Meanwhile: With Aubrey and Donnie

Aubrey-Rose was sitting on her bed, as her dad paced back and forth in front of her. He was also mumbling to himself for the past 10 minutes.

"Papa? You only mumble to yourself when something is wrong! The last time you did, it was when that boy came to our house" He stopped mumbling and looked up at her.

"Yeah.. that wasn't fun but.. I-I I've been trying to figure out how t-to.. tell you about your mom.."

"Mama? But all you've ever told me was that she loved us so much, I assumed she left us for someone else-!" That unleashed something in Donnie, he hated when anyone assumed anything about her.

"She didn't leave us for someone else, Aubrey!!" He snapped and covered his mouth in both shock and fear.

Aubrey gasped and her ears went down in fear "I-I'm sorry..."

"N-No.. I'm sorry I snapped at you.. I just.. didn't like it when you assumed she.. left us for someone else."

"You never told me about her, so I didn't know what to think... You've hid all the pictures of her in your office"

".. she was a witch but she had a.. soft and special spot for me because I was this nerd who didn't exactly make many friends.."

Aubrey was confused back when they used to travel, he had so many friends, many people were interested in him.

"But, you had a lot of friends! I don't understand"

"I'm talking about.. you wanna know why we traveled so much?"

She nodded, noticing how he gets all flustered just by thinking about her.

"W-Well.. your mom and I were gonna get married.. when you were born, we were so happy and everything was perfect.."

"Then what happened?"

"Then.. this lady came.. she.. she banished her.. and killed your other aunts and hid Sera's mom, Lovey.. in a crystal.. that we couldn't find.."

"Then why did we leave? Why didn't you do everything to find her?"

"We did.. and we didn't know how.. and I.. I was.. I got afraid that.. she w-would come back and.. and.." at this point, he started to freeze up and tears were in his eyes.

Aubrey hugged him and she started crying.

"Did she banish her... because of me?"

Donnie looked at her, it broke his heart knowing that his daughter grew up without a mother but beyond that his heart started to heal because she's so much like her. He hugged back and started to calm her down.

"I'm not sure why she banished her.. but I do know you weren't the reason why she was banished."

"I was born around the same time! It had to be me, I mean... Mama probably fought as hard she could to protect me..."

"She did.. but I don't know what the real reason was.. all I know is that it had nothing to do with you Aubrey, okay?"

Aubrey looked at him and nodded gently, "Can I see a picture of her?"

".. sure, hold on" he walked away for a few minutes and came back with a picture of him and Shady, while she was pregnant with Aubrey.

Donnie stared at the picture gently rubbing the half where Shady was, he was thinking about how beautiful she looked pregnant like a goddess. Then he looked at Aubrey, she was just as beautiful, his little princess.

"Look, this is your mom Aubrey" he smiled and showed her the picture.

Aubrey looked at the picture and gasped, she finally saw her mother who looked exactly like her. She was tearing up and shaking.

"M-Mama, this is mama? She looks so pretty"

"Yeah, she's beautiful.." he said and smiled.

Aubrey hugged Donnie and smiled, she felt something, something that grew stronger... compassion.
