Luke's point of view

The monsters on the 59th street bridge were nearly gone, those that remained were retreating. Jason Grace who was leading us had told us to head back and get some rest. but I wasn't quite ready to do that yet, I couldn't help but wonder where my father had gone. suddenly I realized that I could still hear the sound of weapons clashing even though the battle on the bridge had ended. based on where the sound was coming from  I turned and looked over the side of the bridge.

What I saw answered two of my questions, in front of me standing on the water were my father, Grandfather, and a giant that was taller than both of them at their full godly height. I knew that they would need a demigod's help to defeat the giant so I did something that I suppose was rather reckless, but at the time it seemed like the logical thing to do.

I climbed onto the side of the bridge, and I jumped off. I know you were probably wondering what in Hades I was doing. I thought that it would take too long to get to them if I walked to the end of the bridge on foot, and then used the water to reach my dad and grandfather. As I got closer to the water used my powers to create a wave below me, and I landed on that.

I used it to head toward my father, grandfather, and the giant. I think my dad noticed me as I got closer but the others hadn't. I stopped moving and took out my bow. I began firing arrows at the giant, that was kind of difficult since I had to shoot while still keeping the water beneath me under control. After he was hit by a few the giant began looking around trying to find the source of the arrows. I stopped shooting when it looked like my dad was going to attack the giant with his sword.

My dad moved forward aiming a hit at the giant's chest. The giant wasn't expecting the attack so he didn't block it in time. My father's sword sunk into the giant's chest killing him. as that was going on I began to head back to where the battle had started from. When my dad and grandfather reached me we spoke for a minute before my dad joked, "I thought you were my son, not Zeus's.

I just stared at him completely confused. I could tell he was joking,but I didn't get the joke. My grandfather on the other hand was laughing his head off.

"What's so funny?" I asked still totally confused.

When my grandfather explianed what my dad had meant I couldn't help but blush a bit. Apparently Zeus is rather dramatic. And my dad was joking about my rather dramatic entrance. Shortly after that my grandfather left for the meeting to discuss how the battles had gone. Before we left my dad asked, "Are you alright?"

I replied, "I'm kind of tired, but other than that I'm Okay."

I hadn't noticed it at first, but I noticed that my dad hadn't escaped the battle with the giant unscathed. He had a cut on his leg that looked to have stopped bleeding, but it had left his pant leg stained with his immortal ichor. He ate a piece of ambrosia before teleporting us to the meeting.
