Bethany's P.O.V

When we arrived back at the tower I climbed off Steve's motorcycle and made my way to the elevator. Natasha and Pepper were in the car we took out while Deanna was in the back of Bruce and Clint's car. I had jumped onto Steve's motorcycle because it was closer and he offered me a ride.

Tony and Thor had opened to fly back to the tower so we're waiting for us all upstairs. "Beth?" Steve called just as I reached the elevator, my phone drawn from my handbag. Pausing in mid step I turned my head to face the super soldier. "Are you okay?" He finally asked after a few moments of silence.

"I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?"

"You seem angry."

"I'm not surprised after what just happened." Pepper joined in as she walked into the elevator along with me, Steve and Natasha.

"I'm not angry at that." I cleared up. "I'm angry at Fury. Angry to the point I've just messaged him, asking him to come here and explain a few things to me."

"Is that a wise idea?" Steve questioned, turning to Natasha who simply shrugged and left the elevator. We all followed after her and sprawled out in the main living room with Tony and Thor.

Half an hour later Bruce has joined us in the living room and Natasha had disappeared. "Sir. Director Fury has just arrived." J.A.R.V.I.S. announced.

"Great!" I chirped, standing to my feet quickly. The elevator doors opened and Fury stepped out, looking very unhappy about the situation.

"What is it Agent Lloyd?" He asked in an irritated tone. My face became serious as I took a few steps towards my 'boss', my eyes narrowing into slits as I did so.

"HYDRA." I stated simply. His body tensed more than usual and his eye drifted away from me for a second. "They attacked us." I expanded. That causing him to look back to me. "Those bodies you picked up were HYDRA agents. They attacked while me, Agent Romanoff, Agent Chalmers and Miss Potts were out."

"The girls called us for back up." Steve added.

"They threw me into a bus. They windshield broke on impact and the glass shards embedded themselves into my arm." I showed Fury the bandage Bruce had put on my arm after we got back and he had taken the shards out. I hadn't noticed during the fight that they had been stuck in my arm.

"Agent Chalmers?" Fury asked with a tilt of his head and a raised eyebrow.

"Dislocated left knee and right shoulder." Clint answered as he walked in with Natasha, the two of them holding hands. "Dr Banner had to reset them at the scene, she's currently knocked out with morphine in her room."

"Why do I need to know this?" The Director asked.

"We're all your Agents, we all work under you." Natasha spoke up.

"You rule over us." Thor added.

"Me and Deanna have been in more near death experiences than we'd like to count." I said. "What makes this one so different from the others? The enemy was one that is supposed to be on log. One that is meant to be tracked and Agents alerted when there is a threat from them.

"But for some reason no body knew. No body got that threat warning. We only knew about it once they had attacked and tried to kill innocent people. So I want to know why there was no threat alert." I demanded.

"Agent Lloyd you must understand that there might have been miscommunication." Fury tried to reason.

"With the top organisation that keeps the world safe there is?" I asked in disbelief. "I don't think so. How about the idea that most of your information about HYDRA is a lie so you can fill up file space?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and folded arms.

"How did you-?"

"The most dangerous threat, enemy, we have is currently running around the streets of New York and we don't know about it because your information is a lie." I snapped. "So now what? You expect us to keep and eye out and track HYDRA?" I asked rhetorically.

"If that's what you feel necessary for the protection of the world Agent Lloyd then yes, that's what I want you to do. In fact that's what I want you all to do. Now that Loki and Adrienne are no longer a threat HYDRA will be your new mission." Fury replied, making my eyes widen.

Everyone looked at me as the Director walked away. "So Cap." Tony said, Turing all the attention from em to him. "You know HYDRA best, how are we finding them then taking them down?"
