Chapter 10: Tratior
3rd persons P.O.V
Loki sat on his throne staring off into the distance. He had nothing to do for all his duties for the day were finished and everyone was smart enough to know not to object to the ruler of Asgard. "My lord!" A guard yelled, bursting into the room thought the front entrance.
At the same time Adrienne walked calm in from the side door, Narfí gurgling happily in her arms. "What is it?" Loki asked the guard, rolling his head to the side slightly as he faced the flustered male, coated in golden armour. The guard took a few moments to calm his breathing.
"It's about your daughter Sir."
"Who Hel?" Adrienne questioned, her eyebrows easing ever so slightly at the mention of Loki's daughter.
"Yes ma'am. We have received intelligences that she has been helping the mortal knows as Deanna Chalmers." The guard explained.
"Help how?" Loki questioned as Adrienne handed him Narfí.
"She brings the mortal to Valhalla and gives her a sense of life as she dies on Midgard. We believe the mortal has recently met you Mother Frigga."
"So she's a traitor?" Adrienne question, tottering down the fews stairs until she reached the guards, who nodded gingerly. "Than why haven't you done something about it?" The girl asked in a sickly sweet voice.
"We will not kill the Princess ma'am."
"Did I say kill her?" Adrienne questioned, raising an eyebrow yet again. The guard shook his head. "No, I told you to do something about it. Block the power to stop bringing the girl up. Or even send someone down to Midgard to kill the mortal. I don't care how you do it, just do it!"
"But ma'am those tasks are-"
"Possible if you put your mind to it!" More guards rushed in to see what the shouting was about. Narfí had fallen to sleep peacefully in his Fathers arms as Loki watched the scene before him unfold. He smirked at the girls words and attitude, she had some well to keep so calm for so long.
"Ma'am with all due respect we will not take orders from-" the guard was cut off mid sentence as Adrienne shot her arms forward and a bright light shot from her palms. The light blasted through the guards chest, sending him tumbling to the floor, a pool of blood spilling from the wound.
"Someone get that cleaned in instantly!" Loki ordered as maids rushed in and the other guards stood stiffly. "And as for you lot, do something about that mortal talking to my daughter. I'd something isn't done I won't stop Adrienne doing the same to you." The God pointed to the bloody body.
The guards nodded before running off, shouting orders at the others that were scattered around the castle. "Well that was fun." Adrienne chirped, skipping back up the stairs to meet Loki and a still sleeping Narfí.
"Indeed and our boy slept through it all." Loki chuckled.
"Of course he did he's a deep sleep, just like his Father."
"What's that meant to mean?" Loki questioned as Adrienne walked back down the stairs and towards the side door, heading out of the throne room and to the corridors leading to their chambers. She laughed airily and threw a smirk over her shoulder at the slightly confused God.
"One day you'll sleep for ever because no one will be able to wake you up!"
