THE END...... MAYBE
If only I had known sooner, I wouldn't have be digging my own grave.
Kyle's POV: I fell to the ground in devastating shock. My buddies from college were challenging me in a couple of minutes. To be honest, I was a legend bit they were gods. I got a sense of déjà vu.
Akbar and Kelvin POV: We were done with about six glasses of root beer and got out of the club. The Austin Music Fest, a couple of minutes by. Akbar turned on his phone and so did I. We marveled at our new music video. We watched the video as we walked to the Austin Music Fest. There was nothing in the air but clear skies for us.
Kyle's POV: The crowd was screaming as Bebe Rhexa made her way towards the stage to begin the Austin Music Fest. The day was going to be full of exciting stuff, so I had heard from Jackson. Bebe Rhexa called on her background dancers and she moved from one side of the stage to another dancing and giving high fives while singing "Last Hurrah". The crowd gave her an ovation after she was done singing.
The next musicians were, you wouldn't guess it. Post Malone and Swae Lee. They got out backstage and took the floor as they warmed up themselves to sing. They started off with Post Malone's 'Rockstar'. The crowd was wild. The stage lights changed colours like disco night.
I loved them so much but not in this case, I was afraid to lose. Afraid to face them. It was going to be awkward.
Akbar and Kelvin's POV: We were back at the Austin Music Fest about to go up as Post Malone and Swae Lee left the stage. A voice came from a speaker somewhere and announced us.
"Now, it's the performance everybody's been waiting for. Give it up for The Khing and the Triple A".
We moved through the crowd to the stage.
"And representing ECO Records, Kyle"
There was an awkward silence. We stood patiently awaiting Kyle. The name reminded me of a friend from college. A slim teen with blonde hair ascended the stage, on his face a nasty scar. I talked to Kelvin and he had the same suspicion. Could it be the Kyle? A long rivalry was about to come to an end. And we were bound to win.
Kyle's POV: I got onto the stage and Akbar and Kelvin were giving me confused looks. A table of judges were assembled beside the stairs of the stage. Kelvin was dressed in a white shirt with a tiger jumping through a flaming hoop. On his neck, his custom plated silver Kelvin chain. On his wrist was a gold watch. He wore designer ripped jeans and his off white shoes. His hair was dyed with his exo mask tied to one of his dreadlocks. Akbar was dressed in an alternate attire. Akbar had his exo mask on with 2 bracelets and a diamond watch on his left hand. He was also wearing a custom plated Teo chain. He wore a black shirt with red brightened letters which read "STADIUM GOODS". He was wearing a pair of pencil jeans with a red adidas shoe. I gave them a glare but they weren't intimidated. They just walked towards me.
Akbar and Kelvin's POV: We stood face to face with Kyle. It was going to be an easy win. Akbar got off the stage and got to the Dj's corner. He told me he knew the perfect song for this dance off. I knew exactly what he had planned. He was gonna select better off, Ayo and Theo's song from last year. I stood there grinning through my exo mask.
Kyle's POV: Being the victor of this battle was not going to be easy. My nightmares had come true. Fear engulfed me. A voice spoke through a speaker:
"Kyle, you're on first. So get ready, the battle will begin in 3 minutes".
Three anxious minutes later, it was time for me to dance. I saw Lizzy, Mum and Jackson giving me thumbs up's and waving from the crowd.
I was waving back at them smiling but in my head I was really scared. Music started to hit and the judges already looked entertained. I took the stage with a bunch of dance moves playing on in my mind. I moved backwards doing the benny whip which I quickly changed into a roy purdy. I did a couple of dance moves to addition such as the milli rock. As I danced, I looked at the face of judges and each time, they were not impressed. Worry spread over my face. I had to speed up the tempo. I began to do the floss. I moved my hands back and forth as I kept my hips in position. The crowd was not that loud and it seemed I wasn't winning them for once in my life. I had to go hardcore. That might be my only chance. I did the Billy bounce a couple of times and quickly turned it into the shoot which I transformed into a reverse. I looked at the faces of the judges and they were smiling. The crowd jeered "Kyle". I couldn't believe it. Their cheers just made me want to go on. Beside the stage where two poles made of metal. Like those of radio stations. I stopped my dance and looked up. It was high. High enough for my signature move. I climbed onto the pole, grasping each pole until I reached the top. As I was climbing up, I heard gasps from the crowd along with a shout, "What's he doing?". On top of the pole, I could see Ayo and Teo, They were looking up, thinking about what I was gonna do next. They were not really impressed. I drew a cross across my heart and took a leap of faith. I back flipped, quadruple somersaulted and landed on the ground with a roll which I transformed into a dab of ranch, just teasing Ayo and Teo. The crowd was screaming and I saw the look of disbelief on their faces. Now Ayo and Teo looked impressed. I knew this was impossible to beat. The three judges brought out a mini white board and on it was written "9, 9, 10". I was given an impressive score and just then I had won the crowd. I was definite that I was going to win.
Next off was Ayo and Teo. Ayo put on his exo mask whilst Teo stretched his body. Everybody knew Ayo and Teo so I wasn't shocked when the crowd was screaming for them. Better off alone started to play again. Ayo and Teo were two unbelievable dancers. They both moved in different patterns moving their bodies in weird ways. I stood there watching as they both did the rollie. A move they invented. Next up was the schmateo clock. Another mind blowing move which they invented. Again the dab of ranch was performed and trust me when I said it looked better than mine. They both transformed this into reverse. Their signature dance move. Soon they stopped doing the same dance and mixed it up. Whilst Ayo was doing a windmill hit dem folks, Teo was doing the billy bounce. I looked at the faces of the judges and they were smiling just like they had with me. As for the crowd, they kept on screaming like a bunch of wild animals. Where was that when I was dancing? Finally they hit me with the woah. The number one dance trend of 2018. It was a move I had seen. "Why hadn't I thought about that", I scolded myself. I looked at the panel of judges as they brought their heads together and talked quietly. My heart was pounding it was as if time had slowed down. In my eyes, they took out the boards slowly and rose it up. I couldn't watch so I closed my eyes and a second later I got tempted to open them and I did. Time started to become normal again and the boards were finally raised.
