A couple of days went on, Remus has started becoming his old sarcastic self again, it filled the team with joy but Leah was still miserable.

"What are you dorks doing this time?"

"We're testing Aubrey-Rose's abilities with Donatello's old invention" Coral said, placing the physic nero transmitter on Aubrey's head with Casey and Nightshade watching her.

"Huh, do you think it still works?"

"It must've, I used gem technology as well as connected it to my gem"

"Okay, okay"

"Uncle Casey, can I hold your hand?" Aubrey whimpered as she reached out for him.

"Sure kiddo, here"

Aubrey grabbed his hand as tight as she could, nearly breaking it in half.

"Okay, actually why don't you grab my elbow"

Aubrey nodded as she grabbed his elbow as Coral turned on the transmitter.

The lights in the barn started flickering then the transmitter temporarily cut the lights and power out of the barn.

"Oh my" Coral's gem started glowing, making the room light up, "Alright, Casey can you light up the candles?"

"Yep, hold on Aubrey"

Casey lit up each candle, allowing the room to be illuminated which allowed Coral to lift up cards.

"Better?"

"Yes, now Aubrey-Rose... I request you use your abilities to see the photographs on the cards"

"Okay, um.. is it a cow?"

"No, here try again" Coral switched the cards to show an airplane.

"Um.. trees?"

"No-!" Nightshade interrupted her.

"Don't, okay, this one should be easy!"

"Um... Then my second guess will be a hawk?"

"A hawk.. Nope"

"Nightshade, you will spoil the test." Coral pulled out a different card, "This one?"

".. worms?"

"No, alright here is the last one..." Coral stared in shock as Casey slipped a photo of Tony into the card pile which annoyed her, "Really?!"

"Yes! She has to guess this one!"

"Ugh! Fine, Aubrey what card is this?"

"Um.. clouds!"

Casey started dying of laughter as Coral just sighed in disappointment.

"No?"

"Not even close!!"

"Casey, you are not exactly helping!"

"I know!"

"Of course you do"

"Maybe if I up the charge-!"

"That's not a good idea!"

Coral pressed a button and Aubrey started screaming in pain.

"See!! Turn it off!"

"I'm trying!!"

"Oh god"

Aubrey's hair floated as her eyes turned completely black, spikes were popping out of her shoulders until Coral turned off the transmitter.

"Woah, Aubrey, are you okay?"

Aubrey was panting as the spikes disappeared and her hair floated back down but everything in the barn was floating.

"Wow, Coral, look!"

"Oh my, her powers as a witch... They are evolving"

"Is that a good thing?"

"Depending on how much Donatello has taught her... A witch who can't control their magic is a danger to themselves"

"Oh dear"

"Aubrey-Rose?"

"Aubrey? Are you okay?"

Aubrey dropped the cars and gasped in shock, "Where are we? Where is the barn?!"

"We're still in the barn!"

"What do you see?"

"Clouds, trees... I think I'm flying!"

"Flying?"

"You're seeing things! Let's take this off!"

Coral took the transmitter off, hoping it'll fix her eyes but she was wrong.

"Aubrey?"

"I'm still in the air... Soaring but now I'm going down!"

"Going down? What are you talking about?"

"I'm not entirely sure"

"Oh geez"

Outside of the barn

Leah was stretching as Remus, Ray, Sera, and Light stared at her.

"Tonight, I'm taking you three down! Plus Lena and Phillip!"

"If you say so!"

"Take it easy, you four" Remus snickered, "She's been down for months, we have to let her gain her confidence again!"

"I'm confident, Mussy! In fact, why don't we go first!"

"Alright, my dear Lele" Remus grinned evilly, pulling out his feathered knives.

"I bet Mussy's gonna win! What about you two?" Sera asked, looking at Light and Ray.

"Remus," The two girls said in usion.

"You three really don't have any faith in me!"

"Girl, you know we don't tell lies!" Ray cackled as Light was struggling to hold in her laughter.

"Ooh! Burn Leah!"

"Oh hush up, shall we do this in our mutant forms?"

"Deal"

Leah transformed her eyes into komodo dragon eyes as Remus spread his wings, the two lunged at each other.

"Aubrey be careful!"

"I will, just let me take a step-" Aubrey nearly fell on top of a sharp nail when Casey caught her.

"Gotcha! Just hold my hand, okay?"

"Okay..."

"Hey Nerdette! Come watch!"

"I can't even do that" Aubrey mumbled, "I'm coming!!"

Casey helped Aubrey walk out of the barn but the minute she stepped into the sunlight, she took a breath in fear.

"Something wrong Aubrey?"

"I'm right on top of them!"

"What are you talking ab-!"

A giant creature screeched alerting everyone who was outside, flew over to them.

"What the hell?!"

"It's a... Half bird, worm, and fish!" Lovey shouted, trying to use her powers to contain the monster.

"Well, where did it come from?!"

"Who knows!"

"Isn't this a Chimera"

"That crazy monster that April switched eyes with, years ago?! I thought the mountain killed it!"

"I thought you guys did too!!"

"It must be stronger than it looks!!" Coral screamed as it's claws grabbed her.

"Coral!!"

"Help!!"

"We're trying!!"

Haley and Casey tried jumping on it but they ended up trapped as well as Ray and Lena.

Sera and Lovey tried using their powers to trap it but they got caught as well as Nightshade and Remus.

The chimera then saw Aubrey and Leah, and was about to attack them when Phillip, Angelina, Nymph, and Light jumped onto it.

"No! Let go of them!"

"No!!"

The Chimera flew away to a mountain top and dropped everyone else into a nest.

"Ew!! I'm covered in bones!"

"We can see that!"

"Ugh, where are we?"

"The stupid Chimera's nest"

"Well, at least we're not on the mountain," Nightshade chuckled nervously, trying to make light of the situation.

"Not helping"

"Sorry!"

"How about we try and get out of the nest"

"That's a good idea" Ray took a step back and she shuddered as she felt a bone crunch under her foot. "I think we're dinner"

"You don't say Ray"

"Move!!"

"We're moving, we're moving!"

Meanwhile with Leah and Aubrey

Leah and Aubrey were holding onto each other, slowly moving towards the nest.

"More problems with your leg?"

"Yeah, what about you? Still can't see?"

"Nope, all I can see is the animal throwing the others into a hole in the mountain"

"Oh god" Leah winced as she stepped on her leg, "Ow"

"What's wrong with it?"

"It stings!"

"Okay, let's stop for-!"

"Damnit!!" Leah sat down on a log, holding her leg.

"Leah, what is it"

"I can't do this! I... Can't..."

"Yes you can!"

"No, you don't understand! I was weak when I fell into that mutagen, I was weak when the diamond's captured me, I was weak when I escaped and got beaten down by Anton... I'm weak now... A liability... Everyone got stronger... Except me..."

"Leah, listen to me! You aren't a liability, you're our leader and our cousin! You'll get stronger!"

"But-!"

"But nothing!"

"Aubrey, how would you know how I feel?! Tell me that!"

"I don't! I'm just trying to make you feel better"

Leah sighed and looked down, "Everywhere I look I see his face..."

"Who's? Your dad?"

"Yeah, I can't stop thinking about what he felt when..."

"Hey.."

Leah hugged Aubrey, who slowly hugged her back.

"Let's save the others before they somehow kill each other, hmm?"

"Yes, let's go"

Back with the others

"Why don't we just use our grappling hooks and climb out of this hole!"

Light, Sera, Remus, Lena, and Phillip stared at each other as Ray, Nymph, Angelina, and the adults stared at them in confusion.

"Good idea.. small problem.."

"We... forgot our grappling hooks..." Sera giggled nervously.

"You what?! How did you forget them?!"

"What were the odds we'd get kidnapped by a freaky mutant?!"

"You hang out with us! What were the odds we wouldn't?!"

"You kids need to prepare for everything!!" Haley growled.

"Why do you always get mad at us?!"

"Because you have been in sh** before!!"

"How about we make a giant balloon?!"

"When will this nightmare end"

Back with Leah and Aubrey

"We're almost there!"

Leah was in her komodo dragon form, with Aubrey on her back holding tightly.

"Anything happening with them now?"

"I can't tell, the creature is still flying"

"Flying? Where?"

"Through the trees, past the farmhouse... Wait! It's circling back, we gotta hurry!"

"We're trying!"

Leah finally made it to the nest then heard Ray yelling from the hole.

"Hey hothead!! Who made you upset now!"

"Princess?!" Ray looked up, surprised to see Leah staring down at them, mocking them.

"Leah!"

"Nice to see you all too"

"You have to get us out of here, this is geyser and no offense I don't want to be melted in a room with Casey!" Coral shouted, as she finished wrapping Nightshade's wing.

"And I don't wanna be melted in a room with you! Nightshade, how did you mess up your wing and Remus's!"

"You dropped us when the rope cut and my wing got burned in the geyser water!"

"Oh geez"

"Are you done because I could wait!" Leah shouted, only to have Aubrey cover her mouth.

"We're done! We're done!"

"Don't!" Aubrey froze, "It's right on top of us!"

"What are you-!"

The chimera appeared in front of them grabbing the two girls then flying away.

"No!!"

Aubrey started screaming, "Leah!!"

"I'm fine!"

"Are you sure?!"

"Yes! Let me try and help you!"

"I got this! I just have to hit it right between the eyes!" Aubrey said, throwing her boa staff which hit the monster between the eyes, releasing her. She climbed up to where Leah was and started looking for the monster's gills to control it.

"I have it by the gills!" Aubrey stuck her hand inside the gills, earning gagging from Leah.

"Gross!"

"Are you serious, Leah?!"

"A little bit!"

Aubrey tried controlling the chimera using her powers but that ended up dumping them into the lake. They quickly came back up for air and the chimera almost hit a few trees, trying to get Aubrey and Leah off its back.

"Aubrey! Are you doing okay?!"

"I'm fine.. wait, Phillip and Uncle Casey hit this thing on the head, it lost its balance!"

"Worth a try!" Leah moved closer to Aubrey, the both of them hit the chimera on the side of it's head with their feet. This made the Chimera spiral downwards and plug the hole in the geyser.

"It plugged the hole! That's good, right?"

"No, the pressure needs to get released somehow! If this won't erupt, the entire mountain will explode!"

"Team!" Leah moved the wing out of the way, letting them use the chimera to climb out. "Come on!"

Casey and Coral started to help the others climb out of the geyser and soon everyone else was out but the mountain started shaking.

"Go on, miss bougie!"

Coral rolled her eyes then climbed onto his back, "Don't get any ideas, Human."

"I won't, I won't, besides, you aren't my type"

"Really? I thought you slept with anything that had a chest and long legs!"

"Well, I haven't slept with anybody since high school so.."

"Oh please, men are all the same. Look at Leonardo." Coral mumbled as she climbed out.

"What is that supposed to mean"

"You know what I mean, Leo flashed his fancy skills at Novo and look what happened."

"And? I don't have any fancy skills or anything to show off, why don't you relax!"

"Casey, come on!" Nightshade separated the two, "You know how much that night bugs her"

"Like she won't shut up about it, what am I supposed to say, "they made their choices and look what happened! Why don't you relax for a bit and try to pretend that it never happened!" That's probably the worst thing to say!"

"She's grieving-!"

"She's not grieving anymore. She's holding onto the memories that faded years ago!"

Back at the Farmhouse

Coral stood on the balcony, staring at the forest then Casey and Nightshade walked beside her.

"What do you two want"

"Can't we just check on you? You've been quiet ever since we came home"

"I'm fine."

"Oh really? You've always been a bad liar, Bougie"

"And you've never been able to keep that thing in your pants, Human."

"Hey! I'm getting better, now what's wrong"

"I said, it's nothing!"

"And I'm saying, your a terrible liar"

"Coral... When was the last time someone asked if you were okay? Because whenever we try you shut down"

".. it's been some time since anyone asked and I'm okay, I am"

"Yeah, because what happened at the mountain is normal for you"

"It's just... I feel responsible, I was supposed to protect her, lay my life for her, I had a plan for everything except... She fell in love, it ruined my plan to keep her safe because all she wanted to do was fight alongside him..."

"Yeah, love can make you a little coo-coo! I mean, look at Donnie"

"True.. but I'm okay"

"Coral, we know what it was like after those nights... I had to help raise Ray and help Raph get a job at a gym! We all lived in a small apartment"

"I went to help Mikey and that was fun"

"Yes but you weren't made for-!"

"First of all, no one owns you. Get that stupid sh** out of your head!" Casey said, "And second of all, Novo made her choice and she knew what the consequences were"

"Bu-!"

"Coral! Do you really not hear us?! Novo made her choice to fall in love, marry Leo and have Leah! She knew what would happen and you need to stop acting like a complete b***h when everything happened out of your control!"

"Because when Leah grows up, she's going to resent you for how you've been acting! Towards her dad, her uncles! She's not blind, she can see the way you treat them. The way you treat us...We've always ignored it because we wanted to let you grieve"

"But it has been 15 years. There will be a few days for you to actually grieve but you need to find some way to move on, instead of taking it out on all of us"

"It's hard... I'm sorry for how I've been acting, I've been acting like a despicable monster"

"It's fine, just.. find a healthy way to cope"

"I will, we should probably get inside"

"Yeah, come on"

"Angie?"

"Hmm?" Angelina turned around, holding a plate.

"Want me to help you with the dishes?"

"Of course, come on Phillip" Angelina smiled as Phillip stood behind her, washing the dishes.

".. can I ask you a personal question?"

"Sure, what is it?"

".. What were your parents like?"

"My mother... was absent and my father was... physically abusive, he saw me as his masterpiece instead of daughter."

".. oh"

"The scar on my back is from one of his training sessions but I miss them"

"Really?"

"Yes, they were my parents"

"That's fair.. I'm sorry for asking"

"It's fine, I have moved passed it"

".. okay" he sighed and kissed her cheek. "I love you"

Angelina smiled softly and rubbed his cheek, "I love you too"

"Aww! You two are cute!"

"AUBREY! SERAFINA!!" Angelina and Phillip turned bright red as Aubrey and Sera stood in the doorway.

"It's true!!"

"OUT!"

Aubrey and Sera giggled to themselves as they ran away, leaving the embarrassed couple.
