The Next Day

"Well, look who wakes up first"

Ray grumbled as Shady handed her a cup of coffee, and she sat down at her station.

"What's wrong, Raydiant?"

"I saw Remus and Nymph being all lovey dovey the same as Aubrey and Tony! Who needs a relationship?!"

"Maybe your just jealous"

"Jealous, Aunt Shady? Please! I don't get jealous, girls get jealous of me!"

"Yes, jealous, maybe you do want a relationship but you don't wanna say anything"

"No! Relationships are for chumps and nerds"

"Sure, and yet look at your parents and how you got here"

"Yeah, Yeah, whatever" Ray took a sip of coffee then alarms started blaring.

"What's going on?"

"We are approaching The Quarren mothership!!"

"What?!"

Everyone ran towards the control room and realized that they flew into the middle of a battle between the Quarren and another ship.

"Okay.. what do we do now so we don't get destroyed?"

"Get to your stations, I'm going to have to try to maneuver our way out of here!"

"Got it!"

Fugitoid tried flying his way out of the battlefield when he hit another ship, causing both of them to crash onto an ice planet.

"Hold onto something!!"

Ray went flying onto the window, screaming and digging her claws into the window. "I HATE SPACE!!"

"SAME HERE!!"

"Ugh.."

They crashed onto the planet, causing the electricity to go out including the heat.

"Everyone alright?"

"Could be better!"

They all put on their suits and walked outside to see the damage on the ship.

"So, how bad is it, Fug?"

"Terrible, we need irrilium to fix the hole as well as the innards of the ships and judging by the temperature of the planet, it will be a miracle we even survive"

"Oh god"

Ray looked around and they all noticed that she was the only one not shivering.

"Hey, how come I'm not freezing, unlike the dorks"

"Well, your mother's abilities, it allowed her to change her body temperature so your body is naturally warm"

"Ooh"

"Damn, guess I gotta thank mama then" Ray looked around, she couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being watched.

On the ice mountain

"There they are"

On the mountain, there were two aliens, an older male and younger male. The older one has glowing red eyes, smoking black hair, and scars all over his body while the younger one had glowing brown eyes, and smoking black hair.

"The ones that destroyed our ship"

"Father, perhaps we should leave them be! It must've been an accident"

"An accident? They robbed us of battle and they should be destroyed!"

"But father-!"

"Come on, we're going."

"... Yes father" The youngest followed his father as he opened a portal, leading closer to the others.

Back with the others

"Sera, why are you trying to ice skate!"

"Because I'm bored and it's fun!!"

"Your using up too much of your oxygen"

"Relax dad! I'll be fine! Come skate with me!!"

Remus blinked, "Sera, the hell did you call me?!"

"I called you dad!"

"Why?!"

"Well, your Leah's work husband and she is your work wife! Mom and Dad!"

Nymph began cackling, "You better watch out then, Leah! We don't want any alien girls trying to steal our husband!"

"I'll try!!"

"Don't call me dad!" Remus shook his head, as he kept walking.

"Too late dad!"

"Ugh!!"

"Hey Sera! If Leah is Remus's work wife, where does Nymph fall on that list!"

"She's his real wife!"

"Ooh!"

The two aliens landed in front of them, pointing their weapons at them.

"What the?"

"You broke our ship and dishonored us! Now you will fight us!"

"Okay, let's all calm down!" Shady stepped between the groups, "We did not mean to crash into your ship"

"Please, we can help each other!"

"See father"

Ray stepped out behind Shady and Fugitoid, which got the younger alien's attention.

"Whoa"

"Whoa?" Ray looked at the younger mutant, she folded her arms as she rolled her eyes.

"Ray, relax" Leah started then looked over at the aliens, "Listen, we didn't mean to damage your ship and we're all cool, I'm offering my hand!"

"What?!" The older began growling, "I consider letting this slide and you offer the hand of combat?!"

"Combat? No, no! You don't understand!"

"Right.. we forgot to mention that the hand extended gesture means-!"

"Attack!!" The older began attacking the group while the youngest tried to stop the fight.

"Stop it! One crack in our helmets and death is immediate!" The youngest shouted until Ray nearly sliced him in half.

"Hold still you little goblin!"

"W-Wait! I just want peace!" The youngest gasped as Ray gave him a high kick into a wall, he turned bright red as Ray stood on top of him, "Whoa... A female has never hit me... Like that before"

"Hothead, relax!"

"Shut up!" Ray pulled out her claws and she was about to strike down, "I could kill you right now."

"You're beautiful" The youngest blurted out which caught Ray completely by surprise, as no one has ever called her beautiful before.

".. the hell did you just call me?"

The youngest was about to speak again when the oldest shoved Ray off of him.

"Father!"

"What in the cosmos were you thinking?! Fraternizing with the enemy!"

"I'm not allowed to call her beautiful? It got her to not kill me!"

The oldest growled as he shot a block of ice, falling on top of the group.

"Let's get them out! You taught me that this was a dishonorable death!"

"No, we must get to the irrilum first! You're mother is waiting for us on our home planet"

".. yes father"

The two walked away, leaving the others to freeze until Fugitoid dug them out.

"Ugh"

"Can you believe those jerks?! They just left us here, back home Metal would at least dig us out!"

"Exactly, but we need to keep going! Come on!"

The group began walking up the mountain but Ray walked up to Lena, stared at her awkwardly.

"You good?"

"Hey, if a guy calls a girl beautiful... What does it mean?"

"Ray, what?"

"Look, the little goblin called me beautiful and I felt weird"

"And.. your asking the only queer person in the group.. Why?"

"Because it's less embarrassing! Can you imagine if I ask the others?! And my ma ain't here to help"

"Don't ask me! No guy has ever called me beautiful! God, hey dad!"

"Oh for f**k sakes, what?!"

"Ray has a question about relationships and you're less likely to mess with her about it! So talk!" Lena said, making a gesture that said "go on" and caught up with the others.

"God, the little goblin called me beautiful and... I kinda... liked it."

"Oh, well.. that's called a compliment and it's normal for "goblins" to call someone they have an romantic interest in, things like pretty or beautiful so.. it's fine if you liked it"

"It's not that... No one has ever called me that, only my dad and my mom... It felt nice to know someone is interested in me..."

"Like I said, it's fine if you liked it and.. when I first called Nymph, either of those, it usually led to both of us talking more and becoming all "lovey dovey" with each other so.. do you wanna try and talk to him or something?"

"I might do that, cover for me, okay?"

"Deal"

Ray heated up her paws and used it to climb up the side of the mountain.

Back with the aliens

"So... They survived... They are... more resilient than I thought"

"Yeah, and we're closer to the Irrilum.. I told you they weren't dangerous"

"That shouldn't matter, getting home to your mother is our priority."

"Yes father.."

"Now back to you fraternizing with the enemy, what have I taught you about that?!"

"That the enemy, especially the females, use the weaker males as a way to get inside information... But with her it was different and that male has two spouses! If he can have 2 that are completely different, then maybe she isn't so bad-!"

"That doesn't excuse you from it!!"

"But father, she's strong, fierce, her scar practically gets me ex-!"

"Ahem." Ray was right behind them, with her arms folded.

"Dah!! U-um.. hi"

"Look, I'm here to talk... peace"

"R-really?"

"We can work together, as a unit, okay?"

"See, she's offering peace! Let's just-!"

"How do we know you're not working for the Quarren!"

"Oh please! I'd rather die than work with them!"

"See"

"Look, can we just work together?" Ray made her hand into a fist and stuck it out, the youngest was about to take it when a block of ice cut him off.

"What the?!"

They saw ice dragons growling at them and they began to attack them.

"Crap!"

They all began dodging the ice breath, until it hit the older alien, freezing him in ice.

"Father!!"

"That's your dad?!" Ray gasped as she was shoved out of the way and close to the edge.

"Yes!"

Ray was being pinned down by ice dragons and she was going to be eaten by the ice dragon until the youngest alien opened a warp portal which launched all the dragons to the other side of the planet.

"Huh.. you saved me"

"I-I believe I did" The youngest alien looked at her up and down, turning bright red, "M-My name is N'Varth"

"Your names.. What?"

"N'Varth, my mother picked it"

"Nva.. niv.. um.. I have an idea"

"Oh?"

"Yeah, so.. back on earth, there's this painting of a.. good looking guy so.. how about I call you Noah?"

"As you wish, and your name?"

".. Ray"

"Raydiant?"

"Yeah, but I tell everyone to just call me Ray"

"I prefer Raydiant, it matches your beauty"

"Th.. whatever you want! So.. what about your dad?"

"I noticed that your body temperature changes, do you think you are able to help him?"

"Well, we're about to find out"

Back with the others

"Hey... Where's Ray?"

"She got upset with me for some reason and walked away"

Aubrey squinted her eyes and looked at Remus, "You're lying"

"Maybe and?"

"Remus, tell us the truth and don't even think about lying."

"Damn it, um.. she went to talk to aliens we saw earlier"

"And you let her?!"

"What was I supposed to do?! Handcuff myself to her and say 'this is probably a terrible idea! You shouldn't go!'"

"Yes!!" Leah looked at him then at Shady, "Aunt Shady this is a terrible idea, right?!"

Shady's eyes were glowing as she was looking into the future, they turned back to normal as she looked at them.

"Good job, Remus" Shady smiled, "Raydiant needs this"

"What?"

"Um... Guys!"

"Yes Aubrey?"

"I think we're in trouble" Aubrey pulled out her plasma boa staff as they were surrounded by ice dragons.

"Oh no"

Everyone tried fighting back until they saw Ray and the two aliens fighting alongside each other.

"Whoa.. Ray's with the bad guys?!"

"We're cool now, Dunce-Face!"

The older alien fought back to back with Shady and Fugitoid.

"On my planet, I am called General Z'Arriva. You all met my son, N'Varth."

"That name's cool and all but I could give you a better one!"

"Sera, for the love of god, n-!"

"How about smoky king?!"

Leah and General Z'Arriva just gave her a look that said no.

"No, I got it! Canid Commander!"

".. works for me"

The Canid Commander nodded in agreement as he attacked some ice dragons.

After a couple of minutes, they managed to defeat all of the ice dragons.

"Did we... get them all?" Tony asked, out of breath.

"Looks.. like it"

"Listen, Commander, I will not offer my hand but on earth I will offer my friendship"

Canid Commander held up his fist while Leah mimicked the motion and looked at Fugitoid for a response.

"It is an Extraterrestrial, motion of an alliance and bonding"

"Okay"

Ray and Noah looked at each other, Noah turned bright red as he made eye-contact with Ray.

"Great! Now let's get the irrilum!"

They all began walking and they noticed how close Noah and Ray were becoming.

"Maybe.. you were right in not stopping her Mus"

"See!"

"It's just weird to see Ray getting all mushy over a guy"

"Let's just enjoy seeing her like this then"

"Um.. Raydiant?"

"Yeah, Noah?"

"I have a question for someone"

"Oh, who?"

"Whatever his name is" Noah said, pointing at Remus.

"Oh, Remus? Yeah, go ahead"

"Um.. Remus?"

"Hmm?"

"Um.. how does that work?"

"How does what work?"

"Your marriage between the two females, how does that work? I mean.. you're married to both of them.. Right?"

"For f**k sakes, Sera!!" Remus growled as Sera laughed, then he sighed, "We're not married, it's a bad joke!"

"Remus, how dare you call our marriage a joke!" Leah said, making a fake gasp in horror.

"Shame!!" Nymph shouted, walking away dramatically.

"No, that's not what I.. ugh!!"

"Is this normal?"

"Not really but Remus is right, it's a joke that we make" Ray snickered, walking ahead of him.

"Ooh"

"There! I found it!"

"Yes, and there seems to be enough for both of our ships"

"Perfect!"

Fugitoid looked up, "Oh dear.."

"What? What's wrong with it?"

"I'm afraid it's too big and it's a Quarren landmine"

"What?!"

"Maybe if we deactivate it, we can still use it to fix our ships!"

"Yes, but we might hurry!!"

"Yeah, cause look!!"

They looked up and saw ice dragons chasing them, they quickly picked it up and started running down the hill.

"Run faster!!"

"What do you think we're doing?! On a late night stroll?!"

"Ah!! They're trying to turn me into ice!!"

"Run!! Lena, Run!!"

"I'm running as fast as I can but I'm not on the track team!!"

Shady used her magic to block the ice dragons as best as she could, but it only slowed them down.

"Phillip, let me see some of those explosive baseballs!"

Phillip handed his explosive baseballs to Aubrey as she put them in a line on the ground.

"Now run you dork!!"

The two began running away as the baseballs exploded behind them, they kept running until they made it to the ship.

"Phew"

The heat and oxygen for the suits started to deteriorate, as they made it closer to the ship.

One by one, the teenagers, Shady and Canid Commander began to drop like flies.

"Oh dear!" Fugitoid began rushing as he saw everyone dropping, Noah fell backwards into Ray's arms as she dragged him to the side of the ship.

A few minutes later

Noah opened his eyes and Ray was staring at him, shaking him awake.

"Mm.. Raydiant?"

"Look who finally wakes up"

Noah stood up but his legs were still wobbly, so he landed on Ray's chest, grabbing her shoulders for support.

"Hey, you good?"

"Dah!! I-I'm alright!" Noah turned bright red as he stood up, straight.

"Good.. um"

"Well, Y-You're ship is fixed, I'm assuming mine is as well"

"Yeah, it s-should be anyway, uh.. Noah"

"Y-Yes?"

"Look um.. there's something I want to.. um-!"

"I've managed to finish fixing your ship! Not to be rude but we have a Quarren mothership to catch up with!!"

"Thank you, all of you... Without you, we wouldn't have made it home"

"No problem at all"

Noah and Ray looked at each other, but only Ray had the courage to say something.

"There is something I've.. wanted to say to you.. before you leave"

"O-Oh? What is it, Raydiant?"

"I.. I l.. I think I love you"

Noah turned bright red and started speaking in his alien language.

"What does that me-!"

Noah hugged her, "I believe I love you too..."

Ray froze for a moment before relaxing and hugging him back. Suddenly a surge of confidence overwhelmed her, as she lifted his chin and kissed him.

"Dad, hurry up and take the picture!"

"I'm taking it! I'm taking it!!" Remus took a picture of the two and hid the phone.

"And look who's no longer single!"

"Shut the hell up!"

"Nah!"

"We have to go now.. I'd like to see you again Ray"

"Same here, Noah"

Everyone else watched as Noah and Canid Commander left their ship, giving the others a chance to tease Ray.

"Oh sh**"

"So, you think your pops will like him!"

"Oh god!"

"Oh come on, it's a fair question! What about your mom!"

"Stop talking!!"

"Nah!"

Ray landed on the couch, she looked up at the ceiling as she touched her lips.

"That was.. Nice"

"That's how every girl feels when she has her first kiss"

"Really?"

"Yeah! That's how I felt" Aubrey snickered as she patted her shoulder.

"Huh.. I wanna do that again"

"Kiss him?"

".. yes"

"Aww"

"Our little Ray is growing up!!"

"Shut up!!"
