Chapter One: What's this?
(Y/N) got home and put the Deadly Nightshade into a container to use again. While she was putting it away, Bruce came downstairs to see that she had finally come back. He took her to the laboratory where he sewed her arm back on.
"That's twice this month you've slipped Deadly Nightshade into my tea and run off," Bruce said
"Three times," (Y/N) corrected.
"You're mine, you know! I made you with my own hands."
"You can make other creations. I'm restless. I can't help it."
"It's a phase, my dear. It'll pass," Bruce said cutting the string from her arm, "We need to be patient, that's all."
"But I don't want to be patient."
Back in the forest, Loki was still walking to goodness knows where. Fenrir started to pester him to play but Loki wasn't in the mood. But Fenrir was and continued to pester him. Loki gave in and made a stick appear, throwing it somewhere for Fenrir to go get it. Using his glowing eyes, he found the stick and brought it back to Loki who kept walking. The next morning, Laufey went to Loki's house to discuss the plans for next Halloween. He rang the doorbell and knocked on the door but he got no answer from Loki.
Loki never returned last night, not that Laufey knew that. He started getting irritated that his son wasn't answering the door. He usually does. The band who saw Loki leave last night told Laufey that Loki wasn't home and that he hasn't been there since last night. This wasn't normal for the people in Haloween town. Loki had been walking all night. He did stop to rest for the night but he didn't know exactly where he was until he woke up and the sun revealed the area around him. It was someplace new.
He walked into a ring of trees where he saw the doors to every Holiday world. Valentines, St. Patrik, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Independence, and Christmas. The Christmas door got Loki's attention. Loki approached it and opened the door to see the tree was completely hollow. There's nothing there. He turned to Fenrir and just shrugged. But then, snowflakes and wind surrounded him and tried to drag him in. He held onto the sides of the door but the wind became stronger and dragged him in leaving Fenrir alone and confused.
Loki spiraled down the tree until he arrived in a land of joy and laughter. Christmas town. He regained his senses and looked at the town below him as he had landed on a hill. He was shocked at the sight yet amazed. There are other worlds besides his and the real world. He watched the children Iceskate around with penguins, the train going past with passengers and presents, and soon the snow as he slid down the hill. He was leaning over to get a closer look until he lost his balance and slid down the hill. He landed in a pile of snow which he poked his head out of.
'What's this? What's this? There's color everywhere. What's this?' He held a snowflake, 'There's white things in the air What's this?' he bumped into a snowman, 'I can't believe my eyes. I must be dreaming. Wake up, Loki, this isn't fair. What's this?'
Loki saw some choir kids go past so he disguised himself as the snowman.
'What's this? What's this? There's something very wrong. What's this? There's people singing songs. What's this? The streets are lined with little creatures laughing. Everybody seems so happy. Have I possibly gone daffy? What is this? What's this?'
He left and went to a lamp to watch the children have a snowball fight, 'there are children throwing snowballs instead of throwing heads. They're busy building toys and absolutely no one's dead. There's frost on every window. Oh, I can't believe my eyes and in my bones, I feel the warmth that's coming from inside.'
Loki looked into a house he was outside of, 'Oh, look. What's this? They're hanging mistletoe, they kiss. Why that looks so unique, inspired. They're gathering around to hear a story roasting chestnuts on a fire. What's this?'
He wiped some frost off the window to see what else is inside, 'What's this? In here they've got a little tree, how queer and who would ever think and why? They're covering it with tiny little things. They've got electric lights on strings and there's a smile on everyone,' he climbed up onto a roof, 'So, now, correct me if I'm wrong; this looks like fun. This looks like fun. Oh, could it be I got my wish? What's this?'
Loki looked into the window he was sitting under. Inside were two kids sleeping in bunk beds. He opened the window and walked in.
'Oh my, what now? The children are asleep but look,' he looked under the bed, 'there's nothing underneath. No ghouls,' he left to another bedroom full of kids, 'no witches here to scream and scare them or ensnare them, only little cozy things secure inside their dreamland.'
He watched them sleep peacefully before, 'What's this?'
He left accidentally waking one of the children up but he was long gone. He was outside the window of a workshop where they were making toys and things for Christmas.
'The monsters are all missing and the nightmares can't be found and in their place, there seems to be good feeling all around. Instead of screams, I swear, I can hear music in the air. The smell of cakes and pies is absolutely everywhere.'
He dropped done onto a merry-go-round, 'The sights, the sounds. They're everywhere and all around. I've never felt so good before. This empty place inside of me is filling up. I simply cannot get enough. I want it, oh, I want it. Oh, I want it for my own. I've got to know, I've got to know what is this place that I have found? What is this?'
Loki was so excited that he ran into a sign pole and fell in the snow. He got up and looked at the sign above him.
"Christmas Town, hmm..."
A train sound came from one of the houses so Loki hid behind the pole. He heard cheerful laughter so he had a peek. He saw the shadow of a man in the snow. This was the Grandmaster. He rules Christmas Town. After seeing everything here, Loki decided to learn more about this world he's discovered.
