In the Mermaid realm, the squads had just excited the portal and once they were all out it closed behind them. When their vision cleared they all saw they were standing on a small island that looked deserted. They looked around and saw that there were strange looking fruits growing on the vegetation here.

"Wow this place is really nice, but why are we on the island instead of the kingdom?" Lila asked.

"Well we needed to get something from here, as there aren't any air sockets in the kingdom so we'll all have to breathe underwater if we want to see them, and we'll have to be quick," Iris explained.

"But how can we do that Iris?" Erick asked.

"Yeah what do we do to grow gills? Cause I don't think the human body is capable of that," Josh explained.

"Hehe don't worry there's no need for that as there's something on this island that will do the trick," Iris explained.

"Huh, what's that Iris?" Ed asked.

Iris smiled and walked up to a bush that had some blue fruits on it. She picked about nine of them and threw them over to the squads.

"Oh hey I remember these!" Paccia exclaimed.

"Really what are they?" Jake asked.

"There's a magical fruit that when eaten, will give you the ability to breathe underwater!" Paccia explained excitedly.

"Oh fascinating," Ed said.

"Yeah there's juice inside that you all have to drink first then eat the rest. Once that's done you'll be able to breathe underwater till it's been fully digested," Amara explained.

"Yeah, so let's eat everyone!" Iris exclaimed as she threw the fruits to everyone.

"Wait Faith, what about you and the other animal guides?" Lila asked worried about them.

"Don't worry about us, we have magic and we can breathe anything," Faith explained reassuring Lila and the others.

"Yeah so you all just eat up and let's get going!" Akira exclaimed.

The Squads all nodded and cracked open theri fruits and began drinking the juice inside. Once the juice was gone they ate the flesh and it was utterly delicious. After they were done eating Iris cast some magic and their clothes all turned into bathing suits.

"Wow thanks Iris, that saves us the trouble of dealing with soaking wet clothing when we get out of the water," Jane explained.

"Yeah that sucks, some of my siblings pushed me into water as a joke and it was always a pain to get out of it after that," Jenny explained feeling a little annoyed remembering her siblings' antics.

"Hey um where's my hoodie, cause I ain't going anywhere without that!" Josh exclaimed as he started looking around for his beloved hoodie.

"Oh your normal clothes are in your backpacks. I thought I'd leave them there for you all," Iris explained.

Josh then threw his backpack off and ripped it open, and there it was his beloved hoodie inside. Josh took it out, hugged it, and put it back on, refusing to take it off no matter what.

"I swear the only way anyone is taking that thing off of you is from your cold, dead hands," Erick stated.

"Ha! Good luck cause even then I'd glue it to my hands!" Josh exclaimed.

"Hey guys let's focus on the task at hand! We gotta get to the merpeople and stop Adrienne before she invades the kingdom and who knows what she'll do!" Hannah called out as she walked into the water.

"Right, let me get this back on and I'll be in!" Josh called out as he put his hoodie back on and went in.

Everyone else took off their backpacks and went into the water with Hannah. Once they were all in, Iris led them to the kingdom as she knew the way to it.

Currently in the Merkingdom, a mermaid Princess named Melody was in her room looking into the mirror at her new haircut.

"Hey Melody, what are you doing?" Melody heard her brother Kai ask.

"Hey Kai, I'm just looking out at the new hair style I made," Melody explained as she messed with the longer bits of her hair that was draped over her shoulders.

Her hair was cut up to her chin while some stranded in the fount were down to her shoulders.

"How do I look? It isn't too short is it?" Melody asked worriedly.

"You look great Sis, there's just some things missing," Kai said.

He then swam up to his sister and took some sea shells and put them up in her hair. He grabbed a hairband crafted from seaweed and shells, with tiny fake starfish on it and put it in her hair.

"There we go, you look perfect!" Kai exclaimed happily.

"I just hope Auntie doesn't say anything about it. She's always so adamant about me being the perfect princess, and looking perfect as well. I love her but she can be too much at times," Melody explained, sounding tired.

"Don't worry Sis, this is your special day and Mom will make sure Aunty doesn't do anything," Kai reassured his sister.

"Sigh... Okay, let's go out and show them!" Melody exclaimed, feeling much better.

The two siblings then swam out of Melody's room and went out into the main throne room. In the room their parents and aunt were telling servants and guards where to put certain items.

"Hey Mom and dad, Melody's finally done getting ready!" Kai called out to his and Melody's parents. The parents and Auntie looked over to them and the parents were happy with their daughter's new hair doo. However their aunt wasn't so happy as she stated that a princess should always have long hair. So the auntie swam up to her niece and screamed, "MELODY WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR!"

"Auntie it's alright I just cut it," Melody explained trying to get her aunt to stop freaking out.

"No no no! A perfect princess always has to have long hair! Not hair this short!" her auntie explained.

"Kaia, relax! Melody is allowed to have her hair be any style as it's her hair and not yours!" Melody's mother explained to her sister.

"Coral, you don't understand! All Princesses must have long hair, to express their beauty and femininity! How can Melody do that when her hair is that short?" Kaia asked.

Before her sister could respond a sea crab swam up to her as fast as she could. "Queen Coral! I have a very important message to give you!" the sea crab called out.

"Huh? What is it Bay?" Coral asked.

"Princess Iris was spotted coming to our kingdom with about eight humans who all were wearing the rainbow amulets!" Bay explained quickly.

"Princess Iris? We haven't seen her nor anyone from her kingdom for two years, I wonder what she's doing here after all this time?" Kai asked.

"I don't know son, but this day has gotten even better as apparently new Rainbow Squads were chosen!" the king exclaimed excitedly.

"Yes it is Maj! I'll inform everyone about this, and you arrange for some of our guards to bring them here. Sister, can you arrange a welcoming for them when they enter the kingdom?" Coral asked Kaia.

"Of course I can! After all, new Rainbow Squads must be treated with the most respect!" Kaia stated as she swam away to arrange the welcoming.

"Melody, Kai, you two are allowed to go play till the ceremony begins. So don't swim too far away from the palace," Coral explained.

"Thanks Mom!" Kai exclaimed excitedly.

"Thanks, I'll see you later at the ceremony!" Melody exclaimed as she swam away.

The Squads were all swimming through the waters looking around at all the sights they were seeing. They all were amazed by everything they were seeing under the sea. "Wow, this place is so beautiful. It makes me realize that even if there's a world under the water," Ed said.

"Yeah this place is so mesmerizing," Jane said.

"Yeah and it's so cool that we're underwater and we're breathing!" Josh exclaimed, amazed by the experience.

"I know, I wonder how my voice sounds underwater when I sing?" Erick asked.

"I don't know but I'm curious to find out," Jenny said.

"Um, who are they?" Hannah suddenly asked as she spotted a few figures swimming up to them.

The Squads all froze as they saw the figures and saw them getting closer to them. They all tensed up as they didnt know if they were friends or foe. However when they came into full view the Squads all saw that they were merfolk and they calmed down a bit but remained weary.

The merfolk soon came to a stop and one of the guards started speaking. "Hello Princess Iris, Rainbow Squads. We were sent by the queen to bring you all to the kingdom and welcome you all."

"Oh hello, it's nice to meet you all. I'm Hannah and these are our animal guides, Amanda, Akira, Katie, Amara, Dillion, Paccia, Faith, and Umang. There are also my friends the Rainbow Squads Jake, Jenny, Ed, Lila, Erick, Jane and J- where's Josh?" Hannah asked as she noticed that he was missing.

The Squads all looked around but didn't see him anywhere.

"Oh great! That guy is like a five year old, you turn your back on him and bam! He knows how to teleport!" Erick stated a little annoyed.

"Wait till you all actually learn to teleport then it'll be a problem," Iris said.

"Yeah well where did he go?" Jane asked as she looked around for her friend.

"Well he must be looking around for inspiration for another video he'll make when we get home," Lila explained.

"That guy, always finding something new to put in his videos," Jake said while rolling his eyes.

Josh was swimming through the water looking around the under sea and admiring the place. As he swam he also enjoyed how the cool water hugged his whole body. He never thought that he'd be under the water for so long and he enjoyed how it felt to inhale water instead of air.

"Man this is awesome! I'm underwater, I'm breathing water, and this place is just giving me so many good ideas for a future video!" Josh exclaimed as he swam backwards and admired his surroundings.

However as he swam he ended up bumping into someone behind him. He heard a girl cry out and he looked back to see that whoever he bumped into had dropped a load of shells as a small pile of them sunk down to the sea floor. Josh became embarrassed and swam down with the girl and the two started recollecting the shells.

"I-I'm so sorry, I didn't see-" Josh was saying as he collected the shells, till he looked up at the girl.

The girl was a mermaid who had a sky blue tail, with her fins being the same yellow as his hair, just a little darker. The top part of her hair was also the same sky blue and the bottom was the same bright yellow. She also wore a strapless dark blue crop top with a yellow star fish on the front. She also wore arm straps that were made of seaweed with a seashell on the sides. When Josh saw her his face heated up and the water around him practically bubbled a little as he blushed. The girl looked at him and when she saw him she also blushed and the water around her practically bubbled a little as well.

"Um... H-Hi I'm Josh..." Josh said feeling nervous as he looked at the girl.

"H-Hello I'm... Melody," Melody said, also feeling nervous as she looked at Josh.

The two stood in place staring at one another for a moment, not knowing what to say to each other. However Josh remembered the shells and soon collected the rest and gave them to her. Melody shyly took them and looked away when she had all her shells back. She felt her heart hammering against her chest as she looked back at Josh for a moment before looking away again.

"Hey Melody look at this shell I found! It looks just like a... huh?!" Kai was saying till he swam up and saw his sister with Josh. He saw that the two were blushing, and got suspicious about it, he then looked at Josh's pocket and saw his amulet sticking out.

"Hey you the yellow Squad?" Kai asked.

"Um... Y-Yeah I'm Josh." Josh said nervously introducing himself.

"Awesome! I'm Kai and you've already met my little sister Melody, it's nice to meet you!" Kai said swimming up to Josh and held his hand out to shake it.

Josh just took Kai's hand and shook it back awkwardly not knowing what to say as his mind went blank when he saw Melody.

"Bro what are you doing here!" Josh heard Lila ask. He looked up and saw her sitting on a rock formation that was next to them and was above them a little.

"Um, I got lost while admiring the scene," Josh explained while rubbing the back of his head.

"Well let's go, the others are looking for you and some guards told us they're taking us to the palace for a welcoming ceremony," Lila explained.

"Ohh, you must be the Light blue Squad, I'm Kai and this is my sister Melody, it's nice to meet you," Kai said welcomingly.

"Oh nice to meet you," Lila said.

"You all too! Now let's get going!" Kai said as he swam to the castle.

The three then followed behind Kai, with Josh and Melody swimming awkwardly next to each other. Soon they all got back together with the rest of the Squads and Kai introduced himself to them as well as introducing Melody who still remained quiet. She looked at Josh again and couldn't help but only think of one thing about him. 'He's so cute,' Melody thought to herself as she swam up to one of the guards.

After introductions were done the guards led the Squads to the palace where they got a big surprise. The Merpeople were all cheering them as they swam through the kingdom and to the castle itself.

"Wow everyone here knows how to make us feel welcomed," Hannah said.

"Yeah they do, and besides, new Rainbow Squads are always something to celebrate about," Iris explained.

"Well I just hope we can inform the King and Queen about the danger that they're all in right now," Jake said as he felt worried.

"Don't worry Jake, we'll do what we can to help them, and if Adrienne comes with an army to attack, we'll fight back!" Hannah exclaimed with determination shining in her eyes.

Jake smiled at that feeling a lot better and he went back to focusing on the main task at hand. When they all got to the palace they were greeted by the king and queen who were sitting on their thrones and smiling warmly. "Ah Princess Iris it is so nice to see you again after all this time, how have you been and... where are your parents?" Coral asked.

"Actually Queen Coral I have something to inform you about! King Lucifer had invaded my kingdom and twisted it to be just like his. I was sent to earth to find the Rainbow Squads, as you can see I've completed that task. However Lucifer's daughter Adrienne is planning to invade your world and steal your kingdom's magical artifacts," Iris explained as briefly as she could.

"What! Oh my word that's just awful! How long do you think we got till they're here?!" Coral asked worriedly.

Before Iris could give an answer they all heard an explosion followed by merpeople screaming. They all swam outside and saw Shadow monsters in the shape of sea monsters attacking the city and the merpeople feeling in terror.

"I'm gonna say we got no time and we gotta fight now!" Erick screamed.

"He's right! Rainbow Squads Transform and fight!" Hannah screamed.

Everyone nodded and they all screamed, "RAINBOW POWER ACTION!!"

However this time when they transformed their outfits transformed to match with the undersea world. The girls dresses looked like one piece bathing suits and their skirts were sea thru. Their shoes became like fins that would help them swim better through the water. The boys outfits looked like scuba gear with fins on the legs, arms, and backs.

Once they were done transforming they admired the new forms their outfits had taken.

"Wow this is amazing!" Jenny exclaimed, amazed.

"I know, Iris, since when could our outfits do that?!" Ed asked, amazed by this.

"Well they actually take on different forms depending on your current environment," Iris explained.

"Well then this is awesome! I wonder what form they'd take in other places?" Erick asked.

"We can ask that later Erick right now let's focus on stopping Adrienne from destroying this kingdom!" Hannah explained getting everyone's attention.

"Yeah, let's stop her before this place becomes just like Iris's kingdom!" Jane exclaimed.

"Or you all can make this very easy and just give me what I want!" everyone heard Adrienne call out.

They looked up and saw her standing on one of her Shadows while smirking at them.

"Adrienne! What do you want from my kingdome!" Coral demanded to know.

"Oh simple, give me your trident and your combe and I'll leave your kingdom, your family, and your people alone!" Adrienne explained setting her demands.

Coral looked at her trident wondering if she should give Adrienne the items hoping that would mean she would leave her kingdom.

"No way! Adrienne, we know you so well that you'd just take over this place regardless!" Hannah stated angrily.

"Hmm yeah that's true. I guess then I'll just take them and destroy you all! Shadows ATTACK!" Adrienne commanded her minions.

The shadows all roared and swam up to the Squads to attack them in cold blood.

"Jake, keep as many merfolk as safe as you can! Twins you two distract the shadows! Jenny, Ed, Erick, Jane you four attack and destroy as many shadows as you can! I'll make sure Adrienne doesn't make any more!" Hannah commanded everyone. They all nodded and got to work. Jake used his shields to protect any merfolk he could ensure everyone's safety. Josh and Lila distracted any Shadow that they could, while their other friends fought back against them. Hannah meanwhile fought Adrienne with her sword to insure that she couldn't make any more shadows to attack.

Melody meanwhile watched from inside as her family stood ground and watched as her mother did what she could to help by ensuring the trident stayed with her. She wished that she could help out in the fight but she didn't have powers of her own. However she remembered one item she knew could allow her to help. So she swam to the treasure room to collect the time and help out in the fight.

Outside the Squads had managed to defeat some Shadows with their magic. Erick blasted some with the tones he'd play on his guitar, Jane used her newly equipped weapons Katie taught her to summon, which was a pair of fans, to cut through the Shadows causing them to explode and evaporate into nothing. Ed used his light to blind the Shadows, which allowed Jenny to shoot them with her arrows making them explode and evaporate into nothing. Lila meanwhile used her ribbons to drag Josh around as he made faces at the shadows provoking them to chase them. Josh would then use his guns and shoot them making them explode into nothing but light. However a shadow in the shape of a shark swam up to the twins and used its sharp teeth to bite through Lila's ribbons. This caused her and Josh to separate and for her to go flying through the water till she collided with a building. The Shark then grabbed onto the ribbon that was still wrapped around Josh and swam up to Adrienne. When Adrienne saw this she smiled evilly and managed to throw Hannah off of her. The Shark then dangled Josh right next to Adrienne who held her weapon right next to Josh. Josh tried to aim his guns at her but the shadow she was standing on wrapped one of its tentacles around Josh so tight that he screamed and unintentionally let go of his guns.

"Now I'm going to give you all an ultimatum! Give me the trident and the comb and he lives!" Adrienne demands.

"Hey! That's not fair!" Erick screamed angrily.

"HA! Sorry Mr. but when it comes to the rules of the battlefield I don't play fair!" Adrienne explained while smiling.

"You're sick and twisted using our friend like that!" Jenny screamed angrily.

"Oh why thank you! But no talk! So what will it be, Hannah, the artifacts or your dear friend?" Adrienne asked while looking at Hannah and holding her sword closer to Josh who cringed back in fear. Hannah froze as she heard her heart pounding in her chest and heard a ringing in her ears. She didn't know what to say or do at that moment; she didn't want to give up the artifacts but she also didn't want to lose her friend.

"How about a third option! You leave and don't take anything!" Everyone heard Melody scream. They looked up and saw Melody above them with the magical comb in her hands. The comb itself was sea blue with a light blue seashell in the center top of it.

"Melody, what are you doing?!" Kaia screamed at her niece.

"I'm getting this meanie out of our kingdom and sending her right back to where she belongs! Waters Power Punch!" Melody screamed and used the combs powers to send a strong stream of water to the Shadow Adrienne was standing on. The Shadow was instantly thrown down causing Adrienne to go with it and fall forward. This also caused the shadow to release Josh, allowing him to summon his gun again. He shot the shadow that was holding him.

"Everyone, out of the way! I'm going to send them out of here! Iris, you think you can help me?" Melody asked. Iris nodded her head and she swam up to Melody and stood next to her as she used the comb again.

"Waters form whirlpool!" Melody commanded and her comb glowed.

A whirlpool formed and she used it to suck up all the remaining Shadows and Adrienne. Once they were all in the whirlpool Iris used the Key to form a door that led back to the kingdom of negativity. Once the door was made Melody threw the remaining Shadows and Adrienne through it.

When she did that everyone heard Adrienne scream, "I'LL BE BACK!"

The door closed and locked before disappearing into nothing. Everyone cheered for the Squads and the two princesses who saved them and their magical artifacts. Melody swam down to her parents and tried to give the comb back to her mother.

"Mom I'm sorry I took the comb without permission, I-I just wanted to help I-" Melody was saying but was cut off when her mother gently pushed the comb back to her.

"Melody I'm not upset, far from it, I'm impressed how well you used the comb for your first time. I'm proud of you, you saw danger and did what you could to help out! Squads, my daughter, my people! Tonight we shall celebrate this victory with a grand fest! Let us celebrate that the New Rainbow Squads and my daughter saved us all from this invasion!" Coral announced to her people who cheered in joy as they all came out of their hiding spots.

The Squads all cheered as well, happy to hear about the feast and they were also elated with the victory. Hannah however felt guilty that she wasn't able to act faster, she felt that if Melody didn't show up when she did be in a serious, precarious situation. However she knew that she'd have plenty of opportunities to try again as this fight was far from over.
