52...I'm Sure It's Nothing.
~Jada's POV~
-The next day-
I get up and get ready for the day and realize that none of the kids are up yet.
After I'm ready, I go into Jedell's room and wake her up then go to wake up Rylee and Tommy.
I walk into Rylee's room and tear up at the cute sight I see. Tommy is laying on his side with his back to the wall and he has his arms wrapped around Rylee protectively while she's all curled up against his chest, sleeping peacefully. It reminds me of myself and Michael when we were teenagers, cuddling together. I don't want to wake them up because they look so adorable but I have to wake them up and bring them to Neverland.
I walk over to the bed and shake both of them lightly to attempt to wake them up.
"Huh?" Rylee yawns as Tommy rubs his eyes tiredly.
"It's time to wake up, sleepyheads!" I giggle.
"Mom, 5 more minutes." She groans and snuggles up closer to Tommy.
"Come on, you have to go to your father's so he can meet Tommy again." I say and she sighs.
"Okay, fine!" She, once again, groans as she lazily gets out of bed.
"Good morning, Ms. Smith." Tommy yawns.
"What did you call me?" I giggle.
"I called you Ms. Smith. Y'know, because since you're divorced I didn't think you'd like to be called Ms. Jackson so I called you by your maiden name." He shrugs.
"Well I appreciate the thought, Tommy. Thank you. You're a very nice and well-mannered boy. I've gotta say, I'm impressed by your parents. They raised you well. Never thought that would happen judging by how they were in high school. But they raised a very kind boy." I smile.
"Thank you." He smiles back.
"Okay, kids. Get ready. We're leaving right after breakfast." I say and leave the room to go downstairs.
When I get downstairs, I see Jedell already sitting at the table, doing homework.
"Hey, sweetheart. How was your sleep?" I smile.
"It was alright. Did you hear the two love birds last night?" She asks and I frown.
"No. What did they do? Please tell me they didn't do...'it'." I sigh.
"No, they didn't do that. They were expressing their feelings to each other and acting all lovey and everything." She rolls her eyes.
"Oh, okay. What's wrong with that?" I ask.
"Well, it's fine that they know how they feel about each other but ever since they got together, I've been losing my sister." She sighs.
"What do you mean?" I frown as I pour myself a cup of coffee.
"Remember when Rylee and I used to be like, inseparable?" She asks and I nod.
"Yeah. It was so hard to keep you both apart." I laugh.
"Well, ever since she started dating Tommy, she hasn't been talking to me or hanging around with me as much anymore. She's too 'deep in love' with her boyfriend and now I'm invisible to her and when I am visible to her, we just fight." She sighs.
"Aww, Jedell. You aren't invisible to her. You're her twin sister. She loves you so much but she has a boyfriend who she's gonna pay a lot of attention to. You'll understand when you get a boyfriend." I say and she sighs.
"If that even happens."
"Listen, Jedell. I don't wanna have the same conversation with you as yesterday. You will find someone. I promise." I say as I start making waffles for breakfast.
"Well, I am kinda interested in someone but I don't wanna risk ruining the friendship he and I have." She says.
"Ooh. You never told be that! Who is it? It's Joshua isn't it!" I squeal.
"Moooom stop!" She blushes.
"Oh my god, it is! You're blushing! You so like him!" I squeal and she blushes more.
"Who does she like?" Rylee asks as she and Tommy enter the room.
"Nobody.." Jedell mumbles.
"Come on, tell me!" Rylee whines.
"It's someone she's close with." I hint.
"It's Josh?" Tommy asks and Jedell blushes again.
"Oh my gosh, you like Josh! I'm gonna tell him." Rylee squeals.
"No! Don't you dare tell him!!" Jedell shouts.
"Fine, I won't." Rylee says, rolling her eyes.
"So, Rylee and Tommy. It's December and the Christmas dance is coming up at your school. Are you two going?" I ask.
"Oh, you know it!" Rylee giggles and smiles at Tommy as I set all the plates on the table.
"Oh, Jedell! Maybe Joshua will ask you to the dance!" I smirk, widening my eyebrows.
"I really doubt that." Jedell laughs.
"Well, ya never know." I shrug.
We all eat breakfast and I drop the kids off at Neverland.
"Hey, girls! I missed you so much!" Michael says to them as they get out of the limo.
"We missed you too, Dad." They giggle.
"And who is this young man? You must be the famous Tommy I'm always hearing about!" He says to Tommy and winks at Rylee.
"Yes I am, sir. It's so great to finally meet you, Mr. Jackson. I'm a huge fan of yours and I really really like your daughter." Tommy says as he shakes Michael's hand.
"Oh, you don't have to call me Mr Jackson. You can call me Michael." He smiles and Tommy nods.
"You know who's son he is, Michael? He's Charlie and Nicki's son." I say and his eyes widen.
"Oh my gosh what a coincidence! I haven't seen you since you were just a baby!" Michael chuckles to Tommy and Tommy just smiles awkwardly.
All the kids go inside and now it's just me and Michael outside.
"Well, I better go." I say, walking back to the limo.
"Wait, Jada. I just wanna say, I'm sorry about the other day and I'm glad you're feeling better." He says.
"Thanks for the apology." I mumble and try to get in the limo.
"Jada. Look at me." He says and I look at him, trying not to cry.
"I mean it, Jada. I am sorry. If you wanna talk about anything that's bothering you, you can come to me." He says and I nod.
"Thanks, Michael. I should go. See ya." I whisper and hop in the limo.
~Michael's POV~
I watch as the limo drives off and I sigh before walking into the main house.
"So, girls. Did you find out why your mom was crying so much the other day?" I ask and they suddenly seem nervous and fidgety.
"Uh..stress! That's what it was. Stress. She has a lot going on." Rylee stutters and I just look at her, unconvinced.
Something tells me they're not telling the truth. They're so fidgety and stuttery. Something is going on with Jada and I just hope she's okay. I can't help but wonder what it is she's keeping from me. I know the girls know but I can tell that she made them keep it a secret from me.
Whatever it is, I'm sure it's nothing.
