup down.
