Chapter twenty: What I want
Chapter twenty:
Stacey Barton

Avenger Mansion.
"And this, is the training room. Don't worry, I only train with Tara sometimes.....and Sam never." Dad gave me the job of showing Mom around. Which kinda sucked, because he and Natasha got to leave on a mission, Nathan, Leo, Ava, Toni and Tara got to go on a mission and Sam was on the helicarrier.
No clue where everyone else was but I was left alone, with my crazy mother.
Jerks.
"I can't believe--."
"I can't believe your father lets you practice with those dangerous toys or blah blah blah." I repeated dully. Mom glared at me and flicked my head.
"Mind your manners young lady!!" I used to be jealous that everyone else knew their moms.
Now? Not so much anymore.
"Sorry Mom." I apologized.
"Every girl is capable of murder, if you hurt her, watch out you don't push me any further, any further, you're not the only one walking 'round with a loaded gun--." I pulled out my phone and answered, ignoring my Mom's weird looks.
"What's up Maria?" I asked.
"When everyone gets back, head up to the helicarrier pronto." I nodded.
"Yes ma'am....wait, why?" I heard her sigh on the other side.
"That, is private information. Can't share, someone could be listening." That's code for 'it's something that will effect us all, and I won't share until I see all of you.'
"Right. I'll send out a message to meet at the helicarrier."
"Thanks Barton." Maria hung up, and I put my phone back in pocket, turning back to my mother.
"Sorry Mom, I have to go." She frowned.
"Where? Somewhere dangerous? Because if that's so--."
"No, I'm just heading to the heilcarrier. I'll be back before the days over, I promise." Mom sighed and kissed my forehead.
"Fine. Just....be safe okay?" I nodded, smiling.
"Of course."

"Stacey!!" I smiled.
"Hey Stephanie!!" She gave me a quick hug and I blushed.
"I heard that the Avengers had to hang out in this cramped out weird Mansion. Are you alright?" I nodded.
"I'm fine Stephanie. My dad isn't that bad." She giggled, giving me a kind smile.
"Right." I chuckled, heading towards the debriefing room. Maria always had us head there when she wanted to tell us something important.
"So....can I ask you something?" I nodded.
"Of course. What's up?" Stephanie chuckled, looking slightly embarrassed.
"Welllll.....I wanted to ask you if you were dating Nathan." I nearly choked.
WHY DID EVERYONE THINK THAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!?!?!?!?
"EWW!! No!! Why would you think that?!" I exclaimed. Stephanie chuckled nervously.
"I was just wondering. You guys seemed kinda close so...." I shook my head quickly, trying to get that image out of my head.
"No!! Gross!! Nathan's like.....my older brother I never wanted!! But kinda wanted at the same time!!" Stephanie let out a small nervous laugh.
"Right. Sorry........so....do you have a boyfriend?" I shook my head. I never really had an interest in guys. That, and I was afraid if I got a boyfriend, Dad and Nathan would hunt them down, arrows and guns blazing.
"No. I don't. And what's with the sudden interest in my love life?" Stephanie blushed.
"Nothing!! I'm....I was just wondering." She forced a smile and I frowned. Kinda odd of her......
"Stacey!!" I jumped up.
"Maria?" She raised an eyebrow.
"You've been standing outside the room for about three minutes now. Come on, we don't have much time." Time? Why wouldn't we have enough time?

I watched Stacey walk into the debriefing room. Maria gave me a look before shutting the door.
I sighed and started walking. No way I'd be able to listen in.......someone would probably catch me.
"Stephanie."
"Josh." He pulled me into a room. Jon, his brother grinned.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the fallen archer." I growled.
"What is it?" I snapped. Josh frowned.
"You know very well what Chisholm. Your not supposed to be wooing some girl!" I glared at him.
"Stacey isn't just some girl Hamilton!! She can be useful!! Helpful!!" Jon snorted.
"If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that one." He muttered.
"Jon is right. Too risky."
"The boss said we could use some help. He just needs to make sure Maria won't get in the way, and Stacey can help us!!" I snapped. The brothers looked at each other and sighed.
"Fine. Just....be careful." I rolled my eyes and left the room.
Stacey could be helpful.....she will be helpful. She's a good girl, and really.....
Well......
Pretty.
"Chisholm!!" I looked up.
"Yes?" Agent Wilson sighed, holding files and an iPad in his hand.
"Have you seen Maria? Doctor Banner wanted me to give something to her. Said it was top secret and for her eyes only." I frowned. What was Maria hiding?
"I think Stacey mentioned something about talking to her in the debriefing room." I said. Wilson nodded and walked off. I frowned and slipped out of sight, following him carefully.
Lucky for him (and unlucky for me), the Avengers had finished their meeting. Black Panthers kid was in there too. I guess she technically counts as an Avenger now.
"Maria!! Doctor Banner wanted me to give this to you." Agent Wilson handed Maria the files. She nodded and walked back into the room.
Leonardo and Tarene walked off to do whatever those to do (probably flirt with each other until Leo's shield falls off), Sam walked off with Toni, leaving Nathan, Stacey, Wilson and Panther's kid.
"So I heard your Storm and T'Challa's kid." She nodded.
"Yes, I am. And I heard you are the flying suit of armor kid, sort of like Tony only you call yourself Falcon." Burn....sort of.
"Actually, I'm not really like Tony-."
"Really? Because I understand that you are also a tech genius much like Tony Stark." Wilson paused the growled, waking away. Nathan chuckled.
"Burn!!" Panther's kid raised an eyebrow before shaking her head and walking off.
If Nathan walked away I could have Stacey help me....or maybe........
I walked around the corner I was hiding behind, smiling as genuinely as I could.
"Hey Stacey. What was that meeting about?" Stacey shrugged, smiling sadly.
"Sorry Stephanie. Top secret. Avengers only."
"Which means you can't know." I sent a short glare at Nathan before looking back at Stacey smiling.
"It's alright. I understand. Avenger stuff."
"Next Avenger stuff actually. Which is why Falcon wasn't in there." Nathan said. Why won't he just shut up?!
"Well, I was wondering if Stacey wanted to go over those archery tips I promised I would show her." Stacey beamed and nodded.
"Of course." Stacey and I started walking down to the training room. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Nathan with a confused expression on his face. He and I both knew Stacey didn't need help.
However, Stacey thought she did because of her little....."accident".
Which worked out perfectly for me.
Considering I was the who saved the girl of my dreams.
That's how Prince Charming works right?
"So what should we work on? I mean, I think my aim is great, and Tara hasn't figured out yet why or how the arrow snapped." Tarene.....if the Thordottier found out how the arrow snapped, I was in big trouble.
"Maybe what happened was you were so concerned with beating Nathan or something, that you misfired and the wood snapped. The reason why the arrow snapped was because it hit the ground the wrong way." Stacey thought for a moment and smiled.
"Yea, maybe that was it. I'll bring it up to her later." I smiled back, happy she had bought that.
Stacey began to talk about something else, but I wasn't listening. I was too busy watching how her lips curled when she smiled, how soft her skin look, and how her blue eyes twinkled when she laughed.
She was perfect.
The girl of my dreams.
Blonde hair that curled at the end.....she could handle herself too.....and purple looked good on her.
Quickly, before I could think, I pushed Stacey against the wall. This may be my one chance......Nathan may never let her out of his sight again.
I didn't believe that Nathan didn't like her. She was too likable. Sorta like Tarene only less....warlike.
Not saying Tarene is warlike.
"Steph--!" I pushed my lips against hers, sighing at how soft they were. Stacey struggled for a minute, then relaxed. I smirked slightly, happy that I got what I wanted.
Just a kiss.
I pulled away, giving her lips one final peck before stepping backwards. If I was lucky....she wouldn't punch me.
Stacey stared at me, eyes wide, her chest rising and falling as she looked me over. She was looking for something..... A reason for my actions.
"Stacey, I--."
"I liked it." She whispered. I smiled, my heart soaring. She did like me. I knew it.
"I.....I liked it." She whispered again, before taking off running. I sighed, watching her go.
Part of me knew she needed time.
Rest just wanted her now.

sorry for the short chapter.
Next chapter has to do with Sam's....uh....unique family.
Oh, yes, Stacey is Lesbian. So is Stephanie.
Please no one give me a lecture about gay rights or something like that. I made Stacey gay because I can and I wanted to.
Plus I have a friend on here who is bi.
Anyway, vote comment, and wait patiently (ish) for the next chapter.
Bye.
