Deanna lay sprawled out on the sofa in the main living room of the Avengers tower, her legs dangling off the arm as she stared lazily at the TV. "Auntie De! Auntie De!" Several voices cried just before Deanna let out a gaps of pain as three figures jumped onto her and three came running up behind.

The small blonde chuckled as the six figures all arranged themselves so they were either sitting beside her or sitting directly on top of her. "Did you hear?" Eight year old Hunter asked, giggling happily.

"Uncle Steve took Auntie Beth on another date!" Eight year old Serenity-rose finished before the girl could reply.

"What's a date?" Six year old Danielle asked her siblings. Deanna smiled at the exchange while three year old Matilda, five year old Kyle and four year old Chloe all climbed over her.

"A date is some time for just Uncle Steve and Auntie Beth." Pepper explained as she walked into the room, two year old Olivia in her arms. "I think Uncle Steve took Auntie Beth to have a nice dinner alone."

"Dinner?" Kyle and Chloe questioned while Matilda simply looked up from playing with Deanna's hair.

"It's not time for dinner just yet." Jane chuckled as she, Thor, Clint, Natasha, Tony, Bruce, Sofia and James walked into the room. Instantly the children jumped off the small girl and ran towards their parents, giving Deanna a chance to sit up and breath without a problem.

Suddenly the elevator doors opened and Steve and Beth stepped out, both holding almost goofy grins on their faces. Deanna and James raised an eyebrow each at the couple but never uttered a word. "How did your date go?" Danielle asked innocently, walking over and gripping her 'Aunts' legs.

"It went fine thank you sweetheart." Bethany replied softly as she slipped her coat and shoes off. Deanna watched her friend closely, suspicion of her slight change in behaviour. After a moment the older girl noticed something sparkle on the brunettes left hand, causing her to smirk slightly.

"So..." The blonde drawled. "Anything exciting happen that you need to tell us about?"

"Not that we know of." Steve replied, glancing over to his partner who shook her head. "It was just a simple dinner." Deanna hummed and lay back down in the sofa, her head now resting on the arm and legs draped over James' legs since he had sat down after entering the room.

"Are you okay De?" Bethany asked, eyeing her friend who seemed to have fallen quiet.

"I'm fine you?" Was the instant reply. Nodding once Bethany walked over to one of the unoccupied sofas and sat down, Chloe crawling into her lap and sitting contently.

"What's going on?" Sofia asked, her eyes flicking between the two best friends and occasionally Steve.

"I believe the Captain and Angel have something to tell us." Deanna answered. "Do you not?"

"I don't like this side of you." Bethany spoke up, narrowing her eyes playfully at her friend. "What has gotten into you?"

"Nothing at all." The smaller female replied. "I'm just waiting for you big to break the news."

"What?" Clint asked, portraying everyone else's confusion.

"Oh you didn't get her pregnant before marriage did you Capsicle?" Tony asked from his place at the bar, Kyle sitting next to him on the wooden surface. Everyone but Steve and Beth held in their giggles, trying not to chock on air.

"Very funny Stark." Steve sighed. "No I did not get Beth pregnant."

"What does preg-" Natasha covered Danielle's mouth before she could finish her question, causing the smaller red head to frown in confusion at her Mothers actions.

"So what do you have to tell us?" Bruce asked, bring the attention back to the couple. Sighing they exchanged looks before Steve nodded once.

"We're," Beth began, her eyes flicking down in embarrassment. "We're engaged." The whole room went silent for a moment.

"What does engaged mean?"
