Order VI

Chaos and I had just finished talking with the Romans, and were on our way back to Camp Half-Blood. Instead of flashing back, Chaos had convinced me to ride back on a Pegasus with him, claiming it was more romantic.

He was such a seaweed brain sometimes.

"Wise Girl, what do you say we stop down there for a moment?" Chaos yelled over the road of the wind. I looked down and saw a private beach, illuminated only by the soft glow of the moonlight.

"Sure, but what for?" I said, but the ignored me, sending our ride, whose name was Triumph, circling downwards.

I wrapped my arms around Chaos' waist and placed my chin on his shoulder, enjoying the rare moment that we had to ourselves.

Triumph landed softly on the sand, and I gracefully jumped off of his back, Chaos right beside me. Chaos held the Pegasus' gaze for a moment, and then grabbed my hand, walking towards the sea.

"What did you tell him?" I said curiously. Chaos smiled at me, his eyes shinning brightly in the moonlight. His black hair was as messy as ever, and constantly moving with the wind.

"Now if I told you, would you give me a kiss?" Chaos said playfully. I rolled my eyes.

"Maybe." I said teasingly. Chaos pouted.

"You're no fun, Order. I told him to come back in an hour." He said, then looked at me expectantly. I grinned.

"I never said yes, Chaos. Just maybe." I taunted. He growled playfully.

"Well then, you rotten successor of Life, die!" He joked, and pounced. I laughed as he began to tickle my sides, and soon could barely breathe.

"S-stop it C-Ch-Chaos!" I screamed. He smirked.

"Not until you say the magic word!"

"P-pl-please!" I shrieked. Chaos relented, and I sat up, leaning against him.

"God, you're awful." I wheezed. He pouted again.

"Hey! Not fair, Wise Girl!" Chaos said outrageously. I laughed, and he soon joined in.

"So...have you reconsidered your maybe?" Chaos said curiously. I grinned.

"Maybe." I said, and kissed my silly boyfriend. He grinned victoriously like an idiot.

"Yes! Okay, moving on. Come walk with me." He said, and stood up, grabbing my hand.

The sand was cool and soft under my feet, and the wind ruffled my ponytail. The moon shined brightly, meaning that Artemis was probably in a good mood.

"So, how does it feel for you, coming back to Earth. I mean, you could've stayed here and had a good life too. But you chose to come with me." Chaos said softly, as if ashamed.

"Hey. I came with you because I love you, and I'll stay with you, because I love you. I don't care about the campers, I care about you. If they thought it was okay to betray you for that piece of crap, Theo, then I was happy to leave. You're stuck with me, Seaweed Brain." I said honestly, and Chaos smiled.

"That's all I needed to hear." He said, and kissed me, pouring all of his emotions into the kiss.

"So, Order, or Wise Girl, or Annabeth Chase, I have a very important question to ask you." Chaos said, suddenly serious, and I knew right away what was coming.

"The answer is yes, Seaweed Brain. I will watch Finding Nemo with you tonight." I rolled my eyes.

Chaos fist bumped the air. "Yes! This is going to be so great!" He yelled, and I laughed, then frowned.

"What is it?" Chaos asked worriedly. I punched him in the shoulder.

"Don't call me Annabeth Chase. We left those lives behind for a reason." I said. He smirked.

"Okay, Annabeth." He said, and began to run, me hot on his heels.

"Get back here, Percy Jackson! I've got business to settle with you trouble maker!" I yelled.

"You've got to catch me first, Ms. Chase." He laughed, and rounded a corner behind a rock formation.

"Oh, I will catch you, Mr. Jackson!" I screamed, and sprinted after him.

I had almost grabbed Chaos' shirt when I realized he was slowing down. Which made sense because he was a whole lot faster then me. Normally I wouldn't be able to catch him.

"What is it?" I asked quietly. He motioned with his hand to stay down, and drew his sword, Desolation. I carefully bent down behind s large rock, and drew my dagger, Striker.

"Chaos?" I whispered, not sensing any movement. Was he just messing with me?

He shook his head slightly, and began to walk forward silently. I watched him carefully, looking for any signs of enemies or monsters.

Then Chaos pounced, and there was a terrible wail. The wail of a Darkling.

Suddenly they were everywhere, the black humanoid figures with bat like wings and horns. I yelled and surrounded myself with a quick defensive shield, and rolled into action, stabbing anything that came near me in an instant.

I was working my way towards Chaos, who was flipping, rolling, and slashing around, killing four times as many Darklings as I was. Desolation was just a blur of titánio as he sliced through them as if they were nothing.

"Chaos!" I yelled, as one of them nicked my arm, and the black venom from their teeth began to mix with my blood.

"Order, oh Styx!" He cursed, and ran towards me, clearing a path easily. He got up to me, and began defending me. I was lying on the ground, in serious pain. The venom from the Darkling immediately paralyzed the victim, and temporarily removed any powers they might have. Curse those bitchy bats.

"Order, I'm going to grab your hand, then flash you out to our Cabin and Camp Half-Blood. I'll stay here and kill them off. Then I'm flash back. Got it?" He yelled over the roads and wails of the Darklings.

"No! I'm not leaving you here!" I cried, but it was useless, as he bent down quickly and touched my hand, as everything went white.

When the light Cleared, I saw the A-Team looking down worriedly for me, and Calypso ordering Luke and Ethan to carry me to the infirmary. Then a loud ringing filled my ears, and everything went black.
