[Part 1: Alive]

Under the storming clouds Hange and Moblit look down mortified at the mutilated body of one Levi Ackerman. Nearby several of the Jaegerists stand around a Titan laying in the mud, Petra's Titan.

"Captain Levi?" Floch mutters. "No idea what happened, but lucky us. Our biggest threat is a bloody mess."

"I'll put a hole in his head." A Jaegerist says approaching.

Hange lowers her head, hiding her face from Floch and his followers. "He's dead. A thunder spear blew up in his face... the blast shredded his insides, killing him instantly."

"Let me see him-!" Floch orders.

"Uh... whats going on with that Titan?" Moblit asks. Copious amounts of steam rush into the Petra Titan but also eject through the nape from the Titan sucking in more steam then it stops, as a single body emerges from it, after falling out of the body they stand before everyone as he exits the body of the Titan, Zeke Jaeger. As everyone watches, Hange and Moblit take the moment use the moment to jump into the river nearby with Levi's body. Zeke stands, watching without emotion, Floch stunned but not speechless speaks with Zeke.

"Zeke, what happened to you?"

"I don't know." He says openly, internally his mind flashes to what he saw. 'I see... We're those the paths...?'

"Zeke, you turned the 30 scouts that were watching you into titans, right? Where are they?" Floch asks.

"Well, they're all gone. Now there's nobody here that'll get in our way. Let's go."

He steps forward, thinking of his brother as the scouts with him all get on their horses and offer a seat to Zeke to head towards Shinganshina. Minutes later, a horse trots to the location, a single soldier aboard the horse. Mina.

"Damn... no sign of Levi or Petra's squads, nor their bodies... were they eaten?" Mina mutters to herself. !No, cause all of the titans are dead... killed by Zeke perhaps?" She grumbles looking at the remains of the Titan corpse and sighs as from within it falls out a cape and inside the cape a memento from Petra, a singular glove. "Damn it. How am I gonna break this to him? Mina mutters. She steadies her horse and then turns away from Shinganshina, and towards Stohess.

[Part 2: War. What is it good for?]

Meanwhile in Shinganshina, Eren transforms atop his first Titan's body, meanwhile Marcel nods to the scout handing her the binoculars as he uses his ODM gear to head towards where he's supposed to meet with Pieck and his spy network soldiers. Despite Eren being asked to retreat by Yelena he chooses to fight. And in front of Eren, Reiner transforms. Marco however launches dozens of bits of Titan hardening wiping out soldiers from Eldia while also trying to attack Eren as Reiner & Porco fight Eren. Marcel lands directly next to the commander of Marleyan forces, Maggath.

"You've got a lot of nerve showing your face again, Moblit, or should I say, Marcel Smith." Maggath says a silver M pendant on his uniform.

"I apologize for any hostilities I may have caused you Commander- no, General Maggath." Marcel says extending a hand. "But, I want this alliance to work, if we agree to have each other's backs moving forward, then you agree you won't seek retribution on anyone but the Jaeger brothers and their supporters."

Maggath hums. "While I don't like it, it puts the Warhammer back on my side."

"His name is Marco Bodt, he's my right hand." Marcel says lowering his hand from the UN accepted handshake. "We agreed that I'd get to shoot this bad toy." Marcel turns and looks to Pieck in Titan form. "Pieck, how are you?"

Pieck extracts her main body out of the Titan and speaks. "Had me scared you'd be a no show."

"I didn't expect the attack this early, I figured it'd be another month at the earliest."

Maggath hums. "You can blame Reiner for it being this early."

"Oh, I'm not gonna blame him, I wanna thank him. It's because of this little fight, that I may be able to save the lives of my squad." Marcel says.

From Pieck's mouth fell Gabi, who is embraced by Maggath, as Marcel looks down at her and sighs before patting her head as she looks to him in confusion.

"Gabi!" Colt shouts running forward from Maggath's position.

"Ah, Colt!" Marcel smiles.

"Moblit!" Colt salutes Marcel.

"Marcel, actually..

Colt stops saluting. "R-right. It's a pleasure to work with you again, even if you were an enemy originally."

"I'm doing what needs to be done for my family. If that means siding with Marley to defeat the brothers Jaeger then I will. As long as my squad, and family are safe." Marcel says turning to climb aboard.

"Where's Falco?" Colt asks.

"He's still in that building over there." Gabi says pointing at the Shinganshina Scout HQ. "He's being held since Zeke's spinal fluid got in his mouth."

"Seriously?" Colt asks.

Marcel hums. "Zeke tainted the wine brought here with his Spinal fluid, now a large amount of the military higher ups on the island are fucked if Zeke ever arrives."

"He's being detained along with around 300 soldiers who drank it. There are around 500 other soldiers in the area, but Zeke's nowhere in sight." Pieck informs Maggath.

"If things went accordingly he won't arrive cause Levi & Petra will have killed him, if he escaped, then he'll be here any minute now with Floch." Marcel says getting fully into the weapon.

"Reiner's fears are what brought us here. Can the enemy use the founding Titan?" Maggath asks.

Marcel looks down. "Not without Zeke or another person with royal blood here." This causes Maggath, a Colt, and Gabi to look at Marcel confused. "Their father, Grisha Jaeger married a woman named Dina Fritz, she had royal blood. Ergo, Zeke has royal blood being their kid. If Zeke gets here, he and Eren need to make contact in order for Eren to use the founder." Marcel explains. "We can't under any circumstances let them make contact."

Marcel climbs aboard the weapon mounted on Pieck's back, with Maggath and several others with the M pins on their uniforms surrounding them, some with ODM gear some with just rifles. Eren after being cornered by three shifters uses some of his Warhammer abilities to keep Reiner & Porco at bay, Marco however is far more dangerous as he repeatedly launches arrows of hardening at him using a crossbow. As several of the Jaegerists rush towards the pair a shot rings out blasting into the attack Titan's head, while also having enough of a shockwave to launch the Jaegerists in wild directions.

"Woohoo!" Marcel cheers now wearing a pair of goggles like Hange used to. "Headshot baby! Alright, next round!" Marcel orders. "Let's aim for his nape this time, ya got that ya beauty of a Titan?"

Pieck huffs in Titan form. "Loud and clear."

Porco goes to try and attack again as the airships lay down covering fire, but as Eren blocks he takes one of Marco's arrows to the knee before a second shot from Marcel hits him in the eye because of it.

Marcel groans in feigned annoyance. "So close. Let the walls and buildings of Shinganshina be your resting place, and let it run red with your blood, you fucking traitors!" He roars.

As Reiner tries to kill Eren, Marcel glances around for a moment before shouting for Pieck to rotate and for a defensive maneuver. Meanwhile Onyankapon stands before the cell doors keys in hand.

"Onyankapon." Jean shouts. "What's going on outside?!"

"Marley came flying on airships. Marcel & Marco have chosen to fight alongside them, they're attacking Eren. There're almost 500 soldiers, plus the armored, jaw, cart, and Warhammer titans. And Eren is fighting alone. But he's struggling. He's not gonna last. Marley will steal the founder! Help us! We've gotta protect Eren!" When he opens the door, Jean is the first one out as he punches Onyankapon follows by Connie slamming the larger man against the wall.

"Marcel wouldn't just throw us all under the carriage, he has to have a plan. Jase, let's go." Jean shouts. He and Jase rush out of the building sneaking around for a bit and stealthily kill 2 Jaegerists and steal their ODM gear, they hurry outside and rush off towards Marco, once along the wall they shoot up and land next to the scout.

[Part 3: The Final Push]

"Gina! What's going on?" Jean shouts.

"Marcel joined with Marley, he struck an agreement with the general." The female scout shouts. "Kill the Jaeger brothers, in exchange the island will not be invaded and we'll have an alliance with Marley for a hundred years. We need to kill a Eren before Zeke can arrive!"

"Where is Marcel?"

Marco in his Titan form points to Pieck and Marcel atop the Titan slaying gun as he looks ready to defend against something approaching.

Jean draws a sword. "Jase, you and I will help guard Marcel, we need to make sure that the Euthanization plan fails."

"The what?" The female asks surprised.

"It'll take too long to explain, take care of Marco while we're gone!" Jean shouts.

Reiner & Galliard continue to fight Eren, just as Reiner's about to eat Eren, he counters by dislocating Reiner's jaw before a large boulder hits him. Zeke has arrived.

Zeke speaks in titan form. "I'm a bit late, but I'm where we promised to meet. Good job holding in there, Eren." Zeke glances around the entire battlefield. "Leave the rest to your big brother."

Zeke then uses a group of stones to take out the zeppelins in the sky, he turns ready to attack Pieck when Marcel, who saw this coming blasts off his throwing arm. At that point Floch and his team arrive but, due to Marcel's defensive positioning, his team are able to kill several members of the team, though Floch continues to survive. Zeke quickly ejects from his Titan making a new one as the first falls to the ground. A moment later, Jean and Jase arrive and help with the defense.  Meanwhile Armin leads the others in preparation to fight for Eren and co. Reiner runs for Eren but is blocked by Zeke. Meanwhile at the HQ, Nile Dawk hands Falco over to his brother and Gabi, the trio now try to escape the city but, a moment later they hide from the Brauss family, where Gabi finally learns Reiner's lessons. There weren't devils on the island just other people. A bit later the three rush out looking to tell Zeke about Falco's situation. At the battle however, Zeke is throwing rocks at Galliard, after forcing Pieck to move away, and the defense squad to scatter while fighting off what remains of Floch's forces. However, Pieck had a plan, she exits her Titan, taking one of the rifles as she along with several others hide in the smoke. A moment later Floch's Squad celebrates, when he asks who dealt the killing blow, almost all of his subordinates' heads are blown off, Floch only escapes by zipping away at the last moment with two or three of his squad, Marcel turns the cannon directly at Zeke.

"This is for Captain Levi, and big sis Patty!" Marcel shouts angered.

He fires the shot blasting Zeke, barely missing his full body as he shoots through his human bodies right arm and doing damage to the actual body inside the Titan. Zeke collapses from the wall, crashing to the ground.

"Pieck! Hurry and readjust us! If he's got a shred of life left, he'll shout, then we'll all be fucked! Jase! Get a message to Marco! Focus on destroying Zeke's nape!" Marcel roars.

Jase nods as he blasts away close to the wall with members of the Jaegerists chasing after him as he makes his way. Marcel climbs down from the cannon and grabs a rifle beginning to fire at Floch's reinforcements that had since arrived, two of which being Armin & Mikasa, he and Jean fight together in an attempt to fight them off. A moment later Pieck transforms again, and now Maggath takes over, firing directly into Eren. Marcel glances down for a moment, Zeke was ready to scream but was stopped for a moment, however, before a second round could hit him, he did it. Hundreds of flashes happen around the city, one of which being Falco. A bit later as Falco is attempting to eat Reiner, they fire another shot onto Zeke. But shortly after Armin & Mikasa arrive. Marcel fights Mikasa their going head to head with their swords, as Jean defends against Floch. Marcel glances down to see Falco eat Porco Galliard. In that moment Reiner strikes Eren who uses his hardening to trap Reiner before running for Zeke in his human form. As Eren runs several Jaegerists stop Reiner, but everyone notices, Gabi shoot Eren's head clean off. His head flies through the air and lands in Zeke's hand. Everything freezes, one split second, then... a flash, the walls crumble, Marcel does what he can but has to be protected by Pieck as he hears the phrase in his head and his eyes widen in horror.

"No more Armor."

As the walls collapsed around him and Pieck saved him, only one word escaped his mouth, and the only two people to hear him, Jean, and Maggath.

"Annie!" Marcel says falling downwards his hand reaching upwards before everything goes black.

[Part 4: Rumbling]

Marcel opens his eyes to the sight of thousands colossal titans walking past himself. He along with Pieck out of her Titan form, Maggath, Jean, Marco, and Jase all sit under a sphere of Titan hardening from Marco's Warhammer.

"Commander!" Marco says sitting above Marcel.

Marcel looks upwards and takes a deep breath. "Damn it..." He whispers. "We failed." He says quietly.

"If only one of us could've grabbed his head before he made contact with Zeke." Jean mutters.

Marcel sits up. 'Okay we need a plan." All of them except Maggath stop as they suddenly are in Paths for a brief moment.

"Hear me, Subjects of Ymir." Eren Jager's voice is heard by everyone. Everyone's eyes widen as Marcel stands his leg slightly wounded, though he is able to walk, he looks around and then to a large tree like thing in the distance.

"Shit." Marcel mutters.

"My Name is Eren Jaeger. I'm using the founding Titan's power to address all Subjects of Ymir. I've undone the hardening of Paradis island's walls and the titans buried within have begun their march. My goal is to protect the people of Paradis island- the place I was born. However, the world wants to exterminate my people- and not just on the island. They will stop at nothing until every last subject of Ymir is dead. I refuse to let them. The wall titans will trample every inch of the world beyond this island until every last life beyond our shores is wiped out."

Marcel steps forward. "Eren! Stop it! Why genocide?!" Before he can shout further everyone is sent out of Paths with Marcel collapsing to his knees. Maggath looks to them all of their eyes wide with horror. Marcel seems to be the first to recover, as he looks towards the others.

"Marco, you and Jean work together, use the range finder to launch arrows into their napes. Kill as many as you can before they can leave the island. General, I need you and Pieck to protect Jase for a bit, please go and look around this location. Marcel from his uniform produces a map and points towards the forest of giant trees. "Look for the Scouts Commander, Hange Zoe, along with her, should hopefully be her right hand Moblit Berner, and if we're lucky Captains Levi and Petra.

"What about you?" Jean asks.

"I need a horse."

Jean turns to Marcel. "Huh?"

"I need to go to Stohess."

The group agree to the plan, and head off in their own directions. Marcel joins the fighting of the titans Zeke made, doing so leads him back to the HQ, as he does he meets up with Mikasa & Armin. Mikasa attempts to rush him, but he dodges and kills a Titan that tried to attack her.

"Now's not the time, you fucking safety net!" Marcel shouts at Mikasa.

She freezes for a moment before he once again rescues her and hands her to Armin as they stand atop the HQ. Marcel's orders are simple, grab thunder spears, ODM gear, gas and go to the top floor. Anyone to cowardly to fight can serve as a distraction and lead them to the HQ. Once atop the HQ he and Shardis come face to face for the first time in years.

"Its good to see you again, gramps."

Keith Shadis nods. "Yeah. It's nice to see you, Marcel."

"Alright, listen up! I'll lead the attack. Line up!" Marcel shouts.

Everyone stands shoulder to shoulder around a squat tower, some using thunder spears, others like Marcel and Mikasa, using their blades. After the first round of attacks they prepare for a second.

Armin Arlert looks down his eyes widening. "Commander Pyxis..."

"Damn it, old man... I told you to stop after father died." Marcel comments. "Armin, get the ones around Pyxis, I'll deal with the old man myself." Marcel says softly.

Mikasa Ackerman glares at Marcel. "You still haven't explained why you sided with Marley against Eren and Zeke."

"Because, I was able to strike a deal. In exchange for Paradis not being attacked for a hundred years, I'd help kill Zeke and Eren Jaeger and prevent any form of the rumbling. In doing so, we'd have a military alliance with the countries of Marley and Hizuru. But... that's out of the picture now." Armin's eyes widen in shock. "Let's go." Marcel says as he leads the group

Mikasa & Marcel rush around using their blades along with everyone else using their thunder spears, eventually all the titans are beaten. Marcel looks around from the top and notes that the fires block the escape to out of Shinganshina. He enters the HQ and stands next to Onyankapon, next to him Jean and Marco the pair having worked together to kill a few dozen of the wall titans. Marco takes deep breaths himself being exhausted by the amount of work he did that day, while Jean sits between Marcel and Onyankapon.

"The fires have settled down." Jean comments. "Marley's army was basically wiped out, and there's no more pure titans. You should go now, Marcel."

"Yeah." He jumps from the window using his ODM gear to fly towards the inner gate leaving everyone behind him as he races towards the place where the inner wall use to be. Unfortunately, Floch survived, and he arrives shortly after.

"Floch! Are you okay?!"

Floch Forster nods. "While I was nearly dying thanks to the wall, it looks like you took care of the titans, Jean, Marco." He praises the pair.

"You lived?" Jean says slightly horrified.

"Yeah. Thanks for your concern."

Marco sighs. "It wasn't concern... it was annoyance, dumbass."

"I can't kick the bucket just yet. Eldia's restoration is finally at hand."

"If I had the energy, I'd gut you right now." Marco says taking deep breaths. "If Eren gets his way... there won't be anything outside the island to restore us to."

Floch grabs a gun and holds it to Yelena's head. "Yelena, assemble the volunteers. You're being detained."

Jean's eyes widen. "What?"

Meanwhile in Stohess, Mina walks through the Trost HQ, most of the soldiers are gone, though a few remain. She quietly makes her way through the base slowly and quietly, a bit later she enters the chamber where Annie's crystal was held. Upon entry she finds her, coughing up liquid, her crystal having become liquid when the hardening was undone. She stares up at the Mina, only a single word escapes her mouth, a single thought running through her mind.

"M-Marcel..."
