After Darren finished eating he goes to his room and grabs his backpack before going to the front door, as he goes there he bumps into Jax "Oh, hi!" Jax smiles and waves.

Darren stays silent for a few seconds "Hello." He said, "I'm Jax! What's your name?" "Darren." Jax smiles as his eyes lit up happily "That's a cool name!" Darren's eyes soften a bit "Thanks..." Suddenly they heard Otis yell "Come on kids! Time to go!" Jax yelled back "We're coming!" They put their shoes on and go out to the van where the rest of the kids and Otis were piling into.

They get in the back as Darren gets the right side seat and Jax gets in the middle in between Darren and Casper as the van soon left the house. As they drive Jax talks about everything he can think of to Darren who is looking out the window with his headphones on. Casper looks over and thought to himself 'I don't think he's paying attention to him.' But in reality Darren isn't listening to music but is instead listening to Jax talk with that rare smile on the inside back 'Why am I smiling twice today? I rarely even smile once.' Darren questioned to himself.

Soon they got to the high school as all the kids including Jax and Casper get out since the middle school is down the street. "Bye kids, have fun at school!" Otis smiles as all the kids besides Darren say goodbye too before Otis drives away. As all the other kids in high school walk into the school Jax looks over at Darren and smiles "Bye Darren, have a good first day!" He waves and walks away with Casper. "Bye." Darren said before looking up at the high school and sighs 'Here we go again.' He thought to himself and walks in.
