Third Person POV

As promised Perth sat quietly in the corner couch of Saint's office and did not get in the way of Saint's performance of his office duties and responsibilities.

Perth picked up a magazine from the coffee table and started flipping through the pages, glancing once in a while at Saint as Saint signed several documents that his secretary Sara placed on his desk.

Soon it was lunch break and Sara came over and stood by the doorway of Saint's office to remind him that it was close to lunch hour.

"Did you want me to make any reservations for you or did you want food delivery?" Sara asked.

"You wanna grab a bite at that sandwich house next door?" Saint asked Perth.

"Lunch anywhere is fine as long as it's with you," Perth said with a smile.

Saint made a face at Perth, not taking him seriously.

"Please reserve a corner table for two at the sandwich house." Saint requested from Sara.

"Sure," Sara said, walking back to her desk to make the reservation

The sandwich house was right next door to the building where Saint's office was.

A uniformed waiter greeted Perth and Saint when they walked in.

They were ushered to a corner table which was partly hidden from the rest of the lunchtime crowd by a wide wooden column.

Saint ordered a Reuben sandwich with a diet cherry coke to go with it, while Perth ordered a fancy BLT sandwich with a coconut lemonade drink to go with it.

"Are you free later this evening?" Perth asked.

Saint had to think up a quick excuse not to see Perth this evening. It just wouldn't do to see Perth too often. Even right now, just sitting across from him made Saint's heart go pit a pat.

Saint shook his head before saying, "My parents have arranged for me to meet up with the daughter of their close friends," Saint explained trying to make his voice sound regretful. "She just arrived from abroad after graduating from university and her parents are eager to show her off to my parents."

Saint could have just imagined it but it seemed that a bitter expression crept into Perth's face but just for a brief second before he smiled and said, "That sounds exciting. I'm sure you don't wanna miss meeting up with her. And I'm sure she's not just smart but pretty and sexy as well."

"I have no idea," Saint said as he picked up his glass of diet cherry coke. "I haven't met her yet."

Saint had actually not been lying. His parents had really been bugging him to set aside an evening to come home and meet their friend's daughter Areeya.

It was obvious that his parents and his parents' friends were trying to do some match making between Saint and Areeya. 

Saint had been trying to postpone meeting her but he guessed that it was time that he put a stop to his parents' constant nagging. Maybe meeting Areeya and eventually dating her would help him to overcome his feelings for Perth.
