Silence spun

like a whirlpool

as he entered the room

with nothing but

a tattered soul

and an exhausted

yet determined face.

A face that he was

tired of showing

to the world

yet did so

to fit in

and not because

he wanted to.

His shoulders felt

as if made of lead

heavy and brittle

yet still had

the delicate touch

of a boy in puberty

with lots of responsibility.

The camera captured

moving reality

but what about

the practicality

that forced him to

face the real world

and its evil norms.

Norms that made him

hate his life

more than anything

made him take

a decision

that would change

everything.

The room now

stood testimony

to his thoughts

and feelings

that no one

cared about

just what he wanted.

Standing on

the window sill

he made a tutorial

on how to suicide

because no one

showed him

the guide to life.

And so he jumped

and let go his soul

which was now free

to roam as it wanted to

without any restrictions

or expectations

perfect just as he wanted.

A/N : This poem is based on the recent suicide case that happened in Mumbai where a young boy jumped to his death. He was suffering from depression and had taken this drastic step while streaming it live on a social media site.
