I sat in class, working on my assignments. The door opened and I looked to see who it was, brushing a strand of hair from my face. I watched as a boy I'd never seen before walked in. This wasn't that big of a school so he had to be new.

Right when I saw him I nearly died. He was a taller, black haired, partially Korean boy. I knew he was older than me because I skipped a grade a few years ago. So, Everyone was older than me.

The boy came over and sat next to me. "can I sit with you? You seem the nicest out of everyone here." he asked with low, buttery voice. I nodded. "You know, I could be the biggest jerk here." I giggled. "I'm willing to test my luck." he chuckled. My heart fluttered. "Do need help getting around the school?" I asked him. "Yes, please." he quickly answered. I giggled. "I'll show you around. If you'd like, you can eat lunch we my friends and I." I said to him. "Thanks so much. I'm mark." He said. "I'm (y/n). Nice to meet you Mark."

~time skip to lunch~

I walked to the table at which all my friends were sitting at, and sat down. I looked over to the lunch room entrance. Mark stood there, scanning the room for me. I stood up and waved to get his attention. He smiled and began walking towards me. He sat down next to me. "Mark this is El, Vicky, Jack, and Oliver. Guys this is Mark." I introduced everyone. "hey guys." Mark waved. They all waved back.

Mark and I spent the whole time talking. We learned stuff about each other, like, his favorite color is red and he loves video games. We even found out that he had just moved into the house next to mine. "Hey Mark. Halloween is coming up. Wanna come over to my place? We're just gonna walk around town and stuff. Obviously we'll dress up too." I said. "I'd love to!" he laughed. "great."

~Halloween~

I fixed my hair and fixed my makeup. I was dressed as a cute little deer. I was wearing a black cropped top turtle neck, black leggings, and black uggs. I heard the doorbell. Walked down stairs and I answered the door. "Hey Mark!" I greeted him. "Hey (y/n)! I don't have a costume. I hoped you had something for me...."He said. "Of course I do!Let's go!" I lead him upstairs and started his makeup. Making him look like a buck (male deer). So we matched.

~after the party~

"This was fun. I'm glad you came with us, Mark." I said. "Me too."He said. "Welp. This is home." I said. "Good night, (y/n)." He said. "Good night, Mark." I said. I walked inside and closed the door behind me, before sprinting up stairs. I opened my window in my bedroom and peeked out from the bottom. 'Marks room is right there!' I thought to myself, looking at the window straight across from mine. The light switched on and Mark walked into new bedroom. I watched as he walked into his bathroom, closing the door behind him. I sighed and got up to get ready for bed.
