Everyone was so happy and full of joy but far, far away in Tokyo, Japan. There sitting on her throne was the foot clan master, raising her daughter.

Karai sat on her throne as her ninjas talked to her in Japanese, talking about their latest mission.

"Glad everything went well." She responded and continued to listen as the conversation droned on. Until, it got interesting.

"Mother" Light stepped into the room "You wish to see me?"

"Yes, I did, and I mean alone." The moment she said that, all the other ninjas disappeared from their sight.

"Is this about me getting the throne? I swear I can be a good leader! I will destroy anyone who tries to destroy our empire!" Karai chuckled and shook her head.

"You sound like me when I was younger. But, I need to see it myself."

"See what?" Light looked at her mother, she was confused.

"I need you to start showing me you can lead. You've been doing a lot of small stuff, so I wanna trust you with-!" Karai started to explain but was interrupted. But not by her daughter.

One of the ninjas ran into the room, out of breath, holding a letter.

"MASTER KARAI!"He yelled, not without irritating the serpent master.

"What is it? We were busy."

"Apologies Master" The ninja bowed at her feet. "But this cannot wait, I have a message from Hamato Leonardo" She froze for a moment.

"Hamato Leonardo? Who's that?" Light looked at her mother in confusion. Karai slowly got up from her throne and walked up to the ninja.

"What does the message say?"

The ninja opened the envelope and started to read the letter.

Dear Karai,

Hi big sis, it's been way too long, hasn't it? Me and our brothers miss you. So me, your niece Leah, and my friend Coral are having a huge barbecue! As a fun way to get us back together. We're hoping if you and.. if you had any kids, could come! It's on the 15th in Central Park, we miss you.

Can't wait,

Solaris, Karai's husband walked into the room. "Love, are you alright?" Karai quickly regained her composure and inhaled deeply.

"Leo's my brother, Light.. I have four younger, dumbass brothers.. and they want to see me again." Unfortunately, her composure was short lived.

"I believe we should go, we haven't seen them in 15 years"

"You have brothers?" At this point, Karai started to breathe heavier and started to have a panic attack. She hasn't had one in so long, they almost didn't even realize it.

"Karai!!"

"Mom!!" She tried to remember the calming techniques she was taught from her therapist. Again, that was short lived until she felt two pairs of arms hug her.

"Shh, we're here" Solaris began to calm her down, with a lullaby. She slowly calmed down and cuddled into his chest.

"Mother, we don't have to go but it would be nice to see my cousins"

Karai thought about it, the last time they all saw each other... wasn't very pleasant. But deep down she knew that Leo wouldn't reach out to her now if this wasn't important to him.

"Love, we don't have to if you don't want to." Solaris brushed her hair using his fingers, calming her down.

Karai shook her head and stood up, proudly. "No more hiding, I will go to America and see my dumbass brothers again"

Light smiled as she was full of joy but her father, Solaris' worries grew larger.
