Chapter 5

The ground is getting closer and closer in my sight, the tops that were not even visible at first are now shooting out of the ground like rocks.  The first few times I performed this action the fear grabbed me at this sight, now there is no more fear.  Reviri is completely out of my sight but I know he is following my command.    At the moment when I think about it the huge black animal he come back in my sight.

With his deep black eyes he looks into my soul.  Still I let myself glide through the air and approach the tops.  As soon as I find the tops getting too close, I point with my hand to the dragon floating next to me through the air.    His wings, which he has retracted that time, he releases from his body.  He swings his wings and flies down at an intense speed, far ahead of me.

At the exact spot where I follow my runway down, he stops in the wind.  I turn around so my feet are now facing down.  Riviri's back is the first steady thing my feet find after seconds of floating through the air as a surface.  I bend through my knees to keep my back from breaking.  I place my hand on his back for balance.    I look around before i am standing up and take back my place in the saddle and command Rivir to fly home.

Closer and closer the palace that I call my home comes in sight.  Reviri's size is indispensable to people's eyes, letting him come closer will reveal his existence.  I will let him land in the deep forest next to the palace.  Reviri's black color fortunately hides him in the dark night.

As soon as his paws touch the ground, I let myself slide off the animal until I am standing next to him in the grass.  I take one last look at him and let my hand slide over his scales for the last time.  My hand goes to the necklace around my neck, a silver necklace that wears a black onyx.  I close my eyes and concentrate on the words I say next.  'Gyríste se pétra'

A dark blue light adorns Reviri after which it disappears into the stone around my neck in the blink of an eye.  The huge animal that was just in front of me is now sucked into the black stone.  A small smile adorns my lips after which I walk further into the forest.  Everywhere around me soft sounds of animals can be heard.  No bird sounds are audible but all nocturnal animals give themselves away.

The palace comes further and further into my sight.    Most of the lights are out which makes a happy sigh glide over my lips.  Step by step I get closer to the stone palace until I stand in front of the very high wall.  I draw my attention to the  lifelines running through my body and try to find all the energy and let it settle on my palms.

A strong wind pushes from the palms of my hands to the ground.  In a rotating movement my feet leave the ground.  The world spinning around me is a flight upwards. As soon as my feet find the stone ground of my window frame, the wind stops and I balance on the edge.  I look through the windows into my room.

I open the window and take a step into my dark room.  My second foot follows the other quickly and then i close in the window I just came through.  I let my gaze glide through the dark space, taken over by the night.    I take a few gentle steps towards the light button and press it.  The light illuminates the room in which I have been locked for years.  Officially, I have just broken the law by leaving this huge building, a law that only applies to me.

I walk to the wardrobe and open it.  At a fast pace I take off the black dress that hung around me.  It's similar to a dress but it has a black hood, it's more like a jacket without a front closure.  Also the legging full of pockets goes deep into my closet.  I help my body in one pair of jogging pants and a simple shirt, my sleeping clothes.  I pull a black cardigan over it and then open the door to the hallway.

A dark long corridor comes into view.  I let a glimpse glide through the empty hallway.  No one can be seen, so I put my foot outside. A feeling of hunger draws my stomach through why I start to make my way to the kitchen.  The last thing I would like is to meet my mother so I sneak through the empty hallways like a mouse.

I make this way around almost every day.  The first on the left, then straight on, the second on the right and then down the stairs.  I open the big door of the kitchen.    Some clerk who's already making breakfast arranging my appearance. They make a small bow and then continue their work on the potatoes.

I walk to the gigantic fridge filled with the exotic pieces of vegetables and fruit.  Nobody says a single word, that's not how it's supposed to be here, I let my gaze slide over the fruit and vegetables after which my gaze lingers at the only apple.  I take it out of the fridge and close it.  'We need it, Your Highness'
