Steve + Bethany Wedding
Smoothing out the skirt of her wedding dress Bethany sighed lightly and stared at herself in the full length mirror before her. She had never really thought about a wedding in her future, it had never really for in the grand scheme of her life, before and after being taken in by the Avengers.
Now, here she was standing in a beautiful wedding dress getting ready to walk down the aisle in a pretty, olden church. "You look amazing." A voice came from the door, soon followed by the click as the door closed once more. Bethany sighed and watched Deanna walk up behind her in the reflection of the mirror.
Moments later the blonde was stood beside the bride, her dark blue bridesmaid dress swaying gently around her. "You know considering you were the one adamant you weren't getting married you're here okay." Deanna giggled, a bright smile on her face.
"I know." The brunette agreed with a laugh before casting her gaze out of the window and to the bright city sky. "I just wish my family was here to see it." Deanna hummed slightly before wrapping her best friend up in a rare hug.
"I'm sure Steve feels the same." Deanna murmured. "But don't forget they're always with you even if it's not physically. You have us crazy lot as your physical family, at least have something sane to hold onto."
"When did you become so inspirational?" Bethany asked, pulling away and grinning slightly.
"When I gave Steve the exact same talk about an hour ago when I found him alone on the roof." The girl replied with a shrug. "Now come on, we have a wedding to get started." Handing the bride her flowers the Maid of Honour skipped out of the room with a smile, closely followed by her chuckling friend.

"Deanna I can't do this." Bethany whispered, her eyes flickering all over the darkened corridor as they girls waited for their cue to begin the ceremony.
"You can do this." Natasha replied before the younger assassin could speak. "You can marry Steve."
"Everyone's going to be staring." Miss Lloyd replied, her head bowed slightly.
"If by everyone you mean Steve, the guys, us, Fury and a few S.H.E.I.L.D agents then yes everyone's going to be staring." Sofia replied with a small smile.
"At least you don't have to try and impress the King of another realm." Jane said.
"Are you trying to comfort her or?" Pepper asked the scientist with a raised eyebrow. Jane gave a small shrug, causing the group to laugh lightly.
"Close your eyes for a moment and breath." Deanna ordered softly. "You can do this, you will do this. Before you know it you'll be Mrs Rodgers. Ready?" Bethany gave a reluctant nod. "Then let's go."
~~~~~~~
"Congrats you're married!" Deanna exclaimed, jumping on the two newly weds as they entered the reception later that afternoon. Everything was decorated red, white and blue, causing the couple to roll their eyes for they should have known not to let Deanna and James help out.
"How does it feel to be a married man?" James asked, patting his friend on the back as Deanna dragged Bethany to the dance floor.
"No different." Steve replied honestly. "But I don't know why you're asking you're still single."
"That I am." He brunette nodded with a small smile. Steve's eyes moved to face the young pair on the dance floor, both of them laughing together with genuine smiles on their faces.
"Got your eye on anyone?" The blonde solider asked. James coughed slightly and turned his head towards the bar where Sam and Tony were sat. Steve's lips curled into a small smirk before her slapped his friends back. "Good luck." He chuckled, walking over to Miss Chalmers and the new Mrs Rodgers.
"Can I steal my bride away?"
"Aye Aye Captain!" Deanna saluted with a giggle before scampering off into the crowd of Agents. Bethany laughed after her friend before turning to her husband.
"Shall we dance?"
"We shall." Beth nodded, pulling Steve further into the dance floor.
