The morning after their Spring Fling was tame for some but chaotic for others

Light was sleeping in her bed peacefully, knowing that Hayden was asleep next to her. Until she felt a little bit of movement and stirred a bit.

"Hmm..?"

"Mmm.. good morning honey.."

"Who's honey?"

"You silly.. I love you.." he said, still half asleep and subconsciously laid his head on her chest.

Light smiled softly, and rubbed his head as he snuggled into her chest.

"Careful, I'm told I bite when threatened" She teased.

"Aww.. okay" he said, stirring and looking up at her. "O-Oh, um.. did you want me to go?"

"No, this... this feels nice" She smiled, showing off two tiny snake fangs.

"Oh.. okay" he smiled back and kissed her cheek.

Light smiled and ran her fingers through his hair, the two of them continued cuddling until they heard the door knob jiggle.

"Hmm?"

Solaris knocked on the door, "Light, it's time for breakfast"

"Um.. coming!"

Hayden fell out of the bed, trying to get himself ready but Solaris accidentally opened the door and saw the two of them, mid-dress.

"Um.. good morning?"

Solaris looked at Light then back at Hayden, he growled as his fox ears and tail perked up, his claws came out and tow giant wings appeared from behind him.

"Who. Dares. Defile. My... Daughter?!"

"Dad, calm down! We didn't-!"

Solaris showed his sharp teeth and began chasing Hayden all around the lair.

"The f**k is happening..?" Karai mumbled, opening the door and she saw her husband chasing her daughter's date.

"DAD! STOP!" Light tried pulling on her dad's wings to get him to stop.

"Light, Honey, what is happening?!" Karai shouted, throwing on some slippers and chasing after them.

"Dad saw Hayden in my room and he just went full crazy again!"

"This little boy defiled our daughter so I'm gonna give him a vasectomy!"

"We didn't do anything!" Both teens shouted.

"Honey, let them explain themselves!"

"No way!" He growled and started cornering him.

"Honey, stop!"

Solaris pulled up his claw and he looked like he was going to strike down but he put his hand close to his head.

"What's going on..?" they heard a voice of a sleepy tiny child walk over to them.

"GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM!!" The three of them yelled.

"But.. why's there someone in my bed?"

"What."

"What... Do you mean."

"I woke up and I saw someone's head next to mine.. Why does my head hurt?"

"I swear..."

"Can you show us."

"Yeah! Come here" She said, walking back to her room and points at her bed. Sure enough, Light wasn't the only one who brought home a guest. There was another body in the bed and from what they could tell, they couldn't see any clothes on them.

"Oh hell no." Light growled as her skin turned into scales, her arms turned into snakes much like Karai's, her eyes were more fox-like but her fangs became sharper.

Karai ripped the blanket off them and... It was a boy who was wearing his pants, his shirt was off and it had his vomit all over it.

"Wake up!!" Both Karai and Light shouted at the boy.

"Dah!!" The boy fell out of the bed and fell on his face. He was soon picked up by Light as she attempted to strangle him.

It wasn't quiet after that, but throughout the day it was hard to even look at Leah, especially Leo... He didn't even see how quickly his daughter fell in love in a span of months. But then again... It only took him about a day to fall in love with her mother.

"You two should talk at some point, about what happened"

"What do you want me to say? I'm sorry that your boyfriend is now captured by the woman who killed your mother and raised him?"

"You know what I mean.. Yeah, talking to her about something like this will be difficult but.. just make sure it comes from the heart"

"You have a point" Leo inhaled deeply and started walking over to Leah, who was training to clear her thoughts.

"Hey Lele"

"Father."

"Do you wanna take a break?"

"No. I just wanna train."

"It's a Saturday, I said no training on Saturday's"

Leah ignored him and she was practicing an old move that he used to do.

"... What am I."

"Huh?"

"I'm clearly not human. I'm not just half-turtle, so what am I?"

".. you're half turtle and half siren"

"A siren?" She was confused and shocked.

"Yeah.. that was your mom's mutation.. Hold on"

Leah waited as Leo pulled out a medium wooden box, with ocean carvings on it but at the front of it was a royal seal.

"I was waiting for a much better time to give you this but.. I think you deserve to look through it now"

Leah froze then opened the box, inside was a crown that had royal blue jewels surrounding it, a bracelet that matches the one Coral wears but blue, and a photo.

She picked up the photo then gasped, it was a picture of Leo and Novo, holding a baby Leah in the park.

She finally got to see her mother, she had long blue hair, big royal blue eyes, her skin was pale but it had blue scales around her eyes and neck, her ears were round but they were webbed at the edge.

"See?"

"Is this why Metal said I caused her death... Is that why Andrew calls me princess? Does anyone even know?"

"No, nobody except Coral knows.. and that's not why Metal says you caused her death and it may be why Andrew calls you princess"

"Can I hear her story... How did you meet each other? And... Fell in love?"

Leo froze then nodded, "Get the others... It's best if I tell them too"

Leah nodded and walked away, giving Leo a moment to stare at the picture and look at her mother.

"I miss you.."

Leo leaned close to the photo and gently kissed it, his mask started getting wet which made him realize he was crying. It's been so long since he cried for her.

"Dad?"

"H-Huh?" He turned around and saw everyone staring at him, concerned.

"Leo... Are you okay?" Mikey asked, Nightshade right behind him.

"I-I'm fine, sit down please"

Everyone sat down but his brothers stood up, worried for their older brother.

"We all know Leah's mother, Novo... I brought her home one day after patrol and she was bleeding, she had bruises on her and Coral was following after me, That's the story I told you"

"H-Huh?"

"But it was a lie, we met months before that day... It was just a normal patrol, We all went separately... I heard noise close to the harbor and when I followed it, I saw... Coral and Novo, climbing out of the water" He inhaled deeply.

"I immediately hid from but Novo always saw me even if I blended with the shadows, guess it comes with the territory of her being a siren... She could see in the dark but as I was saying, she grabbed me and shoved me into the light. I thought she would run but she didn't, that is when I fell in love with her... You could say it was love at first sight"

"More like love at first shove"

"Oh hush"

"I can tell she wasn't human, she was still slightly wet from when she got out of the water, she had beautiful blue scales and gills on the side of her neck, as well her ears were webbed... When she dried off that's what made her look exactly like a human, she leaned close to me and starts squishing my cheeks, asking what am I and who am I"

"She squished your cheeks, why?"

"In siren culture, when discovering a new creature. They squish their cheeks in order to see if it's a real creature or a fake" Coral explained, as she looked down.

"Oh, continue"

"I explained to her that I was Leonardo, she gasped and she knew who I was... She was so interested in human life that spied on humans from the harbor and do you guys remember... when we stopped the Newtrailzer from destroying the city at the harbor?"

"Yeah.. why?"

"That is when she saw me for the first time, she saw me as the secret protector of the city.. She saw me as a hero, a knight as you can say... I asked if she needed shelter, Coral being Coral tried to stop her from trusting me but she was always stubborn so she said yes, I took them to an abandoned warehouse... After that night, I visited them every night"

"Aww! Then what?"

"Something incredible, something strange... She fell in love with me over a span of months while I was in love with her from day one... I took her to lovers peak, that is when she saw her first sunset and on that same day, we confessed to each other and it was perfect until the guards came.."

"Guards? Why?"

"I know it's a lot to take in but Novo was royalty, a princess soon to be queen when she got married... She left her kingdom because they were going to force her to marry someone she didn't even know. We fought them off, her older sister was there leading the guards, she fought her and when Novo won the fight, she gave her a necklace, saying that she gave her a good fight and she won't be coming home... After they left, I noticed that she had blood dripping from her side and that is when I brought her to the lair"

"Wow"

Leo looked at Leah, "That's why every time I saw Andrew, I couldn't accept it not just because of his parents but also... He acts so much like your mother, he's stubborn, strong, fierce, unpredictable"

"Oh.."

"It's a lot to take in, I don't blame you for being shocked or weirded out! After I met Novo, I realized there are more creatures out there besides strange aliens and wild mutants, so I'll give you all a minu-"

"THAT WAS THE MOST ROMANTIC STORY I'VE EVER HEARD!!!" Sera was balling in tears.

"Aww, Sera"

Ray sniffled a little bit and wiped her tears, making it noticeable to everyone.

"Ray? Are you crying too?"

"NO! S-Shut up! There's a lot of dust in here!"

"Sure, dust"

Leo chuckled at them, but then he noticed how Coral looked away from the team... It still hurt her, talking about her fallen friend.

"Coral?" Leo looked at her, she looked back at him with tears in her eyes.

"I just... Miss her, Leonardo" She sniffled gently as Leo hugged her.

"I miss her too"
