Meanwhile: With Leah and Leo

"Dad, you're acting weird, is it because Captain Ryan got out? I'm sorry! It won't happen again-' Leo cut her off.

"It's not about Captain Ryan getting out.. it's more so time I told you the truth about what happened to your mother.." he started

"Mother? I... don't understand... You told me you never wanted to talk about it..." Leah looked confused which only made this harder for Leo to explain.

"I know I said that.. but I got scared to talk about her to you.. but I have to tell you the truth.."

"The truth? What do you mean?" Leah took a step back as Leo finally opened his mouth.

"The truth is... it's my fault that your mother isn't here... My mistakes led her to her death" he started.

Leah gasped, "What do you mean?"

"When.. me, your uncles and aunts were younger and you and your cousins were either babies or on the way.." he paused, trying to stop himself from getting scared and throwing up. "This woman came.. and she killed our father.. killed Novo and Haley, that's Ray's mom.. banished Shady, Aubrey's mom and put Lovey, Sera's mom.. into a crystal and we couldn't find it.."

"No..."

"All of us just.. we noticed too late and.. we're paying for it by just thinking what we could've done better"

"Did she suffer?"

".. she got away.. and we couldn't find her so.."

"You keep saying you're mistakes... what did you do?"

".. we couldn't do anything, all of us froze.. we couldn't move and.."

"The blow that was meant for you? Struck her instead?" He paused for a moment but nodded.

Leah looked down "So mom died protecting you, you once told me dying protecting your loved ones is the most respectful way" He stayed quiet, unsure if Leah was angry at him or just upset.

Leah hugged him and smiles "I'm glad you told me"

He hugged back and chuckled, "Hey, it's either I finally tell you or your aunt Karai tells you and I preferred the first one."

"She seems aggressive with these things," Leah smiled.

"Well.. yeah, you aren't wrong." He smiled and notifications on his phone went off.

Leah pulled away and let him answer his phone, she felt something strange, something new, not rage but... Hope.
