Chaos XII

One down, two to go.

Both of the Darklings advanced, but they seemed hesitant, used to fighting in larger numbers. They growled at me, and I growled back, gripping both of my swords tightly.

When they stopped moving, I used it to my advantage, quickly running up to them, they held up their claws, expecting me to full out attack, but instead I slid under them, and stabbed upwards, killing them both quickly. Holding both swords with one hand, I took a second to catch my breath, before marching forward. This was my home, and I intended to reclaim it.

I passed more Darklings as I made my way to the throne room, but only in groups of two or three. I dispatched of them easily, my anger only growing as I took in the shredded interiors of the castle. There were giant holes everywhere in the ground, they had been mining for titánio.

Both Riptide and Desolation remained out as I picked my way through, and I soon grew deaf to the piercing wails of the Darklings.

There was a nagging feeling the in the back of my head, warning me to turn back, but I ignored it, gritting my teeth and pushing through. How dare they invade, I would destroy them all.

Chaos! Order began screaming in my head, and I mutely growled, I didn't have time for this. It was to late to turn back now.

I'm busy, Order. I responded, cutting the link and pressing forward, slicing through two Darklings with an angry swipe.

Sure, I felt guilty for ignoring Order, but I didn't have time. I needed to get to the throne room and destroy the colony. If I didn't, we could loose our only supply of titánio which was the only known material that could kill the Darklings.

Soon, all to soon, I stood in front of the massive doors to the throne room, a growl held back in my throat. I looked around me, surveying the masses of monster remains, wrinkling my nose in disgust. It would take ages to clean this place.

"Here goes nothing." I muttered, and kicked open the doors, racing inside with a battle cry.

Big mistake.

They were everywhere, almost immediately on top of me, outnumbering me 1,000 to 1. Sure, on a good day I could take about 100, but 1,000? I had no idea how they all even fit in the room. It wasn't that big.

Concentrating on protecting myself, I focused my energy on a shield and foolishly backed up against a wall, my clouded reasoning thinking that it would be one less side to defend.

And to have as an option to run.

I was soon surrounded, and I didn't stand a chance, already weakened and worn out. I'd fallen right into their trap.

My shield held, but barely, and I decided that I would go down fighting, if I was to go down all. Mustering up all of my strength, I charged.

I hacked through Darklings left and right, rolling and summersaulting beneath some to avoid deadly hits. My arms were heavy, as if I was carrying a 200 pound weight in each hand.

I was out of energy. But I was going to down down fighting. I'd served my purpose.

I could only hope that Order would forgive me.

Just as I dropped the shield, my body was consumed by blinding light and everything went black.

Order sat impatiently, drumming her fingers on her lap, Gwen watching her nervously.

"Order, I'm sure he's fine..." She started, and Order only turned and glare at her, a glare that could rival Chaos', he'd taught her the secret himself.

"Don't you get it? He's not responding at all, he's severed the link that he swore to keep open at all times, somethings wrong. I need Leo and Beckendorf to get that teleporter up and running now, we don't have much time." Order snapped, and Gwen bit her lip.

"I know, I know. They're working on it." She said, and slowly sat down next to Order. "I want to rephrase my last sentence. I know that Chaos is fine, think logically, he would only break the connection if he was in battle, and if you were distracting him. The teleporter will be done soon, when have Leo and Beckendorf let you down? Just chill, Order. We need you to chill, you're stressing everyone out even more then than they already should be." She offered in a calm tone, trying to soothe her friend. Order nodded harshly, but her breathing was slightly ragged.

"Yeah." She muttered, just as Calypso bursted into the room, slightly out of breath.

"Order." She exclaimed, panting. "Order, it's ready. They have his signal. Waiting on your command." She pressed down and held a button on her watch, holding it close to her mouth. All of them usually wore one, as it was a communicator that Leo and Beckendorf had built together. They  used it to relay information quickly and it was proven to be slightly more effective than mind communication, as sometimes links were severed.

"Do it." Order commanded, her grey eyes narrowed and her lips pursed in a tiny line. "Do whatever it takes to get him. Oh, is he going to be sorry when he faces my wrath." She growled as an afterthought. Gwen chuckled, and Calypso grinned, before relaying the information to Leo.

"I can't take the suspense, I'm going over there now. You two wanna join me?" Order offered, standing up and wringing her hands nervously. Calypso and Gwen exchanged looks, and nodded.

"Yeah." Gwen said, and they jogged out of the small room, and down the hall, over to the engineering room. They were back at Camp Half-Blood, seeing as all the necessary supplies needed to create a functional teleporter were there.

"Leo-" Order was cut off as she entered the room, and she collapsed to her knees. In front of her, was the teleporter beam, a strand of brilliant bright white light stretching through it. Slowly, it was taking form.

Slowly taking the form of a mangled, pale, unconscious, and barely breathing Chaos.

"No." Order breathed. "Chaos, what have you done to yourself this time?"
