Justin's POV

I wake up at 7am in the hospital chair next Ari's bed I've barley slept.
Ari came out of surgery at 11:30pm, the doctor said it went okay and that she'll sleep off the her anesthesia. I've been waking up every hour to check on her but she's just been sleeping soundly I just wish she would wake so I can hold her

There's a quiet knock at the door as it opens I get up as the nurse comes in

Nurse *whispers*: Hi I'm just coming to check on her, is it okay if you leave the room a second I'll be 5 mins

I nod and walk out slowly, I don't want to leave her alone for one second but I know I've gotta let them do their job

Ari's POV

I start to wake up, everything's a little hazy and I feel sore. I open my eyes a little more and they get into focus. I look at the chair where I thought Justin would be then at the nurse.

Nurse *soft voice*: Good morning Ariana how do you feel?

Me*whispering*: Uh.. sore where's Justin?

Nurse: You will, you've had a major surgery I'll get you some pain killers if you want

Me: Yea please, where's Justin?

Nurse: He's outside, don't worry I'll let him know you're awake

Me: No don't, I wanna prank him

Nurse: Okay, I just need to take your temperature and then I'm done

The nurse take my temperature and leaves, I quickly close my eyes like I'm still sleeping. I hear Justin come in, he sighs and gets ahold of my hand. I wanted to hold his but it would ruin my prank, he gently strokes my hand with his thumb

Justin: I love you so much Ariana

I hear him sniff

Justin: I-I don't know what I'd do if I ever lost you, you're literally my world. I've never loved someone as much as I love you. You make my heart smile everyday, I'm a better person when I'm around you baby

He sniffs again

Justin: A-and um my life's changed since I met you and I wish you were awake so you knew how much you mean to me... You're a gift from God and I'll never be able to repay him, it's broke my heart to see you in so much pain...meeting you was fate but falling in love with you had no control over... please wake up Ari, please

I hear him start to breakdown I get ahold of his hand and slowly open my eyes he looks up at me with red eyes and tears streaming down his cheeks

Justin: Baby? Baby! Oh my gosh you're awake!

Me: Yeah! Surprise baby!

Justin breaks down even more

Me: Awwh baby! Come here

He sits on the bed and leans into my chest and sobs in my arms

Me: What's wrong?

Justin: I- I love you so much

He cries I hold him close

Justin: I- I was so worried about you! I never wanna lose you

Me: Awh baby I'm fine, a little sore but I'm fine, I heard what you said when you thought I was sleeping. I've never had someone love me as much as much as you do I love you so much

I start to get emotional with him

He sits up and looks at me with soaked cheeks.

Justin: What I said to you was true, meeting you has changed my life for the better I never want to live without you

Me: Awwh baby mine too, you never will okay because I never wanna live without you either

Justin smiles wide and wipes his tears. We kiss passionately, he gets on the bed next to me and we cuddle. My mom comes in

Mom: Good morning sweetie! Are you okay? Y'all both look like y'all have been crying

Me: Yeah we're okay

Mom: Good, I've just spoke to your doctor he says he just needs to do a few more checks and fit with your chest brace

Me: Chest brace?

Mom: Uh huh

Justin: You'll still look sexy baby, I want you no matter what

Mom: Uh not something a mom wants to hear

We giggle

Justin: Sorry ma'am

Mom: Anyways, you two seem lovey dovey have I missed something?

Me: No we just realized how much we love each other

Mom: Awwh y'all are so cute

Justin: Thanks

I blush

Mom: I'm so happy you've finally found a guy that makes you this happy and treats you the way you should be treated. You're an amazing guy Justin I can truly see that your heart is full of pure love. I don't even have to warn you not to hurt Ariana because I already know that you won't, I can see you're not that type of guy. Your parents have done an amazing job raising you and teaching you how to treat girls especially my girl the way you do.

Justin: Thank you so much ma'am I can't explain how much that means to me and I can't explain how much I love your daughter

Mom: Awwh you're very welcome and I've told you call me Joan

I start to cry again

Me: Awwh y'all are making me cry

My mom comes over and hugs us both

Mom: Welcome to the family Justin

We all smile, the doctor knocks and comes in we all break from the hug

Doc: Oh sorry I didn't mean to interrupt, how are you feeling Ariana?

Me: I'm okay just a little sore

Doc: Yea its supposed to, do you want to know what I did?

Me: Uhh I guess

Doc: I reattached your bones by using surgical titanium pins, I then covered the break with a surgical titanium plate to strengthen it

I look at him kinda worried

Me: I have metal in me?

He nods

Dr: Yeah so it might cause a problem in airport scanners

He laughs a little

Dr: Anyways, I was telling your mom earlier that I just need to check your temperature and fit you with your chest brace and then you'll be ready to go home

Me: Yay!

Dr: Is it okay to check your temperature now?

Me: Sure

Justin gets up and let's the doctor check my temperature

Dr: 98.6, perfect! As far as I'm concerned you're good to go home I'll get you a chest brace and sign you off, I'll also get you some pain killers to ease the pain

Me: Thank you!

Dr: Oh, and no...physical activity for a week or so

He looks at Justin, he smirks

Dr: I'm serious

Me: We I mean I won't?

Dr: Good, I'll be back with your brace

He leaves

He comes back in a few mins later with the brace, I get up slowly and go over to him, he puts it on me

Dr: How does it feel

Me: Uhh a little hard to breathe but okay

Dr: Okay, you only need to wear this during the day it's just a precaution

He writes something down

Dr: Okay Miss Grande I am happy for you to go home, take care of yourself

Me: Thank you doc

Dr: You're welcome

He looks at Justin

Dr: Look after her

Justin: I will

He smiles

Dr: I know you will, bye have a nice evening

He leaves

Mom: I'll get your medication, you get your stuff and I'll meet at the car

Me: Okay thanks mom

My mom walks out and Justin and gets my bag. We leave and walk to the car, my mom gets there a few mins later and we go home.

Mom: Honey, Justin and I have something to tell you

Me: Uhh what is it?

Mom: Well we've been talking

Me: Yeah?

Mom: And I've decided to let Justin stay here for awhile

Me: Oh my gosh mom are you serious!?

Justin: And we can stay in the same room and bed

Me: Are you serious!?

Mom: Yeah, you need each other and you need to be together

Justin: Surprise baby!

I go over to my mom and hug her tight

Me: Thank you so much! I love you so much mom

She hugs me back

Mom: You're welcome sweetheart, I'll give you two some space

She goes upstairs, I put my hand on Justin's cheek he puts his on my waist and pulls me close. We kiss deeply an passionately.

Justin*in my ear*: I can't wait to hold you in my arms every night

I smirk and kiss him softly again. How did I get a guy as amazing as Justin.
