Chapter 7
CORA'S POV:
He put the saber down, bits of molten metal fell from my door.
He breathed through his mouth, sending a strand of bead black hair to brush from his face.
General Hux stared at the destruction of my door.
Burning embers still flared for the now, pitiful excuse of a door.
He glared at him, "Anything else Huxybear?" He taunted.
The sickly looking ginger man, made a face at him, giving me a nod of recognition, before he left.
"You're great with people."
"You shut your mouth, Sith." He growled.
I sighed, I had felt my strength regain, and if I wanted to, I think I could escape.
They probably had Stormtroopers guarding my door...but they were no match.
Also I have no door.
.
Little did Ren know, but my escape was just made easier, by his childish acts.
"Don't even think about it." He muttered as he took a step towards me.
"I don't know what you-"
He raised a hand and cut me off.
"Save it. Your little escape plan won't work, you'll be dead before you make it out of this ship."
He seemed irritated...good.
I noticed that he showed too many emotions.
Anger, confusion, rage. Yeah, rage was a big one.
I showed nothing, my face a mask, a shield.
I've only ever felt two emotions; pain, and anger.
Those were the only two necessary things to feel, everything else was inessential.
The Feelings other than pain and anger were created as a distraction.
Life was made millions of years ago, and everyone was too busy either falling in love, trying to find a "one true love" that doesn't exist, or crying because they are unwanted by that "one true love".
Love is a joke.
Everyone should know, that there comes a point, when you get tired of feelings, so you push away the sadness and the love, and you begin to feel nothing, and then all you'll ever feel is nothing...nothing but anger, and pain.
I am thankful I learned that so young, I am thankful, I was never exposed to such putrid thoughts and feelings.
"You wouldn't want to escape, only to die." He said, bringing me back from my thoughts.
"You wouldn't keep me alive, only to kill me." I countered.
He showed frustration, and he knew I was right.
"You are alive, Sith, for now."
I shrugged, that's good enough for me.
He made an agitated sigh as he looked at me, his foot placement held him directly in front of me, his dark animal like eyes stared me down.,
"I am going to make you a proposition."
I laughed, "I make no bargains."
"Then you won't leave. You will stay here, and die here. I can make your life hell."
I sat up straighter, and seethed at him, "You don't know hell Ren."
His gazed darkened, "Oh I do." His voice was soft, calculated, like he was trying to hold back from beating the shït out of me.
I would beat him.
"You know nothing of me, girl. I know hell." He spat.
I bit down on my cheek. I didn't just learn how to fight and use the force for the dark side.
I was taught about every person I might cross paths with.
Kylo Ren was one of those people.
I knew things about him, this he didn't know I knew.
I knew he trained with Luke Skywalker to be a Jedi, I know that he turned dark while training, and joined the Knights of Ren. I know he fell under the influence of "Supreme" Leader Snoke of the First Order, and that he murdered the new generation of Jedi that Luke Skywalker was training.
I know where Luke Skywalker is...
I know his name is Ben. His father is Han Solo, who has just recently been killed according to Lord Goreum. I don't know how, but I know the Smuggler is dead.
I also know his mother is Princess Leia Organa, so yes, I know a lot about him. More than he knows about me.
I kept my mouth shut.
"So your proposition?..." I asked, slightly curious.
A lock of thick, jet black hair fell across his face.
"You, join us."
My eyes bulged, and I became overcome with laughter.
My short, soft, chuckles seemed to piss him slightly off.
"You are joking, right?"
His face was straight, yet slightly irritated.
Holy fück. He's not kidding. Though he doesn't seem the type to joke.
"You're crazy, right? A Sith Lord, joining the First Order?"
He spoke calm, yet as his foot tapped on the metal flooring...I knew he was becoming impatient.
"The Sith will die out, extinction has always been their fate. It's inevitable. Instead of dying like the rest of them. You will reside in continuing your title. You will be Lord Cora Drakon of the First Order, no longer a Sith Lord."
I sighed, "How are you so sure? That the Sith extinction will happen, and so soon? The Jedi are all dead." I glanced at him, his face was deep in concentration.
"The Jedi are the Sith's only threat." I continued, "and there is only one remaining Jedi. That's Luke Skywalker and he-" I stopped.
That seemed to catch his attention, his glare was now on me.
His eyes accusing, "What do you know of Luke Skywalker? Do you know where he is?"
I did.
"No..." I lied carefully, knowing his power I did my best not to linger on Luke Skywalkers name, in fear of him finding out that I wasn't telling the truth.
He continued to stare.
"I don't. Luke Skywalker isn't a threat right now. So tell me Kylo Ren, what is the Sith's threat?" I tried changing the subject quickly, before he saw right through me.
He shook his head, "What do you know of Luke Skywalker?"
I sighed, "Not much." Another lie. "I know he's your uncle. I know you trained with him for a short period of time before joining the Knights of Ren."
I left out the part where I knew that he slaughtered the Jedi training with him.
Job well done on his part, those Jedi Scum deserved everything they got.
He only nodded, his dark eyes showing some relief that I didn't know everything.
See? The guy shows too many feelings.
"My turn, answer my question. What is the Sith's other threat?"
I already knew the answer though.
"Us. The First order is your threat."
Bingo.
He sighed sitting down for the second time today on the edge of my bed.
His eyes traveling off as he began to talk...
"The Sith is small. Your numbers have shrunk, before all the Jedi were killed they thought they got all of you..." He glanced up at me. "But they didn't. You still live on. With you as one of the Lords, the Sith will grow. You will take on apprentices, and I can see it now...they will be big successes under you immense power..."
I frowned, was he complimenting me?
"But that will never happen, in the given situation."
Never mind.
"Since you are now our captive, it will take Goreum years to train another apprentice, and by then we will have found your ship." He looked to me,"and we would destroy it."
He moved to face me, his actions slow, and his deep voice was soft.
"You are the threat we need to wipe out, you are a competitor that needs to die. The Sith will be extinct like they should have years ago...and we will finish the Jedi Scums intentions."
I breathed out as I felt his hand reach out for mine, in replacement of a handshake, it lingered, waiting for my response.
"The only question is...will you join us?"
I stared through his eyes, my mind entering his as I reached for something more.
He was hard to read mentally, sure he showed emotions, but there was so much more going on.
As I pushed past his mind blockades and buriers, I realized.
This is way too easy.
It was too easy to read his mind, and only then I realized that he was letting me in.
It was something that I've never felt or experienced before.
Trust.
Kylo Ren wanted me to know that he wasn't lying, or trying to manipulate me for the worst.
All that he said was true.
The First Order wanted me to join them to make their forces stronger.
The Sith is going to die.
I broke out of his mind and breathed, my breaths were short, my face red from the effort of mind searching.
I closed my eyes, and sighed as I began to think.
Life was created millions of years ago with only one goal.
Survival.
Why people do the things they do, they do for power, and why do these people need power?
For survival.
No matter the luxury each one thinks is necessary, survival is always in ones mind.
I let out an almost shaky breath, my composure would not be broken in such a time.
As I placed my tiny hand, in the cold-yet warm hands of Kylo Ren, and looked into his power-hungry eyes, I only thought of one thing.
I need to survive.
And as his hand enclosed mine, I sealed my fate.
