Back at the lair

Donnie was groaning in pain, his head was aching.

"Oh no.." He got up and walked over to Mikey.

"What's wrong?"

"I need to sleep, so you're in charge til Leo and Raph come back" He rubbed his head

"You sure?"

"Yeah..." Donnie slowly walked into his room and passed out on his bed.

Sera groaned as she struggled with her homework.

"Pop-Sicle! I wanna be as smart as uncle Donnie! He can always figure this out!" She whined as she face planted the table.

"Aww, you need help with your homework?"

"Yeah... How did Uncle Donnie get so smart?"

"I don't know! But since he moved here, I've seen him drink this orange stuff with his coffee! Maybe that's what he uses to be so smart!" Mikey showed her a picture of the orange liquid.

"This liquid?"

"Yeah, maybe it's an energy drink or something"

"I'll get it out of his room!" She shouted.

"Sera, I wouldn't drink it!" Aubrey exclaimed.

"Why?"

"Papa, drinks it for a reason!"

"I gotta agree with Nerdette, we shouldn't mess with his stuff"

"But I wanna be smart!"

"If you want to be smart then study with me!"

"Or! You could just ask us to help you!" Leah exclaimed.

"No way! That's boring! I'll do it the easy way!" She smiled and opened his bedroom door.

She looked at Donnie who was sleeping in his bed, then crawled over to the dresser and pulled out a round bottle that had an orange glowy liquid in it.

"Sera, put it back!"

"No way!"

Aubrey grabbed the bottle but Sera pulled it back.

"Just let me drink some of it!"

"No! We shouldn't touch it! You're going to break-"

Sera dropped the bottle and it broke into a million pieces.

"Sera!!"

"Oops, my bad!"

"We tried to warn you, Dunce Face!"

"I can fix it!"

"Sera, he had it for a reason!"

"What is going on here?!" Leo shouted.

"Um.."

"Uncle Leo, Sera took a bottle out of Uncle D's room and broke it!" Ray shouted.

"Sera, why did you have it?!"

"I wanted to be smart!"

"That's not why he has it! And it doesn't make him smart!"

"I don't even know why he has it," Aubrey explained.

"We don't know why he has it, just know, it doesn't make him smart"

"Oh"

"Now, you broke it! What if it was something that Aubrey's mom made?!" Leah asked.

"Then why would he drink it!"

They all continued to bicker as the power went out.

"Uh oh"

"Great, we should probably go check the power supply"

"Sera, come with me, so you don't break something else"

"Okay!"

"We should probably check on Donnie, make sure he's alive," Raph said.

"Let me go with you"

"Alright, come on"

Leo walked over to the fuse box with Sera and Mikey and tried to turn it back on.

"Damn it"

"Um... Uncle Leo, are these... claw marks on the wall?" Sera pointed at claw marks that started out small but got bigger, cutting a cord that turns on the lights.

"I don't know?"

"Oh yeah.. how did you and Raph apologize to Remus?"

"Mikey, we really should focus on-" Something ran behind them, it was large, spikey, and it was terrifying.

"What the?!"

They turned around and saw a giant, terrifying... beast. It's eyes were blacked out and it looked like a giant turtle except for its spikes and giant claws.

The three of them, froze in fear then screamed bloody murder as Sera and Mikey jumped onto of Leo.

"What the hell is that?!"

"RUN!!!"

"Nerdette?"

Aubrey was in the doorway, leading into Donnie's room.

"He's gone" She spoke, her voice was full of fear.

"But he left and came in here"

"No one saw him leave! This doesn't make any sense" Raph said, poking his head into the room.

It was completely destroyed, claw marks all over the walls, the bed split in half, and his desks were destroyed.

"The hell happened here?"

"Papa? Are you still he-" They all heard Mikey, Leo, and Sera scream bloody murder as they ran over to them.

"Are you dorks okay?!"

"There's a monster here!!" Sera screamed and jumped on Ray's back.

"Dunce face, get off!"

"Sera, calm down! What happened?" Leah asked, prying her off of Ray.

"We don't know! We just saw claw marks and then when we turned around, we saw some kinda monster!"

"There are no monsters here!" Ray yelled.

"Then explain those!!"

"Probably some rats or something," Raph said.

"But they're huge!"

"Can we stop this?! Papa is missing!"

"But he just went to sleep!"

"That's what doesn't make sense!"

"Well, where could he have g.." Leo said then realization hits him. "Oh no.."

"What is it?" The group turned and looked at him.

"Um.. I think that monster we saw.. is Donnie"

"WHAT?!" The group screamed, then a giant roar came from behind Leo.

"Um.." he said, then turned around and saw monster Donnie. "Oh god"

He roars at the team then pulls up his claw, he was about to strike down on Leo when Aubrey pushed him out of the way.

"Papa, enough!" Aubrey stood in front of him as Monster Donnie sniffed her face.

This then caused Monster Donnie to pick her up and put her on his shell.

"Ep!" She grabbed onto his shell.

"What the... hell is he doing?!" Ray shouted, this caused Donnie to growl at her.

"Ray, don't! That will only make him more mad!"

"Raydiant, it's okay! His protective instincts are kicking in, he sees me as his... hatchling" Aubrey said nervously.

"And?!"

"Which means I'm probably the only one that can calm him down!" She shouted as Donnie walked into the middle of the living room and laid down.

"Well.. he's not doing anything dangerous.. Right?"

"The best thing to do is let him protect Aubrey, it's the only way to calm him down" Leah explained, she put down her tanto.

"I agree.. Hey Lele?" Leo said, trying to talk to his stubborn child.

Leah turned away from him, bluntly ignoring her pushy father.

"I apologized to your best friend, alright"

"Hm." She looked through Donnie's room, looking for any explanations about his transformation. "Then why didn't he come back with you and Uncle Raphael?"

"We kinda helped him meet up with his crush."

"Okay. What do you want? A medal?"

"I prefer a hug and you forgive me?"

"Forgive you. Yeah, after you humiliated me in front of my team. Asking if me and Andrew spent the night together."

"Look, I'm sorry, alright. What did you want me to say? I'm happy you're dating?"

"I want someone to trust me. Did I make a mistake? Yes, Did I learn from it? Yes... Stop reminding me about him, please"

"Alright, but the next time you have men problems, do not ask me or your uncles"

"Duly noted-"

Aubrey squealed as Donnie pulled her back with his tail, as she made a failed attempt to escape.

"Papa, as much as I care about you... Please let me go! Your tail is crushing me!"

"Now do we intervene?"

"I'll let you be the judge of that"

"Wha.. are you sure"

"You said you want someone to trust you, I'm trusting you"

"Okay, Ray! You go into his room, and find more of that bottle and take Sera with you, I'll stay with Aubrey until you find it"

"Finally, some action!"

Aubrey looked at him then she had an idea, "Leah, can you come here?"

"Sure?" She said and walked over to her. "What is it?"

"His eyes are all back, which means he's sensitive to sunlight! Use Ray's flames to blind him so that I can put the liquid in his mouth, But you will need a distraction"

"Alright, um.."

Aubrey looked at their father's then back at her, she smiled.

"What are you getting at?"

"Use Serafina and them as a distraction"

"Got it!"

"Hurry!" Donnie pulled her close, and began growling at Leah.

"Hey Dad.. who's the better fighter? You or Uncle Raph?"

"Clearly Me, Princess" Raph said.

"No, you aren't, hothead."

"Uncle Mikey, who do you think is a better fighter?"

"Clearly it's Raph!"

"Mikey." Leo snarled.

"What? He is better! And less stuck up!"

"I'm not stuck up!"

"Yes, you are!"

"When have I ever acted stuck up?!"

"Dude, you have your own personal assistant"

"So?!"

"That's a sign that you're stuck up!"

"No, it's not!"

"Ha! Even Mikey says you've got a foot up your own a$$!"

"Raph, I didn't say that exactly-" The three of them heard a giant roar behind them.

"Ep!"

Donnie stood behind them, looking down at them with an angry expression on his face as they disturbed his nap.

"Um.. hi?" Mikey said.

Donnie growled loudly, making all three brothers scream in fear and run away from him. Thus making Donnie chase after them.

"Wait!! Donnie, stop it!! It's us!! We're your brothers!!" The three of them yelled.

Donnie didn't care and continued chasing them. He chased them into a corner and was about to strike them when Ray jumped in and created flames out of her hands. Making Donnie hiss and cover his eyes from the brightness of her flames.

Sera jumped on his shell and wrapped her nun chucks around his neck to get him to fall down.

"Now Aubrey!"

Before Aubrey can get the bottle, Donnie broke out of one of the chains.

"No!" She put her hand out and it started glowing, making Donnie fall onto his belly with everyone holding him down.

"Whoa"

"Open his mouth! Now!"

"On it!"

Raph and Ray pried his mouth open, avoiding all the fangs as Aubrey poured the orange, glowy liquid into his mouth.

"This better work"

Donnie groaned as his eyes changed back to normal, then he slowly passed out.

"Let's get him to the couch, someone grab a straw!"

"Got it!"

Donnie woke up a few hours later, with a straw shoved into his mouth as he was drinking the liquid.

"Ugh.. wha happened..?"

"Donnie! You're alive!" Mikey hugged him tightly.

"Ack! Mikey!"

"We thought you were dead!" Raph said, handing him some water.

"Why did you all think that?"

"Huh, let's see you turned into a giant monster, nearly killed us, and nearly smothered Aubrey to death" Leo explained.

"I.. what?"

"Uncle D!!" Sera ran towards him, "I'm sorry for taking your drink!!" she looked up at him.

"I'll deal with you later, Serafina. Now, where's Aubr-" Sera turned his head to Aubrey, who was in the corner, making everything float, he could see sparkles in her eyes.

"When did that happen?"

"When she pour that drink in your mouth, you would've hurt yourself"

"I see, can everyone come here, please?" He shouted and took a deep breath.

"What's wrong?"

"I haven't been completely honest with you all, since I came here"

"What are you talking about Nerd?"

"What's wrong Donnie?"

Donnie looked up at the group and finally spoke.

"When me and Shady first got engaged, I was cursed... I don't know who or why they did it but I've lived with it for years..."

".. that long?"

"Yeah, the liquid is called an elixir, it doesn't destroy the curse! It just... makes it more manageable, and as long as NO ONE takes my elixir, I can control it but I have to drink it everyday" He explained.

Everyone then gave Sera and Mikey a look.

"We get it!"

"Papa, why didn't you tell me? I could've helped-"

"Sweetie, I've spent half of my career trying to cure it, nothing has worked and I think you all can guess why everyone calls me 'The Warlock'" He chuckled and ruffled her hair.

"Wow"

"I'm fine, okay? I just need rest"

"Done deal, let's go"
