Out Of The Frying Pan...
~Jack
When we were at the pizzeria, I noticed that Mark was fidgeting a lot, always cutting conversations short when I tried to start them and whenever I mentioned the phone call, he would quickly change the subject. "Now you're starting to act like me earlier." I joked. He didn't even crack a smile as he wandered through the abandoned pizzeria, searching around for anything that could help us. I was surprised to find a giant hole where the stage should've been. "It's where I was tied to that chair with C4." He remarked when he noticed me examining the going hole in the building. "No wonder this place is shut down." I commented. It wasn't too hard to sneak in thankfully, nor were we seen. "It's not that bad of a place I guess." Mark shrugged as he leaned on the edge of one of the party tables. I nodded in agreement as I leaned next to him, causing the tabled to creak loudly. "What's been bothering ye Mark?" I finally asked. "I can't tell you." Mark sighed. "Why? I told ye my problems. Spill it." I whined. What was the big deal? It's not like anyone got kidnapped, I thought bitterly. "Look, just trust me, okay?" Mark gently placed a hand on my shoulder, his tired chocolate brown eyes staring into mine. Reluctantly, I let the subject drop. "Find anything useful yet?" I kicked a stray multi colored party hat, sending it flying a few feet towards the door. He shook his head no. I ran a hand through my hair in exasperation as I ventured deeper into the pizzeria. Just when I was about to head back, I found a single scrap of paper in the storage room. It looked like it was part of a flyer for some place. It read "Sister Location" in bright red balloon letters. I shivered and let the paper slowly flutter to the ground. "Found something!" I shouted to Mark, who was investigating the office. He picked up the paper and frowned in confusion. "What's this supposed to mean?" He waved the paper. Before I could reply, Mark's phone began ringing. He held up a finger and exited the room. Curious about who was calling him, I quietly followed behind him, pretending to look for more clues. Once he stepped into the office and shut the door, I pressed my ear against it. "No I didn't tell him...yes I found it, but-I get it!" I faintly heard Mark snap in irritation. The door suddenly swung open, causing me to tumble face first into the office and hit the floor. "Please tell me you didn't hear anything." Mark groaned as he rubbed his face with his hand. "All I heard was something about you not telling me something and that you found something. Now tell me, what's going on?!?" I demanded, tired of Mark keeping secrets from me. "I can't!" He protested. "Why?" I shot back. "Because you and I die if I do!" He yelled. A tense silence filled the room. "Shit." He muttered under his breath. "You might as well tell me." I told him softly. Hesitantly, he told me about a guy calling him on the phone and threatening to kill both of us if he had told me or did anything out of line. He was also the person that sent us here and left the clue. "You really believe this guy? You don't even know if he actually watched you or whatever." I scoffed. "Yes." Mark answered seriously. "Now what?" I asked. "He told me that I need to go to-" Mark was cut off by bullets punching through the flimsy walls of the office and nearly hitting us. "He said he would shoot me!" Mark cursed loudly over the sounds of bullets embedding in the desk and shattering the computer. "Sorry!" I apologized as I ducked under the desk with Mark. "It's fine, but we need to take you back home otherwise he's gonna burn it down." Mark stated. My eyes widened in fear. "They're after me so I'll distract them!" Mark expertly rolled away from the desk and flattened his back against what was remaining of the wall. "Go!" He ordered. "No!" I yelled defiantly and went to the opposite wall. "Now's not the time to play hero." "Now's not the time to argue!" I pointed out. Mark rolled his eyes and motioned for me to follow him. The bullets subsided for a brief moment, giving us enough time to get out of the office and to the door before the bullets returned. The wooden boards that covered the windows and doors flew off in splinters, escaping my arms as I shielded my face from the worst of it. The shooting stopped once again, but this time the door was knocked off of its hinges and fell to the floor with a bang. Standing in the doorway was a black shadowy figure that moved faster than I could follow. It raced like a blur towards Mark, gun raised and held it to Mark's head. Mark made no sound and didn't dare to move, although I could see in his eyes that he was afraid. Silently, the shadowy figure pulled a phone out of his pocket and showed me a news clip happening live. "It appears that this house burned down due to a stove failure. Firefighters weren't alerted early enough to save the house." A news reporter lady stated. It showed my house crumbling into rubble, most of it already reduced to ash. "No." I whispered, tears running freely down my face. I had lost everything. My home, Emily, the animatronics, and now my friend was being threatened in front of me. My vision turning crimson red with rage, I charged towards the shadowy figure. It easily side stepped me, causing me to run into the wall and black out, my head throbbing with pain.

"Leave him alone!" I snarled at the figure looming over Jack. His attention turned back towards me. It slowly walked over to me and before I could react, it lashed out with its fists, hitting me square in the face, causing me to fall to the ground dazed by Jack. The last thing I saw was a fist flying towards my face then pain followed by darkness.
