    It is funny how life changes... Things that you don't expect just happens, changing everything that was in place before and can't be reversed.

    Yes, apologies can be said, but it doesn't change what had happened, you just find a way to move past it but it can't be ignored because it's still there.

    No matter how hard Wren tried, she couldn't come to forget about the food fight. She was surprised that the school did nothing about it. Of course it was because of that Tristan... She felt like calling him Trojan horse... A virus.

    Her first two days in a completely new school was horrible. Way to go! But she wasn't completely angry about it but it made her know what she was up for... Knowing her friends and foes. Keeping the friends close and defend herself against her foes.

    Funny enough, Nathan was her new BFF, screw Ian and Mona. Its been two weeks after the incident and she avoided Ian and his wife so she called them.  They had tried severally to talk to her but she only ignored them. It was a pity she wasn't such a forgiving person and she took friendship very seriously.

    She was always seen with Nathan and had been to his house a couple of times so had he seen her parents since he dropped and picked her from and to school most of the time. So she didn't see the need of joining the school bus. Their friendship blossomed to everyone's amazement and jealousy. She got to know a lot about Nathan. He loved singing and could play the piano and guitar. Sometimes they both sneaked into the music room to play some instrument while Wren sang she knew she wasn't a great singer but tried. Sometimes she just listened to him. She became really comfortable with him that she could tell him just anything at all. Last Friday they had gone to the lakeside to enjoy the view and ate pizza Wren loved pizzas a lot.. Who doesn't?

      She told him about her interest in swimming although she hasn't told him yet her actual reason for swimming even as a glass wearer which wasn't common. Swimmers don't usually have eye problems yet she did and refused to back out even after so much discouraging advice from people. She alone knew why she did this.

     Mona always wore that guilty look so did Ian.. He even asked her for the dinner she promised but she ignored him. But she couldn't stop her feelings for him which was surprising only she didn't let it show and he hung out most of the time with Mona. Nathan still talked to them, Wren knew she couldn't stand in the way of their long time friendship. And he always asked her to get over it and talked to them, but that conversation ended with an argument.

     Tristan-the-jerk was still out there with his barbie girlfriend, Rachel. He hadn't talked to her, only gave her that smirk that sent shivers down her spine. She just avoided him while he carried that look of victory which was even more annoying.

   
      He hadn't done anything yet but the kids did his dirty work, glaring her daggers and picking up fights with her but Nathan to her rescue... The kids respected him a lot too.

     The weekend was over and its yet another Monday and she hated Mondays, everyone does anyways. She dragged her feet into the school building. Nathan had told her earlier that he wouldn't make it on time so she had to join the school bus which she hadn't done in awhile. She felt so free, no word from the monster and no one was giving her those glares. She couldn't wait to finally finish highschool and leave this annoying school. Coming to her locker, passing through the crowd of students and worshippers, she heard whispers and shouts. Apparently everyone turned to the entrance. She is knew who that would be... Tristan and his delinquents. Her ears were burning from the remarks the girls gave them while some of the guys were jealous and wished to be like them especially Tristan.

    She could give them the credit yeah, they were hot but wouldn't do that in front of them anyway. They were all in the school's football team with Jake as captain. Ryder was in Lacrosse team and Basketball team where he was captain.. Being the sport freak he was.

     The four of them were best of friends and were always seen together. They have the richest parents here who were all business men and women and politicians. Making waves in the world of business, owners of very large companies and hotels which was known all over the globe.

      She couldn't stop thinking why she was here. Her parents weren't half as rich as any parent here, not that she was ashamed of them, anyways. She was proud to have them as her parents. Only she'd have preferred it in a less rich school where she wouldn't be intimidated. She didn't know how her mom got that connection, she wasn't also going to tell her either.

     Wren got tired of listening to the mushy girls especially this one next to her who dyed her hair blonde and had freckles scattered around her face  and couldn't just save her woman pride and be quiet. These girls were unbelievable, rich girls sure are. Speaking of freckles, she had a scarf tied around her neck ,Nathan bought it for her. And she wondered why he wasn't here already. She immediately started going for her first classes when she met the pretty boy/ Ryder smiling down at her.

     Ryder was Asian, Korean to be precised but had lived in America all his life. He was one of those Koreans who were incredibly attractive. He was considerably tall basketball captain of course.  Had dyed his hair blonde which was still wet from shower, had oh-so-brown eyes complimented by full dark lashes, well chiseled nose and jawbone with cupid pink lips. He beat American boys to that. He had a hidden tattoo behind his ear and wore an earring on his left ear. He was too beautiful.

She knew she hadn't ever talked to her before and was wondering why he just did now.

  "Hi Wren " he smiled again gaining attention from the glaring fan girls. His smile was infectious so she reciprocated it .still wondering how the hell he knew her name.

     "Hey, Ryder. How may I help you "
 
Awe.. That came out wrong but does it matter?

   "Nice scarf there "he referred to her hot pink scarf, still showing his perfect row of teeth.

"Thanks " her brows we're furrowing.

"Can you turn around for a sec? "

She wanted to argue and retort but those gentle smiles... She turned around only to see Tristan. Her heart exploded and her perfect blue eyes bobbed out at the sight of green eyed monster. She adjusted her glasses, shifted backward to gain composure. He looked at her smirking dubiously.

" So much for not being scared of me, nerd" a smirk rested effortlessly on his lip, annoying her. He hadn't apologized for what he did and here he was pretending like nothing happened. Of course she didn't expect him to drop down and start apologizing especially now in front of everyone.

  "Real hot scarf. It really doesn't suit you, tho." He eyed her  "Nerd" he called out, spitting the word like venom.

Ouch, that hurt.

And the other students stood there laughing like fools.

   "New glasses?  Oh my gosh, did I ruin the other one?" he mocked her she tried not to cry or punch his face.
And yes, her other glasses got ruined due to the food fight which her mom didn't know about yet she got her a new one after much struggle but with a lot of questions. Wren had to lie and she hates lying to her mom, this was all Tristan's fault!

"What, nerd? Cat caught your tongue?"

"What do you want, Tristan? "  she found her voice. Putting herself together.

"Oh, she can talk! By the way, I don't remember telling you my name... Someone has been gossiping, huh? That's so cheap. If you like me, just say it already... Are you shy, baby bear? "

Oh my gosh, this boy is so pathetic. Like him? Ughhh!!!  If only he knew how much she wants tear his face with her nails. This was too much.

"You wish, Tristan. I should be asking why you keep hitting on me, get a life! " she found courage to say, glaring at him. He was taken aback by her statement. He probably didn't see that one coming.

"Hitting on YOU?! haha.. Is that what you want? I thought as much, but sorry, I don't do nerds "

Ouch. That backfired

"That's my pleasure, so back off, jerk " She glared at him.
 
"You haven't learned your lessons, nerd. No one talks back at me. Now you're in trouble, you have to apologize and take those words back" he growled, those scary eyes again.

  "Make me... " she was scared at what he'd do next....

"What's going on here? "  It was Nathan. Thank God! She ran and hugged him.

"Thank God you're here "  she said as he hugged her back.

"How romantic... Here comes the knight in shining armor " Tristan mocked referring to Nathan who was still holding Wren. He looked really angry, shooting glares at Tristan.

  "Stop hurting her, Tristan " he warned angrily, his blue eyes filled with rage.

  "Or what? Old friend. You're just a toothless barking dog "

Wren knew Nathan had a bad temper and this would result to a fight she wanted to stop it but waited for Nathan to punch him first, he so deserved it.

    As she guessed, Nathan threw a heavy punch at him, breaking his nose. 
 

   This is soooo cooool

She watched as Tristan tried to return the punch then missed it. She knew this was the best time to separate the angry boys. She got to know today that the two boys were once best friends but Nathan never talked about him.

    "Stop it, Nathan. He's not worth your time. Let's go a... " she was cut short by a blow that went straight into her stomach from Tristan. It was really hard and painful and she couldn't contain the pain, everything turned to blur as she only heard shouts and screaming around her. She couldn't even stand up, her legs were weak and shaky as she wobbled and fell to the floor.

Seeing what happened, Tristan and his delinquents left the scene as the other students scampered away. Ryder felt sorry and stayed back to assist Nathan whose eyes were red shot and close to tears. They both carried her to the school's clinic without hesitating.

Hey, guys laaate update, I know
Considering how long I stayed before updated, this chapter is short. Its all for a reason... I'm sorry to keep you guys waiting.

The truth is that, I got distracted and discouraged along the line. But I'm back now!!! Please don't slack. I really want to finish up this book on wattpad and start a new one  ....
