THE BATTLE
"I challenge you to a dance off newbie" , replied Blaze.
The crowd gasped.
I tried to escape through the entrance but I was caught and tossed back into the arena. I landed face first onto the ground.
"You can't go anywhere boy, get ready to dance off".
How could he be doing this? The blaze I had heard off was a dancer, maybe a legend but not a bully. The intercom began to play level up by Ciara. The dance off had begun. I didn't really know what the rules where and I also did not know who would go first.
Then Blaze took the floor. He started to dance. I stood there looking at him in awe as he moved his body to places where it was impossible to move. He performed the billy bounce and after that the Benny whip. He kept on going from dance move to dance move. Whipping here and dabbing there. In all this, cheers came from the stands along with those that circled us. Blaze was really a big name. I didn't know if I could compete with him. Just kidding. Blaze stepped towards me and spat on my face, ending his turn.
Laughter came from the crowd which really pissed me off. Before I realized it, I was angry. All my fear disappeared.
He was going down. The intercom stared to play Wow by Post Malone. It was such a coincidence but finally I could celebrate. I stood there laughing maniacally whilst Blaze stood there confused. I was hyped. I started off like a psycho. I did the reverse and the Roy Purdy and invented a couple of dance moves which made the crowd scream. I could feel the adrenaline running through my veins like I had taken an energy drink. I sidestepped and teased him.
Although I was dancing I could see he was hopeless. I continued to flex my moves. I don't know what came over me but I couldn't stop. The crowd went wilder than they had ever before. I gave in to exhaust leaving Blaze in the dust.
He stood there with his mouth gaped and soon his shock turned to anger. He advanced towards me, He looked as if he was about to beat the crap out of me. He was just trying to hide his shame but sadly it was written all over his face. Soon his anger subside and he stretched out his palm for a handshake. It was a sign of sportsmanship. What could possibly go wrong . I hands connected and this continued for about 15 seconds. I trued to remove my hand but it was trapped in his as if he had an iron grip.
He called a couple of guys and behind me I felt arms on my back, holding me firm so I couldn't move. Blaze cracked his knuckles as I was ripe for the picking. I felt his fist ran through my jaw. Then I felt another, then another. I was bleeding. I felt blood coming out of my mouth. But he wasn't done. He was just beginning. I received a couple of haymakers and I had nothing left. I felt like dying. He kicked me in my ribs and I felt the air try to run out of my lungs.
"This one's for being able to dance". One last punch turned my lights out. All I saw was a blur as I fell to the ground.
