--A few days later--

"Reports are saying that the Avengers have been in some trouble with the country of Latveria. An explosion supposedly happened and casualties were at a high. The supposed victims who have "died" are Trevor Slattery, his army and Bucky Barnes, leader of the Avengers."

Natasha almost cried before she was called on to stage. There were many people attending the Avengers Ceremony where they would introduce a new member to the team. Every Avenger who was alive and on Earth were present, even T'Challa. They were also there to acknowledge the death of Bucky, who died in Latveria after setting off the explosives.

But Natasha didn't have time to think about that. She was called on stage and it was her time to talk. Strange had been thanking everyone for joining them, especially a few days after the destruction of New York. Everyone was gathered in Central Park. Natasha waved her hand as she went on stage.

"I would like to repeat the same words that Stephen Strange has said, thank you everyone for joining us today in this special event." Natasha cleared her voice, "You may know why you are here today and it is special... we'll be welcoming a new member to the Avengers. A few days ago our dear friend, Bucky Barnes, passed away after the incident in Latveria and we would like to extend our hands to the people of Latveria. We are sorry for destroying your property and the Avengers would like to donate $3,000,000 to fix your damages."

Her statement was followed by an applause from the crowd. She smiled but she couldn't hold the emotion of what happened a few days ago. But she continued regardless.

"Anyways, it's time to give you the real reason why you are here... and it's too introduce the newest member to the New Avengers. Welcoming on stage for the first time... Captain Marvel!" Natasha proclaimed as she landed on stage.

Everyone got onto their feet and laid out a long and loud applause for the New Avenger. Carol just stood on stage and waived her hand at all of the New Yorkers for the first time in her career. She initially thought the crowd would be hostile because of her unhuman-like abilities but they are reacting to it with positivity. Natasha let her take the mic and she did.

"Wow. Thank you everyone for being here and are actually excited to see me today." She smiled and the crowd then let another applause happen, "Keeping your positivity aside, I would like to talk about what I bring to the Avengers roster. You may think of me as a God because of my powers but I have emotions like every single on of you and that is my similarity to your heroes of Earth."

She looked at everyone who was watching her. They were all listening to her attentively, as she gave her speech.

"I also bring leadership after the death of the Avengers's former leader. I may not be like him, or act like him, or be as great him but I do know one thing... I am damn sure that I can handle myself. I shall lead this team with the best of my abilities and I hope that I can make Earth a better place."

--On the other side of the World--

"Alright, last question please and we will end with a small speech by Sam Wilson." The host said

"Mr. Wilson, how do you react with the sudden death of Bucky Barnes? What are your emotions?"

"Um..." Sam chuckled, "He was my friend and you can't take anything away from that. He was like Steve to me, we were always joking with each other and goofing around and that is what makes those moments memorable and worth the while. With his death, I am very depressed. I didn't know he would go down like that and he would be stronger than that but he was handling too much." Sam said, as he nodded and waited for the host to speak.

The notable people who were in the crowd were Wanda, Pietro, Hope and Scott. Instead of attending the Avengers Ceremony, they decided to listen to his press conference. The set-up was very much like Stark's when he announced he was Iron Man and it would be just that.

"Alright, we appreciate all of your questions and Mr. Wilson was very kind to answer all of the questions with respect and honesty. Now, we'll go on with his new speech." The host said, as she took a seat.

"Bucky Barnes was the leader of this young team. We were still developing this young core and we were so close to achieving it with him but his sudden death in Latveria has affected all of us in the same way. Even though I have let Captain Marvel, who is probably giving her speech in Central Park, take the role of a leader, I don't want Bucky's memory in vain. For that, I would like to honor him by announcing something... I am Captain America."

The whole crowd stood up and tried to start asking questions. The guards tried to hold them back but questions were over so Sam couldn't do anything. He and the other Avengers met up with him backstage to congratulate him. Everyone was about to enter the garage before Wanda approached him.

"Yeah, I'll catch with you later." Wanda told Pietro as she went to Sam. "Sam, I have something to say. It's very important for you to know it and I hope you don't tell it to Pietro."

"Of course, what is it, Wanda?" Sam asked as he took a bite on his burger.

"Remember how I told all of you that I have been eating a lot these past few weeks? Well... I am pregnant."

--One month later--

I am so sorry, Peggy Carter, for
   For all the missed moments you and I
Did not spend
I wish that I could make it up for you
Rewrite our history, do it all over again
But that was back in 1945, when I was
So blind to even notice you
But if I had the chance to do it again
I would spend all of my time
With you

Steve finished writing his book and stood up, closing his book. He let the wind hit his face as he looked around the field. His grave sits in front of him as the flowers grew.

"Are you done writing yet? I already have a flight set-up for Africa." Bucky said as he approached Steve.

"You know I'm not good in writing, Bucky? I'm more of a painter." Steve chuckled, as he folded the letter.

"We have to get moving. Or else they'll find us. You know the Avengers will force you out of retirement if they find us."

"That's the reason why we're going to Africa. Let's hope the King won't tell the Avengers."

"And let's hope the world doesn't know that Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes are still alive."
