Sunday night, a small brunette was working the night shift at Drew's Bar and Grill on the east side of town. The grill was empty and she was about to close down for the night when Roman Reigns walked in wearing a black hoodie. He sat down at the bar looking rather distressed. The girl gave Roman a few curious glances. 

"You lost? She asked.

Roman looked up at her, "Excuse me?"

"People like you aren't usually on this side of town, especially this late at night." The girl said. 

Roman furrowed his eyebrows 

"You now who I am?" Roman asked. 

"Of course I do, your family owns half the city." She said with a little bit of disdain.

Roman glanced at her name tag that read, "April." She looked at Roman again, this time noticing the cuts on his knuckles. He could see that she was beginning to get curious so he pulled out his wallet, laying five one hundred dollar bills on the table. 

"I was never here." Roman told her before putting his hood up and leaving the grill.

Monday morning, Alexa made her way to bathroom between her and Kenny's room. She was still half asleep as she opened the bathroom door. 

"Whoa!" Miz yelled, half naked, as he covered himself with a towel.

Alexa froze in shock for a moment. 

"Oh god, please tell me I'm dreaming." Alexa accidentally said out loud. 

Miz let out a small laugh. 

"Is this a normal image in your dreams?" Miz asked with a smug look on his face.

Alexa's eyes widened when she realized this was in fact not a dream. She turned to rush out the door but in a panic, she ran into the wall instead. 

"Ow!" Alexa shouted. 

"Are you okay? Mike asked as took a step forward 

Alexa shook off the pain and darted out of the bathroom then back to her bedroom. Mike laughed as he heard her bedroom door lock. 

Becky was walking down the hall with Kota and Dean when they passed by Kenny and his friends. Seth was careful not to look at Becky as she passed by, knowing that Kenny would put the pieces together. Sasha on the other hand, couldn't help but shoot Becky a small smile. Cody was too busy giving Kota a threatening look to even notice his girlfriend checking out Becky. Miz seemed to be the only one laughing as Alexa kept her eyes glued to the ground, clearly still embarassed about their bathroom run-in that morning.

Carmella and Renee walked down the hallway together, arm and arm when Dean and Renee locked eyes. 

"Hey there." Dean greeted her.

Carmella rolled her eyes as Renee let out a soft smile.

"Ew." Carmella said as she walked off. 

Renee and Dean laughed to themselves for a moment. 

"So I was wondering.. Maybe you wanna hang out tonight?" Dean asked. 

Renee smiled back at him.

"Are you asking me out?" Renee asked. 

"That depends, is it a yes? Because if not I'm totally not asking you out." Dean joked, getting a laugh out of Renee.

"Yeah, I'd love to." Renee told him.

Seth hadn't even noticed Renee and Dean's conversation. He was too busy reading a text from Becky. 

"Nice poker face. See you tonight ;)"

Carmella had made her way over to the group. She glanced over at Renee and Dean, feeling a little jealous of how easily things seemed to go with them. Things had never been that easy between her and Roman. 

Suddenly, Roman appeared down the hallway. Carmella looked over as he approached. 

"Where have you been? I've been texting you all morning." Carmella told him. 

That's when everyone headed to class. No one really felt like sticking around for another arguement between the two of them.

"Were you with her?" Carmella asked as Roman tried to get his books from his locker.

"What? No." Roman said impatiently.

"Then where were you?" Carmella asked. 

Roman looked at Carmella and shook his head before walking away. She stood there for a moment and tried to hide her tears. 

A few moments later everyone was talking among themselves in first period as they waited for the bell. Of course Becky, Dean, Alexa and Kota were all sitting together on the right side of the room, near the windows. On the left of the room, Seth and Renee were sitting closer to the front near Maryse and Miz. Cody, Sasha, Roman and Carmella were just behind them, a little closer to the back. Suddenly, everyone's phones buzzed. 

"So many secrets.. You're all making this far too easy for me. I could just destroy you all right now but I think I'll have some fun with this first. Stand by, I've got some killer news coming soon."

Everyone looked around the room for a moment, trying not to look too anxious. They were all hiding something and no one could risk those secrets coming out. Everyone's stomach's dropped when their phone's buzzed again.

"The new girl seems to have came to town with plenty of secrets of her own. Now that she's here she's only getting herself into more trouble. Is anyone curious as to why she's suddenly getting prefiential treatment from Chancelor Banks? I wonder what she has over him? I know two people in particular who might be a little disappointed to know what you've been keeping from them."

Everyone in the room looked over at Becky, including Seth and Sasha. That's when someone new walked into the classroom. It took everyone a moment to notice her but heads kept turning in her direction. Becky, Alexa, Kota and Dean all looked at the same time. She was a small brunette with her hair falling down to her back. The school uniform seemed to be a little uncomfortable for her. She held her books in her hand and fixed her glasses. The next to set sight on the new girl was Seth, Renee, Miz and Maryse. Soon after was when Cody, Sasha and Carmella looked over. That's when Roman turned to see what had gotten everyone's attention. It was the girl from the grill the night before. April scanned the room with caution, not liking the attention she was getting. It was then that she locked eyes with Roman and froze. Roman himself wasn't taking his eyes off of her. It was obvious to the entire room that they recognized each other from somewhere. Carmella looked back at Roman with frustration, assuming he had slept with her. 

"Ms. Mendez, you can take your seat now." Mr. Wheeler told her. 

It took April a moment to snap out of her gaze with Roman. She looked down at the ground shyfully before making her way to an empty seat in the back of the room. As she passed by, Roman gave her another glance. 

That afternoon during lunch, Cody was talking with Mr. Wheeler about his progress in class.

"So what are you saying?" Cody asked as he looked at the D he had received on his English paper. 

"You need to get at least an A on our next essay exam or you'll be failing come first quarter." Mr. Wheeler told him. 

"An A?! Are you kidding me? I got a D on this one and you think I'm suddenly going to get an A?" Cody asked in frustration. 

"I suggest getting a tutor, it could really help." Mr. Wheeler said. 

Cody let out a scoff and shook his head. 

"A tutor?" Cody asked.

 "If you're still expecting to go to Yale next year then getting a tutor is your only option." Mr. Wheeler spoke truthfully. 

Cody felt a sense of anxiety come over him when he realized how badly he needed to fix this. 

In the cafeteria, Kenny was sitting with his friends as usual while Kota sat with his. It hadn't been long since their breakup and Kenny was having trouble letting go. He looked up from his table and glanced over at his first love as he laughed at something Becky and Dean were joking about. Kota finally got up and dumped his tray. Kenny felt the urge to get up and run after him but he couldn't. For whatever reason, he was stopping himself from going after the one thing he wanted. 

Kota grabbed his things and went straight to the library. Cody was on his way back to the cafeteria after his worrisome conversation with Mr. Wheeler. He slowed down when he passed by the library. Kota was inside, looking through the historical fiction section. Cody watched for a moment, thinking over his next move. With a bit of hesitance, he made his way into the library. Cody walked to the historical fiction section and approached Kota with caution. Kota looked over when he saw someone out of the corner of his eyes.

"If you're going to beat me up the library isn't the place to do it." Kota told him. 

"I disagree, I happen to think that the library is the perfect place for a proper ass kicking."  Cody said without thinking.

Kota kept a serious look on his face.

"Look.. that's not.. that's not why I'm here." Cody said with reluctance.

Kota looked at him with confuion. 

"You're doing pretty good in Mr. Wheeler's english class right?" Cody asked descretely. 

Kota gave a defensive look. 

"Good? I'm doing amazing." He corrected him. 

Cody paused for a moment and looked deep into Kota's eyes.

"You have to tutor me." Cody told him. 

Kota couldn't help but laugh. 

"I'm serious, I have to get an A on this next exam or-." Cody began to explain. 

"This is a joking right?" Kota asked. 

Cody began to get frustrated. Kota furrowed his eyebrows in confusion when he realized Cody was being serious. 

"You really think I would come to you of all people if I did't really need help?" Cody asked. 

"Oh trust me, I know you need help." Kota joked. 

Cody felt a momentary sharp pain in his chest.

"Forget it." Cody said shamefully before walking away. 

Kota watched him make his way through the shelves of books. To his surprise, Cody seemed to have been sincere in needing help. 

After school, Roman was waiting anxiously across the hall from the chancelors office. He tired to look down at his phone, hoping to make himself look busy. 

"April Mendez, we are honored to have you here at Fitzgerald Prep. With your bright mind  and the hard work and dedication you've displayed to your academics at Eastside high, I believe you are going to extrordinary places. We are very pleased to have you here and hope to help in furthering your education in the right direction." Chancelor Banks said as he shook April's hand. 

"Thank you Chancelor." April said before grabbing her bag and walking herself out of his office. 

April stopped for a moment and took a deep breath before returning to the hallway. Roman looked up from his phone and made eye contact with April. She froze for a moment before trying to hurry away.

"Hey!" Roman shouted discretely as he chased after her.

April kept her head down as he approached.

"I know you.. from last night." Roman told her. "Are you following me?" 

April looked up at him with caution. 

"I didn't see you last night, remember?" April asked. 

Roman furrowed his eyebrows. "Right..."

"Can I go now?" April asked. 

Roman watched her for a moment with a bit of curiosity. He finally nodded in approval. April tightened the grip on her backpack and hurried away.
