"Let them go!"

"run duska!"

"Make me! Down here... it's kill or be killed."

I see the vines squeeze tighter, making both of the skeletons scream in pain. Papyrus' costume and Sans' jacket get punctured by the thorns, bone shows through the holes.

"No one will save any of you. Not even FRISK!"

As the flower says Frisk's name a red heart appears infront of him, along with five others which are slightly tinted with their own colors. They seem different from the red one... are they monster souls? Many more souls begin appearing around the centre six, a combination of human and monster souls.

"frisk! you stupi- ARGH!"

At Sans' words the vines hold him tighter and one of the thorns enter his right eye socket which seems to be extremely painful.

"STOP IT!"

"No! I will not! These two are the last of the group who... defeated me. It will not happen again!"

A bright flash of light blinds me for a moment, the sounds of the two screaming are cut off suddenly and the room returns to normal. Their gone. The vines retract into the ground as the flower laughs manically. The center hearts are joined by two more monster souls, they're colored a dull blue and orange.

"What... WHAT DID YOU DO!?!"

"What do you think I did!?! I absorbed their souls! And now... i'll absorb yours."

Several vines shoot out from the ground at my feet but i'm able to jump back in time to avoid them. A second blinding light fills the cavern walls and a demonic goat man appears in front of me, floating above the ground.

"You want it the hard way!?!"

"No..."

Tears encase my vision, how... why...

"Bring them back."

"MAKE ME!"

Tears roll down my cheeks, splatting against the soft surface below me. I quickly wipe them away and look directly at the monsters face.

"WHO ARE YOU!?!"

"I am Asriel! I am also the one who will destroy both humans and monsters!"

A series of colored lightning strikes begin raining from the sky towards me. My instinct begins to guide me, left, right, up, down. After a minute of continuous strikes they stop and I look back up to Asriel, sweat running down my forehead. The images of everyone i've met in the previous two months begin flashing through my mind. Undyne and her aggresive yet friendly actions. Alphys' shy jokes refrencing tons of anime, some that i've never even heard of. Toriel and her motherly kindness towards everyone she meets. Asgore and his delicious tea. Frisk, so young to be someone with weight upon his shoulders. Then there are the skeleton brothers, Papyrus and Sans. Two months is a short amount of time to spend with people, yet... I feel as if i've known them for a lifetime.

"Why..."

I look down to see my soul radiating from where my heart is, a flurescent aqua. The orphange abandoned me to a man who left me alone everyday and never regretted it. I only had one friend who left me and the only man that I ever loved beat me almost to death. A vine suddenly reaches for me but I quickly roll out the way, I now don't regret gaining those black belt in taekwondo, karate and kung fu. The only good thing about being adopted by that rich bastard.

"You seem to have a lot of determination."

But no one comforted.

"But you will not win against me."

But no one loved.

"Frisk defeated me because of the power of RESET."

But no one stayed.

"But you... you have nothing!"

But no one assisted.

"You will die alone down here."

But no one visited.

"But then two came."

"What?"

"Two monsters came... and saved me."

"You mean those boneheads that I just absorbed? HA! You will soon join them!"

A sword is summoned into either one of his hands and he begins slashing with precision. One hand, other hand, swapping between the two, until he slashes with both which release a small bunch of white stars towards me. I dodge between them, making sure not to get hit by any.

"One bad hit from me and you'll be DEAD! Just give up!"

"I have never given up and I never will!"

Something resonates from Asriel as I finish screaming my words at him, it feels familiar. It feels warm. I reach out towards it, black surrounds my vision and I close my eyes as I feel like i'm about to get hit.

"All humans will die!"

"Undyne?"

I open my eyes to see Undyne dressed in her usual tank top and pants but her face is... blurred by white. She doesn't move from where she is and i'm unable to reach her.

"Undyne!"

"Your our real enemy..."

"Come on Undyne! I thought you were strong! Do you remember what Papyrus told you? Your eye patch is cooler than my old one! Eleven out of ten!"

"Eleven... out of..."

Spears of blue materialize on all sides of me and so does a wall made of see through blue. I grab ahold of a part of the wall just in time as spears begun hitting it from the four sides of me, it's like a video game. As the last of the spears are destroyed the wall evaporates and the black void returns to it's previous state.

"The humans trapped us down here..."

"What about Alphys!?! Who will she watch anime with? Who will protect her!?!"

"Al... Alphys?"

Another flash appears, and as it fades so does the blur infront of Undyne's face.

"Come on Duska! You can win! Punch it as hard as you can!"

She fades away as Asriel reappears infront of me. Something's changed inside him, I can feel it. Another group of lightning begin hitting the area surrounding me and once again I begin dodging. Just as I think that it's over a massive pain shoots through my body, a massive electrical current. It stops and I collapse to my knees, but i'm not down yet. Again I reach out towards Asriel, bringing out Alphys but like Undyne her face is hidden by blurriness.

"You hate me, don't you?"

"No Alphys! No one hates you! Your awesome in every way! Your kind, caring and so smart! Your knowledge on anime is impressive, if I made of list of all I know you'd still outshine me!"

A noise is made above me and I look up to see a bomb falls alongside a wall.

"SERIOUSLY!?!"

My left hand glows green and something inside me tells me to point it up at the bomb. A blast of yellow comes from me, it destroys the bomb and the area below it. Several more come after it but I do the same for each and I come out unscathed.

"I've got to keep lying..."

"You don't have to lie Alphys! Undyne will listen to everything you say! Then probably make you do laps around the yard, but she believes it will make you feel better about yourself! Come back for her please!"

"Un... dyne..."

I smile as the bluriness disappears from her face, revealing the shy smile of hers.

"Y-you believe in y-yourself too Duska! I'm th-there for you!"

Asriel once again appears before me, this time lightning never comes and instead there's colorful bullets that come from his hands. They arch towards me but i'm able to roll away just before they hit me and instead they evaporate once i'm out of their range.

"JUST DIE!"

"NEVER!"

Reaching inside him I see both Asgore and Toriel standing their with the same bluriness.

"This is for your own good."

"I'm sorry about this."

"Come on Toriel! How about you teach me how to make pie just like you promised? I wouldn't mind which type, i'm not picky! And Asgore could make tea to go with it! I love how you make them!"

"Promise..."

"Make..."

Circles of fire begin quickly coming towards me, a gap between each wave. I run through each gap before the fire is able to burn me, almost tripping over my own feet a few times.

"No one will leave again..."

"This is my duty..."

"You have so many children relying on you, you can't give up on them! Your a teacher, what kind of rolemodel would you be if you gave up? And Asgore, sure Toriel may no longer love you but since you're on the surface now, you could find someone new!"

"Role...model... You can do this child. Your one of the nicest humans I know!"

"Lo...ve... I am happy that you had never fallen down into the Underground. I would have lost a great friend."

Before i'm able to recover from the black void, i'm hit by one of Asriel's swords. The force throws me into the furthest wall and I feel blood as it runs down my face.

"You are nearly dead! Why won't you die!?!"

"Because... I don't listen to bullies. Nor murderers."

I stand and reach towards Asriel before he throws another attack at me. The familiar figure of a tall skeleton stands beside a striped shirt kid, Frisk. Unlike the other times, Papyrus begins throwing bones at me before talking. I dodge between them as I watch Frisk just stand there. The last of the bones he throws at me is impassible and blue, I stop and let it pass through me just as Pap once told me.

"I MUST CAPTURE A HUMAN!"

"Everyone wants to hurt me..."

"Papyrus, you did better than capture a human! You've made friends with so many, including me! I wouldn't be able to survive a week without your speghetti! And Frisk, they're all just as scared as you are. All you need to do is show them your kindness."

"FRIENDS..."

"Scared..."

More bones are thrown at me, they come from all directions. I dodge all that come towards me. Once they disappear a bowl full of speghetti is thrown at me but drops right at my feet, destroyed.

"Come on Pap! You can't give up! You never have before, why would you now!?! Frisk, your the monsters Communications Ambassador and your a kid! Your an inspiration to both humans and monsters! Your showing them bravery!"

"HU...MAN... DO NOT WORRY! THE GREAT PAPYRUS WILL CREATE SPEGHETTI AFTER YOUR VICTORY!"

"Brav...ery... Um... you have to bring out the real Asriel. I know you can do it."

The two disappear and I quickly dodge to the left as a sword threatens to chop me in half. I look up at Asriel and see that his appearance has changed, he now has black wings that shine dull colors as they move. He looks stronger and I don't want to try out if his attacks are too.

"You will fail."

"No. I won't allow myself to."

"The last won't be as easy than the rest."

"I don't care. I will rescue all of them."

For the last time I reach out to Asriel and I see Sans standing there. My chest gets tighter as I begin to see tears drop past the blur that's not allowing me to see his face.

"just give up. i did."

"Give up? You may be lazy but i've never seen you give up on anything!"

I get myself ready for bones to start flying at me but instead the giant head of a beast materilizes behind him.

"Sans!?! What is that!?!"

I'm hit with a large amount of energy which comes from the massive head, the feeling of death feels imminent as it stops.

"don't reset. no more resets. please no more... no more duska."

"Reset? Sans, if I ever understand what you mean I will try my hardest to make sure that there's no more resets. Without you, my life would still be lonely and boring but instead I have Papyrus and you pushing me through each day. You couldn't have known that Liam would've come that day but you were there when I needed you most. Don't give up Sans! Because I won't give up on you!"

"give... up... no..."

"You care so much about your brother, he may do something stupid if you give up! He relies on you, he loves you Sans! And you love him back! God, I LOVE YOU!"

"love..."

The beast head returns by his side. I run towards it and jump as soon as releases it's blue energy. I land on top of it and wrestle it until it fades away. I drop to the ground heavily, my breath is heavy and i'm wheezing loudly but I make sure not to show weakness.

"Sans! I know that it was Papyrus' idea to take me to the Underground. You still need to do your part of the bet!"

"... bet?"

The blur disappears and shows the smiling face of Sans. I smile and wave, he returns it with his smile growing wider.

"hey kid, thanks."

"It's no problem."

I feel a tear fall from my cheek but I don't use my remaining energy to wipe it away, my arms and legs are extrmely tired.

"did i... hurt ya kid?"

"Not your fault Sans. Don't you dare blame yourself."

"heh... too late."

"Sans I-"

"you can beat this guy, i know you can."

"I don't want to lose whom i've recently gained... what if I-"

"you won't. just do as frisk said and you'll win."

Before another word is said Asriel reapears infront of me, a large smirk on his face.

"You only have one HP left. You will die!"

"How many times do I have to tell you!?! I will. Not. LOSE!"

Bullets once again fly from his hands and once again I dodge them, this time not getting hit. My body aches and cramps from the movements but I continue to fight. Every few seconds after an attack, another comes for me. Time disappears as my mind only focuses not on survival but on my friends.

"You have so much... determination... too bad that alone cannot help you..."

I know what I have to do. I don't know anything about Asriel, except that he too has determination. My magic is apart of me, it is something that I could never get rid of and so i'll finally find a use for it.

"It's a beautiful day outside..."

"What?"

Singing always made my left hand tingle which tells me just before the wave of magic comes. It helps me become concentrated, the words always help me during school.

"Birds are singing, flowers are blooming."

"HA HA HA! I've broken your mind!"

It may be a little cliche, fighting someone while singing... but i've written songs ever since I could understand English.

"On days like these, weeds like you..."

And I had once sung a song to distract some bullies, maybe it would work now?

"Should be growing straight to hell."
