Eunha...

"Eunha?" Zen's voice sounded through her room as he opened her door, finding her curled in a fetal position on her bed. He knew she wasn't asleep. He knew she was crying. It was like this ever since middle school, when she had first come out. There was a lot of bullying and a lot of comments made her way for it and Zen hated seeing it. He hated the way people made her feel and would try to do anything he could but it seemed nobody cared much about Eunha for right now.

Zen took a deep breath before crawling on her bed, laying down beside her and holding her tight. She didn't move but he knew she wanted him there by the way she didn't yell at him to leave her alone. Then he noticed the red marks on her arm and knew she had been scratching, irritating her skin instead of breaking it. He took the edge of her long sleeve and pulled it up until it cover her whole arm.

"Shh, it's okay, Eunha," Zen said in a hushed tone, trying to comfort his daughter even if she wasn't in hysterics. He tightened his hug for a second before relaxing it again.

"Dad, do you pay my friends to be my friends?" Eunha asked, her voice quiet but scratchy from crying. It was a question that caught him by surprise. Did somebody tell her that?

"No, honey,"

"Are you sure? Why would they like me? I don't do anything and I'm not normal,"

"You're as normal as me and your brother. You do a great deal of things. You make music that could have just saved a person's life. You show a prime example of love. You are the embodiment of compassion. You are a wonderful companion to anybody who may come your way," Zen said, hoping that his words comforted his little girl a small bit.

She was almost a fully grown woman, nearing the end of highschool. She was also a strong one but sometimes, she truly does need her dad to help her out. Zen smiled a bit when he saw a ghost of a smile on her lips. "Have you seen your doctor yet?"

"Yes,"

"Have you talked about your problems instead of bottling them up? You have a tendency to do that,"

"I have... maybe not all of it,"

"Do that for me the next time, okay, sweet pea? I love you too much to see you in such a state. Although, if it helps, go ahead and have a cry. Just because I don't like seeing you in this state doesn't mean you can't cry in front of me," Zen said, focusing on letting her know not to bottle it all up. She was a kind girl and, most the time, she didn't want to bother him with what she called "her own worthless emotions". Zen wanted her to share more of those emotions though.

"I know, dad. I love you," Eunha said.

"I love you too. I'm going to stay here until you get sick of me, okay?" Zen said as he held her closer. He had thought of cutting her nails so she couldn't scratch at herself anymore. Maybe he'll do it but disguise it as a manicure? He doesn't want her knowing the real reason, she'd probably hide off more.

Either way, he just wanted Eunha to be happy. He wanted Eunha to live a full and happy life and accepting her when other's wouldn't was the first step of many. Eunha was Zen's little angel. She was his first born and something he wanted to protect and love with all his heart. So he stayed there, holding her for as long as she'd let him, praying that it will all get better for her.
