One step ahead and two steps back

That's what I do when my confidence lag.

What should I do when people stare?

They don't understand the meaning of space, I swear.

Out on the road where the sky is grey,

So many dogs with their friends stray,

I say nothing when they bark,

Because it's dark.

So dark that eyes are blind,

The running humankind can't see the monsters lurking behind.

I stay mum-

Because that's how we function.

They worship me as mother

With kumkum and diya- a carnival.

And the next day, they dismiss me like any other animal.

Animal that I am,

But everything else is a scam.

One day I am the Holy Cow,

And the other day a tool of hypocrisy.

Holy Cow!

You fight in my name to satiate your desire,

And in process break the secular ceasefire.

Holy Cow!

I am just a cow and I have a Moo point.

But, that's the point.

Just a Moo point.
