SHELA
Shela couldn't believe what happened, her only son had passed out right before their eyes and because of that, she blamed the stupid box. If it hadn't come into the picture then none of this would have happened. Whoever sent them that box wanted something to happen. Now Ezra was unconscious on the couch covered in sweat, she placed a blanket over him and pulled Sam aside.
"Okay, I think we can definitely say that this is because of that box." Shela said.
"I know but we don't know where the box is."
"What do you mean you don't know where the box is?" Shela asked. "Tell me you didn't lose it."
"I didn't lose it, it was locked away in the safe, but someone must have snuck in and taken it."
"You think Ezra could have done this?"
"He's been acting weird all week I do in fact believe that he is the one behind this."
"Samuel James Winchester," Shela said. "My son would never do something like this, he's a good kid."
"Shela, think about it," Sam responded. "Ever since the box arrived, Ezra has differed completely from how we know him to be."
"Yes, but.."
"And if we don't figure out what that box really wants, then we might lose Ezra." Shela couldn't argue with that, she loved her son dearly. Whatever that thing was, wanted Ezra's body alone, it didn't even care about his soul just that he was powerful enough for something to take control and with all that power that Ezra held, it was no wonder that anything or anyone would do anything to have his powers.
"Okay, you've made your point, we'll have to deal with it somehow but the first thing we need to do is learn more about this Dybbuk," Sam nodded as they turned to walk out of the hallway only to hear Ezra scream. Shela and Sam locked eyes with each other and took off into the living room to find Ezra was not in the bed anymore. "Ezra?!" Shela called out. Suddenly a weird sensation spread throughout her body causing the ends of her hair to stand up. Something was off, she couldn't feel the connection with Ezra. It was there briefly, but it was slowly dissipating. Like something was ready to kill him. Shela and Sam searched the entire bunker but couldn't find him, Shela thought long and hard wondering what else had gone down when a sudden realization had hit her. She ran passed Sam and raced for Ezra's bedroom, the minute she stepped in she saw that the old wooden box was sitting in the middle of the room, opened wide, the contents of the box were spread out in front of it. "This isn't good."
"What is?" Sam asked and ran after Shela, when he stepped into Ezra's room he knew what she was talking about. "Oh, shit.." Shela looked around the room as her eyes landed on a drawing of a cicada. "So first we have beetles, then moths now we got cicada's? What do cicadas have to do with any of this?"
"We'll have to find out. If you're right and this is a Dybbuk, then we need to figure out what to do about saving Ezra."
"A dybbuk is a malevolent entity right?" Shela asked.
"Yeah, it is, it's a spirit that has unfinished business."
"Then we can exorcize it, send it back to the box where it came from."
"It's not as easy as you think Shell," Sam said. "The Dybbuk is from a different culture, come on," Sam walked out of Ezra's room, Shela followed making sure she didn't touch the box for fear that she herself might get possessed. Her and Sam entered the library where Sam walked briskly toward the bookshelves. He looked through the shelves until he found the exact thing he needed and brought it over to the large table in the center of the room with a large map. He opened the book and flipped to the page he was searching for. "Right here, the Dybbuk is a malevolent wandering spirit that enters and possesses the body of a living person until exorcized."
"That's it?" Shela asked. "Is there anything else on there that could help? How would we be able to exorcize it?"
"We can't do it ourselves, since it's part of Jewish Folklore only a Rabbi can exorcize the spirit."
"If that's the case, then don't you and your brother know a particular Rabbi?" Sam thought about it for a few moments, and a thought occurred to him. Aaron Bass was the last Rabbi that was still alive, which meant that he needed to give Aaron a call and tell him the situation.
"I'll call him right now," Sam responded. "You should find Ezra, I'll try to contact Aaron." Shela nodded and saying nothing else, went to find her son.
