You're My Family
The moment both his father and uncle told him about the hacking world they had abandoned, Gyeong only wanted to be a part of it. He knew that his father told him to stay away from it, he knew it was dangerous. He said it could destroy relationships and it could cost his life but Gyeong still wanted to be a part of it.
When he was 18, he joined an agency. He made sure his father and uncle were never mentioned, knowing that it would only cause problems. Gyeong kept his occupation a secret for 3 years until Laon found out.
-----------------
"How...." Gyeong asked as he gawked at his cousin. Laon took a sip of his tea, as if he hadn't heard him. Gyeong knew that Laon was smart but how he could possibly guess Gyeong was a hacker right off the bat was astonishing.
"Well, I just know you. We've lived together all our lives. We know each other no matter what. I just had to pick up on a few actions. Of course, I found out maybe two years ago but, you know, it wasn't the time," Laon said before standing up with his cup.
"Laon..."
"Don't worry," He said as he put his teacup in the sink. "I'm no tattle tell. You've been keeping this a secret for a reason. I, however, will force you to go outside,"
"As per usual?"
"Yes. You've got it right. Nothing really will change," Laon said before continuing. "But if you die, I'll never forgive you. I will hate you forever," He said with a face that said he was serious. Gyeong smiled at him before walked to him and giving him a tight hug from behind. "Hey! Get off of me, weirdo!"
"I just want to hug my cousin," Gyeong said in a whine. He heard Laon sigh before relaxing. Gyeong's hug got tighter as he felt himself want to cry. Laon was the best person he's ever met. He let out a small sound as he actually did start to cry.
"Hey, what's wrong? You're being strange," Laon asked.
"You just.... I just don't tell you often enough that you're the best cousin ever and I love you,"
"Hey! Don't get all emotional, you damn oaf! At least stop hugging me if you start crying. You'll get my shirt soaked," Laon said and Gyeong laughed through his crying. Laon wasn't one for comfort but he was still a great cousin. Gyeong let go of him as he told him to. Laon turned and looked at him. "What the hell happened?"
"You won't tell dad. You understand that this is something that interests me and you let me have it. I really don't deserve you,"
"Dude, I literally study up on murderers and where they went wrong so I can preform a perfect murder. I don't think I have much room to judge," Laon said, making Gyeong laugh again. Laon was a little off sometimes but he liked him like that. It was sad that in elementary school and even some of middle, Laon was bullied because of his odd interests and tendencies.
"Thank you!" Gyeong said as his tears dried. As he left the room he heard Laon mutter something like 'Over emotional fool'.
---------------
His friends only found out of his secret hacker job because he told them. They weren't exactly as close as Laon or really as smart. Jisu could be a good challenge in the intelligence department with Laon but she still wouldn't be able to beat him. Laon didn't even really look all that smart but his mind was a land of knowledge that never ends.
Gyeong told his friends one by one. Going from the ones he most trusted to the ones he least trusted. Of course, if he didn't trust them at all, he wouldn't tell but he trusted them all enough to hold onto this secret.
-----------------
He had offered to become the member who kept the RFA on track, just like how his father did. He was allowed access to the most classified information, which was held by Areum and Jeaki. They told him each and every little thing. What was supposed to be there and, if he saw any bugs or something that seriously wasn't supposed to be there, then it was his job to fix it. Before that, Jeaki was the one who did it but he wasn't really as good at it.
Gyeong knew he was living a life that was basically illegal but he had someone who would have his back no matter what. It didn't matter what Gyeong did, he knew he had someone who would help him to the best of thier abilities.
Family is important. No matter how weird they are, if they love you, they'll make sure you're safe and sound.
That includes sickness.
--------------
"I swear to God, if you don't open your mouth I will hurt you to the point you have to cry out in pain and when your mouth is open, that's when I will put this damn medicine in your mouth!" Laon said, clearly irritated at Gyeong when he wouldn't open his mouth.
Gyeong wanted to speak back but he knew if he opened his mouth, Laon would force the medicine down his throat. Instead, he shook his head but he heard a growl when he did so. Laon hasn't growled at him in forever.
"I fucking said open your mouth," Laon said in a low voice. He honestly couldn't help but feel a little threatened as he opened his mouth and felt the spoon go in. He forced himself to swallow the unpleasant tasting liquid.
"Ugh,"
"Was that so hard?" Laon said. Gyeong knew his best option was to stay silent. "Exactly. Now, do you need anything?" Laon asked. Gyeong was stuck in bed until further notice so Laon took the responsibility to take care of him.
"I'm hungry,"
"Fine. Soup,"
"Depends what kind,"
"Chicken noodle. The old fashioned remedy," Laon said before leaving the room. Gyeong smiled even if Laon couldn't see it. Laon cared in his own way, even if it was a little harsh. He knew he couldn't ask for a better person.
A/N: I wanted some family shit. I wanted some Gyeong and Laon bonding. I wanted some family things. I just wanted to write a happy family.
