Hidden Feelings

"Goddamit Cry how are you so good at this game?!" Felix, otherwise known as Pewdiepie on the internet, whined as his character was once again splattered in fountains of crimson by the saws that traversed the screen. His only response was that of a hysterical Cry laughing down the Skype call - making the Swede laugh as well. He couldn't help it; his friends deep laugh just made him smile, even if he was trying to be serious. 'Stupid Cry with his laugh and sexy voice! ... wait, what?!' Pewdiepie reran his latest thought process through his head, and that one word made shivers dance up and down his spine. 'Did I just...? Call him sexy? No. I called his voice sexy. I mean, I'm not the only one who thinks that, his fangirls make that pretty obvious. But I'm his friend, I shouldn't be thinking that!'

"Hey Pewds, you still there friend?" Cry's concerned tones echoed in the empty hotel room where Felix was recording, snapping him out of his dilemma. Felix blinked a few times until the blurry screen came into focus, his thoughts recollecting.

"Hmmm? Oh, yeah. Just thinking about..." Pewdie paused, considering what kind of excuse he could make. In the end, he came up empty. "Something."

"You sure? You look a little... nervous? Are you okay?"

"N-nervous?" Pewdie inwardly scolded himself for giving away his emotions. Then again, he was never good at concealing what he felt.

"Yeah. Is it about tomorrow? I know PAX is a big deal but, you should be used to it by now, right?"

"PAX?" Pewdie racked his memory for a moment, and then remembered. Of course, PAX. He hadn't travelled all the way to America for no reason. Sure he was nervous, but it wasn't like events like this were new - he'd been to loads in the past. No. That wasn't what was making him nervous.

"Pewds?"

"Y-Yeah?" Just the sound of Cry's soothing bass tones made Pewdie's stomach flip; his heart beat faster and he began to feel clammy, suffocated. In the past when he talked to Cry, he was nervous because the American always seemed more calm, more collected than he was; unnervingly so. But as they got to know each other, and Cry began to open up, Pewdie recalled numerous times that he felt nervous around Cry for no reason, and now, the more he dwelled on it, combined with his thoughts earlier, maybe - maybe... he had fallen for his friend?

"Are you okay? You look really pale."

"Do I? Well..." Pewdie gulped, trying to control his feelings before he blurted out his thoughts. "I feel a bit sick actually, so I think we'll have to make a shorter episode this time. Sorry."

"Ah, don't worry about the video Pewds; we can just work something out later. No worries." Just hearing Cry say that reassured Pewdie that everything was going to work out. "How sick do you feel? If it's about PAX I totally understand..."

"No it's not PAX! I just- I just..." Pewdie trailed off, unable to find the words he wanted to say to his American friend. There was a pause on the call, as though Cry was waiting for Pewdie to finish; but he never did. Eventually Cry spoke, determination hardening his usually mellow voice.

"I'm coming round."

"What?!"

"I'm coming round. Where's your hotel?"

"B-but it's already so late!"

"I don't mind- besides, I'm worried about you Pewds!" He's... worried? That was the only thought that struck Pewdie's mind once Cry's sweet words reached his ears. "I don't want you missing PAX tomorrow; I know how much of a deal it is to YouTubers like you... But anyway! Let me just grab my phone and I'll drive over."

"Cry..." Pewdie remembered with a jolt that Cry didn't attend social events like this, obviously - due to his hidden identity and all that. But he must feel a little left out... I feel bad that I'm going with Ken, Mark, Aaron and everyone else. I wish you could come with me Cry... I really do. Pewdie thought sadly as he considered how his friend must feel.

"Hmmm?"

"Y-You don't have to... really! I'll be fine!" Now Pewdie became unbelievably nervous - what if Cry guessed his feelings? I was never great at hiding things from people - whether it was my mother, sister, friends or... crush.

"Felix." Pewdie jumped nervously, unused to Cry calling him by his real name. It sounded so wierd, and yet strangely... comforting.

"Y-yeah?"

"I don't want you to miss this event. All your fans are expecting you after all; you don't want to disappoint them, do you?" Before Pewdie could answer, Cry continued; though he sounded a little more relaxed now. "Everyone's expecting you and - and I'll be cheering you on."

"Cry..." Pewdie felt his cheeks flare as heat rose rapidly to his face, and he quickly looked down - despite there being no face cam on the call, he felt like Cry could hear him blushing. "Thanks."

"No problem friend. Now - where're you at?"
