Ten years had already passed since Galbatorix was dethroned and had been defeated but Eragon had not stopped working.
In his opinion, more work had been placed on his shoulders even if his life and his blue-scaled dragon, Saphira, weren't in danger anymore since at the ten years of his stay in the mountain, he was able to build the dragonhold in the mountain for the Second Rise of Dragons and their Riders. It made him remember that his namesake was from the first dragon rider who was an elf. The difference now was that he's human but his body was changed by the elves to give him more strength and the old celebration healed a shade's curse that almost made him give up. It made him realize that it looked like it had always been his mission and fate to be the first dragon rider of a new peaceful dragon age.
Eragon Bromsson was the first free dragon rider after a hundred years after the fall of the ancient dragon riders while it took time for his half-brother, Murtagh, when he became a rider when a red dragon hatched for him to escape a tyrant like Galbatorix. Eragon smiled when the thought of his half-brother came to him. He's definitely going place to place and it had been rare for him to just choose to settle down and live in the mountain.
Meanwhile, he was happy to have also discovered that Arya became a dragon rider and even she's the queen of the elves, she didn't forget her responsibility to the Dragon Order. She had always brought enough tools and food for them, last of all, she annually visits the Dragon Academy he set up after having three younglings with whom were already full dragon riders. It was established five years ago and the academy was known to be located at the center of Mount Arngor
Defeating Galbatorix was his first long mission and adventure as a dragon rider. It was very strenuous but it had changed his life forever and while he was in Vroengard, it gave him realization that he didn't want to return to Palancar Valley when he was looking for his real name. He was now a very different person from when he was fifteen years old.
He had changed and it was not just from the physical appearance but also, the first fifteen years of his life was just the time he didn't know the deep secrets of his parents. He was just a child who was just innocent and didn't know the world.
He was a simple farmer but soon, he became a dragon rider, a Shadeslayer, and a Kingkiller. His childhood feels like it's been a long time ago already but the fighting against the king wasn't actually that long ago.
A war swooped once again in Ellesméra but with the help of Arya, they were easily winning against their enemies. He had also heard that the human empire that declared war also had a dragon rider.
It wasn't that long like his experience with fighting the Galbatorix since the emperor who declared war against Du Weldenvarden surrendered and accepted defeat weeks after the massive and destructive battle but still, he cannot help but worry for Arya. He wanted to fight and help her but the dragon riders with whom he trained alone in the mountains stopped him.
Two weeks passed by after the war ended, the three dragon riders that he had trained and sent to Ellesméra arrived in front of Eragon's hut.
The group before him was the first dragon riders after the war with Galbatorix. They're all now powerful dragon riders and their dragons were the same. Even so, the three young dragon riders admit that they need more training in speaking the ancient language. They knelt on one knee before him after dismounting from their dragons and moments later, they struck their swords on the ground.
Eragon was grateful and joyful to see his young apprentices unhurt. He was also able to observe that it also looked like they had enjoyed the battle. As their master, he knew he had to remind them that war was never a fun event and he had to repeat how dangerous it was.
"Galbatorix's first dragon died because of his pride," Eragon said to them as he hold the pommel of his sword while he carefully observe the dragons to inspect their progress. "I'm happy that you are all safe and you've used the training that I gave you but you should all not be blinded by the power you possess or your carelessness could may well be your end."
Rowan, daughter of Galvinir, is a twenty years old, human dragon rider, and with her was a silver dragon she named Argen. She was the first dragon rider who arrived at Mount Arngor. She was ten years old and a silver dragon hatched for her. "I want to apologize, master, and I vow not to feel too excited by the thought of war."
The two other dragon riders followed her example after that and they gestured through how elves respect those in higher rank than them.
Eragon sighed deeply after he remembered how painful it was for her parents to give Rowan to him. They let him take care of her while she was a mere ten years old but after seeing Galvinir, her father, who begged him to let her stay in the mountain in Mount Arngor, he accepted her. He saw her as a younger sister he trained to be a dragon rider than just his student.
Philip, another human dragon rider, was the second who arrived in the mountain but it was easier for him to come since he's a son of a Surdan Earl. He named the yellow dragon, Edemir.
The third dragon rider who arrived at the mountain to train with him was an elf named Eohorim. He named his dragon Crann. Crann's scales were green, too but his scales were darker than Firnen.
Eohorim was too proud of himself when he was just with Philip and Rowan in the beginning but as more dragon riders who were mostly elves, his pride hurt him. Soon, all of Eragon's students greeted him.
"Atra esterni ono thelduin."
"Atra du everinya ono varda."
Once again, his students spoke in return: "Un atra mor'ranr lifa unin hjarta onr."
There were also a few male Urgals and dwarves who arrived with their dragons too. The dragon riders who were dwarves relatively grew to four feet making them very different from their own clans but Eragon, the leader of the Dragon Order was what kept them united.
"Rest first today," Eragon ordered them. "The three of you don't need to go to the heart of the Academy today."
"Eragon-elda," Rowan began to speak. "I want to go back in the academy today, Ismira's looking forward in my return."
"Roran may still be in shock to know his daughter's a dragon rider," Eragon muttered. "We'll go together tomorrow. You are too tired, and the wind may be too strong to travel."
Rowan sighed as she began to leave. "I'll go to my tent, then."
"Hey!" Philip took her wrist and gripped it tightly. "We aren't yet dismissed."
"It's alright," Eragon told them. "You can all go back to your tents."
Eohorim bowed in respect for him before he left. As he mount his gray dragon, he left an angry glare at them. "Master Eragon scolded us! I've told you while we're on the way that both of you shouldn't have acted as if the war at my home's a playground!"
Eragon didn't choose to stop him and he just let him go as he was right by what he said, after all. Also, he wanted to make Queen Arya proud of him as he was the second elf after her to become a dragon rider. His intentions are pure but he hoped he can keep controlling his emotions better.
