You Got it all Wrong

"Hollypaw!" She could just barely hear the hissing from outside the apprentice den. "Hollypaw!" It came again, a bit louder this time.
"Mmm." She stretched and padded out into the cold dawn air. Foxwhisker was waiting there, "What's up?" She asked, her mew still groggy from her nights sleep.
"Come on, we've got dawn patrol." He flicked his tail for her to follow. Birchfeather and her apprentice Oakpaw were waiting in the clearing for them.
"Right!" She shook herself awake, and followed them.
"We're patrolling the BoulderClan side," Birchfeather was explaining, "They've been especially rowdy recently, so let's try to avoid a run in with them."
"Won't we be fine so long as we're on our side of the border?" Oakpaw asked with concern.
"Yes, of course we will, but there's no reason to go looking for trouble, even if we are in the right." Birchfeather explained.
"Can I check on Jayfeather before we leave?" Hollypaw asked shyly.
"Make it fast." Foxwhisker consented, and turned his head to see Amberleaf padding into camp with a yawn, she had been on guard last night.
"Of course." Hollypaw dipped her head and scurried of to the medicine den. She slowed herself down and than entered, quiet as a mouse, she creeped over to Jaypaw's nest. He was sleeping, and he looked so peaceful, she licked his head, and turned to leave.
"Ngh." Jaypaw shifted and she looked back at him over her shoulder.
"I'll see you later." She whispered, and then pelted off to where the patrol was waiting for her. Then the four of them set out towards BoulderClan.
Jaypaw started to scan her mind, but it was hard because all she was thinking about right now was training him, he dug a little deeper. 'Why was she such a push-over?'
"Got that?" Gorgepaw finished.
"Huh?" He snapped back to her.
"Jaypaw, were you even paying attention?" She scolded.
"Sorry, what were you saying?" He mewed apologetically.
"I was saying that you should never let your guard down in a fight, even if they act like they're defeated, until they are sent back yowling into the woods, they are still your target."
"Yeah okay, but how do I fight them, if they are my target, like can you teach me some moves." All she kept giving him was talks about how he should act during a fight, not what he should do.
"Jaypaw..."
"What?"
"Why do you want me to teach you so bad?" She asked looking up at him.
"Wh-what do you mean?"
"Well, you could have anyone teach you really, is that the only..." She stopped, "I just, never mind." She looked up like she was happy again. He saw through it though and decided to sift through her thoughts now. He let himself go into her mind, and immediately was confused with her emotional state. She was always so happy, but that's because she forced herself to be. He pushed past that, and looked for what she had just been talking about. 'Oh, the reason she's upset is because she thinks I specifically came to her the first time because I wanted to learn secrets about SandClan.' He inwardly scolded himself because he knew that in the beginning that was the only reason he continued to talk with her.
"You're thinking that the only reason I still come here is to use you." Jaypaw finally huffed out.
"What?!" She looked up in surprise, "H-how did you-?"
"Do you want to know why I want you to teach me how to fight?"
"Yes." She admitted, sitting and placing her tail over her legs, "I, I know you have a hard time asking for help, and you always seem like you have everything under control, so when you asked me for help... It seemed like maybe someone sent you here to ask for it. Like you were conspiring against SandClan, and using me as a go-between."
"As you know I'm blind," She flinched when he said that, but he kept going. "In my Clan, no one thinks that I can be a warrior, so Poppytail won't train me." Jaypaw admitted angrily, "And I guess the reason that I'm asking you this is because..." He couldn't believe what he was about to say, she was from another Clan, but he couldn't stop himself, "It's because I trust you, more than anyone, and I just want to be a warrior." He said, than he turned from her, to think, 'Why did I tell her all of that? It's really unlike me to be this way... Why does she make me so flustered and open? There's nothing special about her, she's just another she-cat.' He turned back to look at her, 'I guess I've been seeing her every night for almost a moon now... but still...'
"I'm sorry Jaypaw, I didn't know that. I guess since you can always see in our dreams, I never took into consideration how hard your real life must be." She sighed sorrowfully.
'Great!' He thought, 'Now she pities me, just like everybody else.' "I didn't tell you that to earn your sympathy," He mewed, trying to control his disappointment, and keep it out of his meow. "I don't want your apology."
"Jaypaw-" She stopped, "Can we just be friends like this always?"
"Huh?" He looked at her in surprise.
"Let's forget who comes from which Clan, and what the real world is like. I just want you to always be open with me like you were tonight. Not for the sake of either of our Clan's, but for the sake of our friendship." She looked genuinely happy again and he nodded.
"So long as you're open with me."
"Okay, I will be." She agreed.
"So about that..."
