Percy's point of view

After the guy gave me the key card, I got in the elevator and put the card in the slot. A new button popped up that said 600th floor. I pressed it and the elevator began to rise, the elevator music was terrible as usual, I wasn't sure what song it was but I knew it wasn't good.  When the elevator opened I stepped out and headed for the throne room of the gods. As I walked I could see what had been changed after the Second Titan war, and seeing it sent a pang through my heart knowing that my wise girl had designed it all. When I walked into the throne room I bowed to the gods not because I had respect for them all, it was mostly to avoid being blasted to bits. When I was standing upright again I said: "You summoned me."

My dad nodded and then he spoke he asked: "Percy how are you doing?"

 I answered, "I'm fine dad," oops I forgot one of Apollo's domains because only seconds after I said that he said, 

"He's lying." Damn it I thought. My dad said,

 "how are you really feeling, and don't lie,"

 I sighed and then said, "Fine, if you really want to know, I don't get enough sleep because I have at least one nightmare a night, but it's usually more than that, during the day I get flashbacks if I think about what happened for too long ..."

Apollo asked, "Have you been eating enough?" "Probably not," I admitted.

After I finished I think I heard my dad mutter, "It's worse than we thought."

 My dad spoke again he said, "We didn't just summon you here because we wanted to know how you are doing, although we are concerned about you. We summoned you here because we have a proposal for you."

 I remained silent but in my head, I was thinking what do they want this time? My dad continued he said "we have decided that in order to help you, we believe that you should go and stay with a group of mortal heroes for a few months.

I was confused, mortal heroes? what other heroes were there in New York besides the demigods? My dad answered my unspoken question, "You are probably wondering who we are talking about. You were in Greece while they had their most recent battle, but I'm sure you have heard of them. They are known as the Avengers." 

 My eyebrows shot up I said, "wait what! you want me to go live with The Avengers!" 

 Everyone in New York had heard about the Avengers, they had saved New York from a rogue Asgardian and a bunch of aliens, apparently, they must have faced something else while we were in Greece.   Leo was obsessed with Tony Stark, I have to admit his building skills were impressive but he has serious ego problems.

My dad said, "Yes we want you to go live with the Avengers, we believe that they will be able to help you, and you may also to be able to help them in return." 

 I said "wait would I be considered an Avenger or would I just be staying with them?" I wondered about this because I really don't like attention and that would be impossible to avoid if I am an Avenger. I can't avoid it at camp since everyone looks up to me but I would prefer to avoid it if I can.

My dad answered "yes you would be an Avenger, their leader has agreed to accept you, and you would fight by their side. We also give you permission to tell them about us since the first time you use your powers around them they would want to know how you can control water." 

So they are leaving it to me to explain, typical of the gods. "Will you agree to this?" my dad asked.

 I thought it over, I don't really like attention, but as far as I know, the Avengers stay in the tower most of the time unless they are fighting something. Almost everything at camp reminds me of her, so getting away from that might help me move on. I know that's what she would want; she wouldn't want me to be miserable over her death for the rest of my life and I knew that she definitely wouldn't want me to end my life early just to be with her. Although I can't deny that the thought has crossed my mind. I made my decision I said, "I'll do it."

My dad nodded and said, "now several of us also have gifts for you, and don't think that you wouldn't receive them if you hadn't accepted the proposal, because you would have." 

Shockingly the first goddess to give me their gift was Athena; she got off her throne and walked over to me she said, "Perseus I know I haven't always appreciated everything you have done for us and treated you poorly because you are my rival's son, but you have shown me that you are a worthy hero and that you are not your father. I want to apologize and give you my blessing."

I was shocked and I think many of the gods were as well, not to mention my dad, in reply I said: "Thank you Lady Athena I'll gladly accept."

 She said "my blessing will help you form battle strategies, as well as improve your knowledge and intelligence." she gave me her blessing, and then I thanked her again, afterward she turned and returned to her throne with many pairs of eyes staring at her in shock.

The next person to come up to me after everyone got over their shock was Apollo. He said, "hey cuz I have also decided to give you my blessing, it will give you greater skill in healing and Archery." I blushed when he said archery because I am downright terrible at it. He also mentioned that if I decided to take up a musical instrument I would be able to learn it more easily.

My dad was next he handed me a new sword it was celestial bronze and I said: "is that..."

 "Yes its mortal steel, so use it wisely," my dad said.

 I asked, "How were the two metals..." 

he cut me off again and said: "Don't ask me, ask Hephaestus he made it at my request." I thanked my dad and made a mental note to thank Hephaestus before I left. 

Next was Hestia she said, "Perseus will you be my champion." I said, "of course Lady Hestia, I would be honoured." So she placed her hand on my shoulder and made me her champion then she gave me a general idea of what powers came with the title.

I thought that was the end but before I could move Aphrodite sent a beam of pink light my way and conjured a mirror in front of me. I looked better than before, my hair was messier but still in a good way, my muscles were more pronounced but not so much that it looked unnatural. I also noticed that Hestia's making me her champion had left me with fiery orange flecks in my eyes. Aphrodite made the mirror disappear and then Dad said, "Now that that's finished you can head back to camp. Pack your things and say your goodbyes we will send you and your things to the Avengers tower at five.

I thanked them all again and then left Olympus. After I walked out of the empire state building, Argus drove us back to camp where I was soon mobbed by several of my friends. They were all asking questions at once. "What did the gods want you for?"

 "Why do you look different?"

 "What's with the new sword?"

 I said, "guys, guys if you would just quiet down I would tell you." They shut up so I told them what happened.

 "I said, "the gods believe I need help so they are sending me to live with the Avengers for a while."

Leo blurted, "Dude did you just say that the gods are sending you to live with the Avengers!"

 I said, "Yes Leo that's what I just said." 

He asked, "Will you get me Tony's autograph?"

 I shrugged and then said "sure Leo," 

Piper said, "that doesn't explain why you look different." 

I explained, "After I agreed to their plan several of the gods blessed me, my dad gave me this new sword, and Hestia made me her champion."

"What does that give you?" Jason asked.

 I said, "well here's one example," I concentrated and a flame appeared on my hand. Their jaws dropped even Leo's who had fire powers himself.

 I said, "Your dad isn't the only one with fire powers Leo."

 then I said close your mouths guys you'll catch flies." 

They shut their mouths and I turned to Piper I said: "My eyes look different because I became Hestia's champion, as for everything else your mother blessed me even though I didn't want it." Piper sighed and shook her head. I knew she wasn't always happy with her mother since Piper wasn't a girly girl like most of her siblings. Not long after this, I headed back to my cabin to pack my things, packing with ADHD not fun at all. After my things were packed I went and said goodbye to my friends and Chiron.

After I had done all that I was transported into a room where people who I assumed were the Avengers were having a meeting. There was one guy that I didn't recognize though; he was wearing an eyepatch like a pirate. When I appeared in the room they all turned and looked at me and then all Hades broke loose
