So it was Tuesday, today was the dance Gemini was talking about the other day.

I was exhausted by the evening, finished homework:Struggle, Sidekick job :As fun as ever, and dealing with Piper:Do I even need to start? My bed was starting to be my ticket to dreamland when my phone buzzed. Letting out a soft groan I checked it was a group message. Here's what it said:

Gemini:Hey Chemistry, get off your butt and come with us to go shopping!

Charlotte:It'll be fun~!

Dang it! I forgot about them wanting to go shopping for some outfits. But, do I really wanna go? There's a bunch of good clothes I could use from my closet, but then again Gemini and Charlotte would just barge in here and force me to get off my-

BEEP!!

I checked my phone, and I was right. Charlotte actually threatened to do so.

Gemini:So u comin or not?

Me:Alright! U win! I'll b @ the mall in 15 minutes.

Charlotte:Good, cause I know where u live.

Sighing I rolled my eyes,grabbed my Whiz Watch and made my way to the downstairs door when Henry barged from the door,hitting me square in the nose. I muffled a scream as I held it,Henry looked at me in surprise.

"Oh gosh,Sorry Chemistry! Are you alright?"

"Oh sure, I love getting hit in the nose as much as the next person. Now I'll see you at the dance, I'm going dress shopping!" I gave him a light push on the chest and left to the mall. On the way I found a dollar bill, gave it to a homeless woman, and found a really cool ring! (Media gummy bear ring)

Like Mrs.Hart always said,'Good things happen to good people'

TO THE MALL!!!!!

-The food court-

In my arms were two bags of my buyings,I actually collapsed into the chair of the food court when I saw a chair. Gemini was carrying 2 along with Charlotte. I would've gone with just enough for one but Nooooooo! I had to look great for the dance.

"So," Gemini started,leaning with her elbows on the table and her chin resting on her hands,"Seen any boys lately?"

Both Charlotte and I gave her weird and confused looks. She looked at both of us before groaning,"Just tell me if you have any crushes!!"

Both of us declined immediately, I don't even know the first thing of having a Boyfriend! I'm probably a third wheel like Leo Valdez! But having guy friends are way better than boy friends if you ask-

"Chemistry? Heloooooooooo? Earth to Chemistry~?" Charlotte was snapping her fingers infront of my eyes. I snapped from my daydream and looked at both girls who were smirking. "What? I did nothing." I panicked,they had faces that were very rare.

"Your staring at those guys."

What?

Gemini took a hold of my jaw and directed it to a group of boys a few tables down,they were some of the popular kids.

"Nah, I was just daydreaming."

"Oh sure." Charlotte mused,a smile dancing on her lips,"And I'm Beyoncé."

Beep beep beep

My eyes widened,then averted from Gemini and Charlotte to my whiz watch. Three beeps meant trouble, when I looked up Charlotte and my eyes met. The other knowing what the other was saying. I grabbed my two bags (putting one over my shoulders like a backpack) and looked at Gemini.

"Sorry Gemi! I have an appointment. Charlotte has to come too, bye!!" I grabbed the brown haired girl's hand and started running. It took us 15 minutes to get into Junk N' Stuff. By the time we were at the bottom of the fun elevator shaft Ray was at the computers with Shwoz.(found out how to spell his name)

"What's up?" Charlotte asked as we jogged down to the computers, Ray swiveled his chair and faced us with a dramatic look on his face.

"A villain escaped Swellview Prison." He scrolled the main screens and showed us a picture of a man in his late 30's. He had dark blue hair, black eyes, and a scar running across his cheek. He was holding up a prison number plate.

"The Infernus." He deadpanned,scrolling for more pictures.

"The Infernus is a villain who steals other villain or superhero powers and use it for his own dirty work. And now, he wants mine so he can 'rule the world!' " He clicked the mouse, and it showed a picture of the earth with The Infurnus's face infront of it.

"Oh, I get it." Charlotte muttered,"If he's indestructable-"

"Presciently." Ray interrupted.

"If he no hurt,then he rule us." Schwoz reasoned.

"So what do we-" I was cut off when Henry ran into the room.

"Sorry....I'm....late.....what's wrong?" He panted,drenched in sweat and -covered in slime?!?!
Before I could open my mouth Henry raised an index finger,"Piper." Understanding I nodded, if it's Piper then stay away. Taking turns we explained what had happened,but when we finished the gears in my brain started operating.

"Ray! We have the dance today!"

-2 hours later-

"I still can't believe he agreed!" Charlotte piped as she waited for me to finish changing behind the divider. She was wearing a simple purple dress with a small black purse.

"Yeah! But not so great he'll be chaperone."

We were able to go to the dance as long as he comes along. Just in case The Inferno strikes and we have to leave early. Just as I finished putting on the earring I pulled back the divider and smiled at Charlotte. She gave off a small squeal, linked arms with me, and we both left for the dance. Well, not before grabbing some gummy bears!

-At the dance-

The dance was simple, a DJ was at the back with a chaperone DJ-ing. Kids were either dancing, eating snacks, or some on their phones. Immediately Henry and I Were pulled aside by Ray.

"Keep an eye out." He forewarned.

"It's a middle school dance Ray," Henry stated the obvious,"Why would The Infernus be here?"

Before I could hear his answer Gemini came and pulled me aside. Her outfit was a pair of brown rights with matching suspenders/skirt, along with a white shirt and a pair of goggles. Steampunk goggles to be prescise. She was holding a necklace and a smile on her face.

"I wanted to give this to you," she said,grabbing my hand and putting the necklace into it,"To say we're best friends."

I examined the necklace, it was a locket that looked like a gear. It was about an inch in width, and inside of the locket was a carving, holding our names. On the side of the gear was a small bolt, and the locket was held by a wire made of copper.

"It's amazing." I breathed, giving her a hug. When we parted she reached to her neck and held a matching Locket.

She smirked,"And I added something else." She pressed the bolt on the side of my locket, and a soft melody played. Dancing inside my ears. (You can imagine any melody you want, for some reason I imagine Hey There Delilah by PlainWhiteT's)

"C'mon, we're missing all the fun!!"

-Timeskip-

So Gemini,Charlotte, and I all hung out at the dance. Ray kept on coming over to bug me, but I kept reassuring him that we're fine and that I have my 'gum' in case he needed it.

We were all talking when someone tapped my shoulder, I turned around to see a boy with pure blond hair, blue eyes, and small freckles along his nose. It was one of those guys Gemi and Charlotte thought I was staring at earlier.

"Do you wanna dance?" He asked.

What?! He wants to dance with me? Do I wanna dance with him? To be sure, I glanced back at the girls, who both nodded encouragly. Then I turned back to the ocean orbs.

"Sure."

We danced a couple of songs, but I noticed something odd,The DJ had BLUE hair. The exact same style as The Infernus. But, like Henry said, why would he be here? Unfortunately the guy was wearing oversized glasses so I couldn't see if he had the- oooooh. Immediately I excused myself and ran as fast as I could to find Henry and Ray.

Once I saw a glimpse of Ray, screams rang into my eyes. I whipped around and saw the DJ shooting a raygun at students. They dropped to the floor unconscious. Once I saw this I whipped my hand into my pocket and brought out the gum,popped one in my mouth and ran away to somewhere deserted in the school. Once there I changed into my uniform and ran back to the gym to find Henry and Ray in their uniforms.

"The DJ is The Infernus!!" Ray stated.

"We noticed Captain Obvious." Henry replied, some students ran past us while others were zapped by the gun.

"What do we do?!." I shrieked,dodging a Ray heading towards us.

The Infernus walked towards us calmly,taking off his oversized glasses to reveal his scar. "Honestly Captain Man, why would you be at a dance?" He chuckled.

I took a step forward,"Why are you DJ-ing?"

He looked at me with curiosity." I see you've replaced Kid Danger with new blood, what do you do? Bake cupcake and wave wands?"

"I'm right here Ya know?!?" Henry pouted,opening his arms to show his anger!

He's going regret that. I reached into my back packet and took out some gears, using them like ninja stars I threw them at Infernus, but he caught them mid-air. My jaw dropped. DANG IT!!!!!

"Nighty night." He waved,before we could do anything he hit Henry and Ray. But I geo-leaped away. It looked more like I jumped out of the way instead of leaping. Luckily for me, the raygun needed time to load more power.

A pair of henchmen ran from behind the bleachers, running towards me. The first one earned a kick in the gut, but the second one managed to grasp my leg as I threw it out. He smirked,and twisted it so I was jumping on one leg and facing the Infurnus.

I teleported away from the Henchman's grasp and a few feet behind the Infernus. I was about to charge when the henchmen, the one I kicked in the gut, bulldozed into me. I crashed through the windows next to me, pain seared through several places in my neck and arms. But a giant piece of glass was wedged into my stomach. My vision grew blurry,The last thing I remembered was a pair of henchmen picking me up.

-Timeskip-

Something hard was clasped around my wrists, pulling my alarms over my head. My eyes refused to open, after several failed attempts I finally managed to open them.

I was on the floor of a mini van. My uniform was still intact-Thank God- and my mask was still on. Thanks to my extra insurance the mask is only capable of being taken off by the owner. Your welcome robotics.

Henry and Ray were across from me,both awake.

"What happened?" I croaked,looking around as the car passed a bump.

"The Infernus happened." Ray grumbled,"He gave me a drink full of Jollybeetle tears. He scanned you,found out your powers, and forced them into your mouth."

I tilted my head in confusion. "What's the Jollybeete tears for?"

"It takes away your powers."

I stopped breathing that exact moment. My powers are gone? Suddenly pain grew into my stomach. A gasp of pain came out of my mouth and echoed into the boy's ears. Henry looked like he wanted to comfort me with a hug.

"You got hurt really bad." Ray muttered,both impressed and concerned. I have a weak smile,then I reached into my hair and took out a bobby pin, I started picking the lock of the hand cuffs in a matter of seconds.

"YOUR A GENIUS CHEMI-GIRL TROUBLE!!!" Henry exclaimed,but looked like he was mentally slapping himself.

"Quiet back there!!!" The driver shouted,banging the van. We all froze until a few seconds.

"Be quiet will you?" I muttered,the more I worked the more the pain increased.

My arms dropped, a smile of glee was on my face when I realized I did it. Using my feeble legs I stood up and started making my way towards the boys. Gravity hated me.

Here's why,

The car gave a hard left,causing me to get rammed into the back doors. Those idiot henchmen didn't lock it properly. Because as soon as I hit it it flew open, and I was sent to the ground. Pain ceased into my body as my vision started getting blurry again, and the van disappeared.

Once again, I blacked out.

In the middle of the street.
