The next day, Jay work up to see Nya tying up her shoes. When she was ready, she looked up and saw Jay staring at her

"Morning!"Nya said giving him a warm smile. That really made his day

"Good morning Nya"Jay said and stand. He put on his shoes and the two started walking towards the kitchen. They sat and ate. Kai and Skylor had joined them. Nya had to go into the Maze. Jay decided to walk her to there. He wanted to see everything. How they prepared their self. They first walked to her hammock so she can take her equipment. After that she went to take some knifes, then went back to the kitchen to take some food and water from frypan. After the whole routine, the two finally started walking towards the Maze

"So, I can see you are pretty interested in being a runner, huh?"Nya said starting a little conversation

"Yeah..."Jay said putting his hands in his pockets"I don't like being trapped here the whole day, plus I will enjoy your company. You are actually the only one who talks to me that much"Jay said looking down

"Hey, don't be sad. They are like this with every Greenie. I was in the same condition as you before a year"Nya said and Jay froze

"She was here a year?"he thought"What did I do so much time?"

"Thanks Nya"Jay said out loud

"No problem..."Nya said"Actually, I fell some kind of connection with you. Like I knew you before I came here"Nya said looking down too

"Do you...do you remember something specifically?"Jay asked, but she shook her head

"No. I just feel it. It's inside me"Nya said sighing"I wish I could remember"

"Is there a way to remember?"Jay asked suddenly

"Actually yes. Of you get bitten and get the Serum in time, you will remember your past"Nya said and stopped"That doesn't mean you must to get yourself bitten, okay? You saw what happened with Turner"Nya said

"I won't! I was just asking"Jay said, then the two continued walking. When they arrived in front of the doors, Jay waved at her bye and then she ran away for the day

"Hey, Greenie"someone yelled from behind him. He turned to see Lloyd behind him"Ready for day two?"

"I don't know, but do I have a choice?"Jay asked and Lloyd laughed

"No. Now c'mon, slint-head. Today you are working in the kitchen with Zane"Lloyd said and the two started going back to the kitchen-for Jay's third time

After the runners had came back, Jay was sitting with Nya in the homestead, laughing and talking. Nya was laying in her bed, since she was tired after the day, so she decided she will lay a little, while Jay wanted to keep her company. Suddenly, Skylor ran over to the two

"Nya, Greenie, it's time"Skylor said and Nya gulped, then nod. The two stand and together with Skylor they walked to the still opened doors. Skylor and Nya took some poles and told Jay to back off. He did what he was told and the two girls walked next to Harumi, Seliel and Pixal. In the center were the Keepers-Cole, Zane, some more people who's names Jay didn't knew and Lloyd and Kai of course. Suddenly, he saw Morro dragging Turner towards the doors. He looked terrible. His skin was now from scales and his eyes were black. Morro shoved him in the center of everyone. Morro cut the ropes of his hands and Turner fell on the ground. He trow up a little blood, then started crying

"Please, don't do this"Turner cries. Kai was trying to hold in tears

"Poles up!"Kai yelled and everyone obeyed, then pointed them at Turner, forming a semi circle around him so he won't be able to run away

"NO! IT'S ALL HIS FAULT! YOU ARE DOING THIS BECAUSE OF HIM!"Turner yelled, pointing towards Jay. Jay was confused for some moments, but when Kai yelled 'push',

"Please, Kai, please"(IT HURTS SO MUCH TO WRITE THIS😭)Turner said one more time. He was still crying and trying to break free, but he couldn't. He entered the Maze, away from the door and looked one last time at the Glade and the Gladers. He let a last high pinched scream, then the doors closed. Everyone went to them, Kai still trying to hold back his tears. They let their poles on the Maze door and stayed there, silent for a minute, then Kai turned to Jay

"He belongs to the Maze now"Kai said and walked away. Everyone went to their separate ways. Nya walked to Jay, who was stunned by what happened. He couldn't believe it

"It's better for him Jay..."Nya said, putting a hand on his shoulder"He was going to turn into a monster anyways"

"What will happen with him?"Jay asked with fear

"I think you already know"Nya said looking down"C'mon. Let's go to sleep. It's getting late"Nya said and Jay nodded, then the two walked to the homestead. From pretty much time is wasn't so silent there. Jay and Nya walked to their hammocks and lay down, after removing their shoes first

"Night Jay"Nya said rolling on her side

"Night Nya"Jay said and looked at the ceiling, eventually falling asleep

"Jay"a female voice said. There was a woman with blond hair and white suit, walking somewhere

"Jay....WICKED is good"
