Take Care
"Jeaki! Have you-" Areum's voice rattled through the halls only to stop in her tracks at the boy who had fallen asleep on the couch. She was surprised but then caught sight of that blasted high school project. He truly did work himself to death, no matter how many times she and thier mother scolded him. She looked back at him and noticed he fell asleep with his glasses on. "Jeaki..." She knew just by that that he didn't want to fall asleep and worked himself to exhaustion. This was highschool for him, he should take better care of himself.
She slowly made her way over to him, carefully taking hold of his glasses and slipping them off his face. "There, you should be more comfortable like that.." She whispered, trying not to wake the exhausted teen. She knew she could pick him up if she tried but wasn't sure if that was smart. She'd probably wake him.
She smiled before giving a kiss to his forehead, making him grumble before turning over to get away from the touch. "Sweet dreams, brother. And you better make your way to your bed... and eat something in the morning instead of putting last minute details on that dreaded project of yours," Areum worried over him, even if he couldn't hear her. She sighed before making her way to her bedroom. "Idiot brother,"
Jeaki was always trying his best. It was admirable to most but Areum hated that he considered his best was the point in which he shut down. She wanted her brother to not slave himself around like that but what can she or anyone do? He always argued that he was fine and wouldn't take no for an answer.
He was a stubborn boy. He was also determined and felt that he needed to work extra hard. He held himself to his familial status with Jumin. Always compared himself to Areum even though she didn't accomplish nearly as much. Always thought that, since he wasn't really Jumin's son, he had to try harder in everything. Truth is, Areum never wanted the company but Jeaki always had an interest in that department so of course she gave it to him.
He was her brother. She didn't see need to say half anything. Jeaki, though, was always self conscious.
"Jeaki... Please don't continue to do this to yourself..." She whispered as she touched the doorknob to her bedroom and closed the door softly behind her. Jeaki was one of the most important things in the world to her. The fact he bullied himself was torture to her.
