"are you sure about this?"

"I want to know why Sans."

A four hour drive from Alphys Lab was where the address of my mother led us to. Sans and Papyrus had joined me for the trip, I had walked for the first time in a month yesterday and the two wanted to make sure that I would be fine. Papyrus drove while Sans and I watched the scenery from the backseats, telling puns about almost everything we pass. The closer we get to the house the more afraid I am, what if she never wanted a child?What if she hated monsters and that's why she left me?

"she'll like ya kid. don't worry about it."

"I'll try... Can you pull up around the corner please Pap?"

"WHY?"

"I... in case she... um..."

"hates monsters."

"No! She wouldn't hate monsters..."

Even though I don't answer Sans' questions Papyrus still pulls up around the corner from the house. I take a breath and lean back into my chair.

"go on, go say hi."

I gather another breath and quickly leave the car before I tell Papyrus to leave. I walk towards the house, it's a double story building. Does she have a family? I knock on the door before I gather a doubtful thought.

"Coming! I'm coming!"

Her voice sounds very calm and kind, but voices can sometimes deceive you. The noise of a lock makes me stand upright as the door flies open, the same woman from Alphys picture looks at me strangely.

"Um... hello. Who are you?"

"My name is Duska Rose. Are you Olivia Young?"

"That's me. Why are you here Ms Rose?"

I breathe in deeply, it's time.

"Nineteen years ago did you abandon a baby girl by the doors of an orphanage?"

Her face changes, not to one of surprise but of disgust.

"You! I left you there for a reason! Your... a monster!"

"I'm hybrid yes but..."

"Leave! I fell into the Underground and fell in love with a monster, but I had never wanted a baby! If the community finds out about you my reputation is gone!"

"Wait... your reputation? You abandoned me for your reputation!?! Not because you couldn't look after me or that you were too young for a child!?! But for your REPUTATION!?!"

Anger radiates through me, reputation!?! My hand lights up aqua, energy flowing through my veins. Fear appeared on my mothers face...

"You going to kill me now!?!"

Tears fell from her face, she was afraid of death.

"No. I'm not that type of monster, you're the monster here."

The magic stopped flowing and I begin walking away from the house of rejection.

"No one will ever except you! Your a freak of nature!"

The door slams shut as I continue to walk. I look at the reflection of myself using her metallic mailbox, making sure my face remains neutral. I don't want the brothers to be woried about me, i'll say that it was the wrong address. I feel their eye sockets on me as I enter the car.

"It was the wrong address guys."

"you sure?"

"The one who answered was a man and he's never heard of Olivia Young so... yeah..."

I face out the window as Papyrus starts the car and begins driving us home. The drive home is more quiet then the way up, i'm unable to sleep as the thought of my mother remains in my mind. As we enter our apartment it's eleven at night and I let out a yawn.

"I'm tired. Goodnight you two."

"night duska."

"GOOD NIGHT."

Their voices sound worried but I enter my room before they start asking questions. I quickly change into some pyjamas with skulls plastered all over the bottoms and a large one on the singlet and jump into bed, wrapping the blanket tight around me. I feel tears running down my face but I don't make noise. Eventually the darkness encompasses my mind.

I see my mother infront of me, staring at me in disgust. She slowly walks up to me until she's a breath away from me.

"Your a freak of nature!"

She pushes me and I fall into an abyss. I land onto a hard surface and I look up to see Toriel, Asgore, Undyne, Alphys, Frisk, Papyrus and Mettaton stand around me, looking at me with either fear or disgust. Sans is behind them all, his eye sockets covered by his hoodie.

"Your neither a monster nor a human..."

"You should have been one of those souls..."

"YOU ARE NOT MY FRIEND."

"Y-your too s-strong to be around..."

"Stay away from Frisk!"

They all pass me and one by one they're absorbed in aqua fire, all but Sans.

"there's something wrong with you kid..."

He walks up beside me, i'm still on the ground from the previous fall. I see his eye sockets from under his hood, they're completely black.

"just die duska..."

"What? Hey... Sans..."

I reach my hand out to him but he quickly jumps back, removing his hood from his skull. His left eye begins to slowly glow blue.

"don't touch me. if you wanna live you'd better run."

"Why? What... what will you..."

"your going to have a bad time... dirty brother killer!"

He throws a hailstorm of bones at me but a wall of aqua fire appears infront of me, defending me from his attack. Once the fire dies down my arm begins glowly gently, but the sight of it makes me feel uneasy. Sans advances towards me slowly and my left arm begins rising, I don't want to! It stops just as Sans does, my hand directed right at him. I try and yell at him, try and tell him to run, but no words could escape my throat. My hand glows brighter as a laser of green and blue shatters the bones that create Sans.

"NOO!"

My mind is foggy as sleep releases me from it's grasp, a noise seems to have woken me up. I sit up and rub my eye sockets, the sound of crying is now audible.

"...hm? papyrus?"

I walk to the door and open it, turning my head towards Papyrus' door. A second later the door opens to reveal a sleepy looking Papyrus who's looking back at me.

"did you have a nightmare?"

"NO. DID YOU BROTHER?"

"no... duska?"

We both look towards the door across the hall, a faint aqua color shines from underneath the door. Both Papyrus and I leave our doorways and stand by her door. Papyrus knocks on it gently, pushing his head onto the door.

"HUMAN? ARE YOU ALRIGHT?"

The light under the door becomes brighter, both of us know what it means. Without a word Papyrus tries the doorknob, locked. He takes a few steps back then rams into the door, bursting it open to see a ball of aqua fire surrounding Duska's head and torso.

"My eye... Pap... it hurts... why... no... Sans... I didn't... no... "

"duska! c'mon, snap out of it!"

She holds her left eye tightly as she begins to scream and cry. This has happened to both Papyrus and I, at a certain age our magic hurts one of eyes. Papyrus was unlucky, in human years he was only twelve when it happened to him while I was fourteen. We run to either side of the bed and begin trying to calm her down.

"DUSKA, CALM DOWN PLEASE!"

"I didn't mean to kill them!"

"IT IS JUST A NIGHTMARE."

"I didn't mean to... I didn't want to kill Pap... Sans please... don't die... "

"kid, we're right here. wake up, it ain't us."

"My eye... it burns... Sans... please... Pap..."

"WAKE UP!"

Papyrus actually angrily yelled at her to wake, he never angrily yells. Her right eye opens as she holds her still flaming left in her hand. Fright appears on her face as she looks at me, believing that she's still in her dream.

"Sans... please... I didn't mean to..."

"I'M RIGHT HERE DUSKA."

He grabs her chin and turns her towards him, smiling as she looks at him. Her free hand reaches up to his face to check if he's real, i've done that before.

"Pap?"

"IT WAS JUST A DREAM."

"But... my eye..."

"that's happened to us two as well kid. it only lasts an hour or so."

"Sans? It... burns... why... the nightmare..."

"it may not always happen to monsters but us two also had nightmares..."

She screams again, her hand trying to grab onto her eye. Without warning Papyrus jumps onto her bed and embraces her tightly, letting her cry onto his pajama top. I too climb onto her bed and begin rubbing her back to try and comfort her.

"I... my magic..."

"stop kid. it was a dream. you didn't kill anyone."

"My mother..."

"Probably misses you. you can't-"

"She hates me Sans! I lied! She was home and she called me a freak! She never wanted me! All she cares about is her reputation in her town! No one will ever love me! Who could!?!"

"DO NOT SAY THAT! WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS AND WE THINK YOUR PERFECT!"

"what pap said."

She looks up at us both and finally a smile appears on her face.

"Heh... this feels like some horrible drama from TV..."

"EXCEPT THERE'S TWO MONSTERS AND A HUMAN WHO ARE ACTUALLY FRIENDS WITH ONE ANOTHER."
