~Kari’s p.o.v~

I walked with Fluffy and Shazza who took me to my room along with Flare who just sat on my shoulder

“Kari, you seem… um… different…” Fluffy looked at me a little concerned

“I feel like I something was ripped outta me... but I don’t know what…” I said in a low tone.

“Well cheer up!” Shazza encouraged. She looked at me with a kind smile… no one gave me a smile like that… ever….

“Oh. Here we are!” Fluffy said as we entered a room that was to be mine.“You like it?” I nodded and looked around. Shazza smiled.  

“Well, you get settled. When you’re done just go get Sly. He’s next door… Ok?” I nodded hiding a blush when I heard that Sly was next door

“Ok, thanks!” I smiled as they left . “Flare… this is awesome! I feel… accepted! Finally!” Flare smiled and I plopped face first in my new bed. “Meow!!!!! This is SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I squealed and I felt… felt happy! For the first time I REALLY felt happy to the core! I got up and really smiled this kind of surprised Flare. Well, because no one saw my REAL smile! EVER! I heard a small chuckle behind me. It was Sly leaning in my door way! (A/N she was facing the window beside her bed.) “S-Sly?!” I stuttered “what’s up? Need anything?” I tried to hide a small blush… was it small?... well, apparently I failed cause he chuckled

“You’re blushing!” my eyes widened

“A-AM NOT!!!” I refused to believe what he said was true.

"All right, whatever.” He showed a slight smile and came in “Everyone’s waitin’ to meet ya. Let’s go!” Sly held out his hand. His sky-blue eyes shimmered. I sighed.

“All right, I’m comin’!” I got off my new comfy bed and took his hand for a while. But when we were close I let go and just followed. Sly looked a bit sad when I did this, but I could tell he wasn’t trying to show it.

“Here we are,” he gestured me to go on. I did and saw a LOT of people!!!!

“WELCOME TO THE TEAM KARI!!!!!!” everyone shouted and my eyes widened.

“Wow! This is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me! Thanks!” I went and had fun at this welcoming party that was held for me! It was fun!!!  

~Sly’s p.o.v~

All I could do was smile as Kari had fun at her welcoming party… she deserved it! I mean with all she went through she REALLY needs this… I remember when I met her---  

~flash back~

It was a peaceful morning and Sly had just finished breakfast and was now taking a stroll around the lair. He soon saw this giant glowing tube thing that Boss Cass was keeping an eye on. It had water in it and something small was floating in the middle. He went to investigate.

“Boss Cass… what’s that?” the curious Tasmanian tiger approached the tube and peered in it  

“That, Sly is… err-um will be your new partner… she’s still in the development stage, so it’ll be a while before she’s out and about...” Boss Cass explained that what was inside was a creation that he and Karlos have been working on for some time and it is finally coming together. A living weapon he called it, something with tremendous power. But he didn’t know what powers it had so when Sly asked he said

“It’ll be determined when the time comes…” he looked a little smug when he thought of what powers this thing had.

“Boss Cass,” Sly started again “what are we gonna call her?” Boss Cass thought a while then it hit him

“We’ll call her Kari… Kari the cat… it’s going to help us conquer the world!” the monitor started bleeping and Boss Cass went running to it “is it time all ready?! SLY GO GET KARLOS IMEDATLY AND HURRY!!!!” Sly nodded and rushed off

~a while later~

Kari had submerged from the tub and took her first breath of air and she mewed a few times. Her white fur coat was still a little wet. Sly looked at her and gave a slight smile. She looked a little cute to be a weapon. He sighed and went off.

~end flash back~

Kari didn’t have parents and she was always treated as a weapon, a monster and a freak… I remember once when Boss Cass was scolding her for saving a life… he said

‘ALL YOU ARE IS A WEAPON AND NOTHING MORE!!! ALL YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH IN LIFE IS KILLING AND PAIN FOR OTHERS!!!! NOW GO KILL THAT DREDFUL THING OR ELSE I WILL!!!’ Kari was devastated… and after that day she seemed more and more controlled… But apparently when I left she was snapped out of it, but Boss Cass kept her, so he could ‘conquer the world’ and all that stuff! But now that Kari is here she seems happier

“HEY SLY COME ON!!! We’re playin ‘fruits basket’!! Hurry up!!” I heard Kari’s real laugh and saw her real smile. That made me smile

“All right, all right I’m comin!” I walked over and we played games for practically whole night!
